Ad? Nah, we’re more like that friend who overexplains things at a party. Whether Windows 11 is trash or treasure is totally up to you. We’re just here to lay out the details and let you decide!
"Fresh, modern look" Have people become that superficial? Does a hammer need a "fresh, modern look" to what it is designed to do? Computers are tools. If Microsoft wanted users to have a fresh, modern look, they would make it easy for each user to set the UI up to suit how they use their computers. Instead, they have bloated each successive version such that the user is forced to deal with Microsoft's vision of how you should use your computer.
Totally get your point that computers are tools. But let’s face it, Microsoft’s vision is less ‘hammer’ and more ‘Swiss Army knife with 87 attachments.’ Our goal here is to share the details, not endorse the design choices.
At the end of the day, it’s your device, your rules. You want Linux? Cool. You want Windows? Cool. You want to write code on parchment with a quill? Extra cool. You do what works best for you! 😊
You didn't mention the bad things about Windows 11 such as updates which just makes things worse and they scramble to fix them and how windows force you to log in into their own account and you have to work your way around it to have your own password locally. And let's not forget the ads ads ads. And the constant nagging and you just can't avoid it without some sort of tinkering, the endless search in Google how to prevent all this bad things about Windows 11. t's just sucks Windows 11 sucks that's the truth.
@@SimplexITBob My comment was not suggest but to point out how terrible window 11 is and how the video fail to mention that. Looks to me this a video with an invitation to such a terrible software with consequent headaches. I will not suggest recommend or advice based on my experience because at the end whether I like it or not even myself if i decide to continue using windows and because of security issues, against my own will, I will have to upgrade and brace myself with this problematic software. Something I don't have problems with Windows 10. Sure there are nice upgrades and features but was the point if I'm going to have problematic windows 11 issues.
@@onezavalar , appreciate the response. The challenge we have while making the videos is one of balance and perspective, along with time. A majority of the end user folks I deal with regarding Windows 11 (and for that matter every version prior) don't (seem) to have significant problems consistently (or they put up with it or don't use that particular feature) beyond initial rollout. And we can't do videos that show every nook and cranny. We just did another video a couple of weeks ago showing people how Microsoft was going to push the "new" Outlook automatically. The video didn't talk at all about why (or if) the new Outlook was better and/or different. Just that it was going to happen and how to either prevent it and/or switch back. Shorter videos have no choice but focus on a specific goal or message.
Thanks, very informativ presentation.
Glad it was helpful!
The start menu on Windows 11 looks more like Windows 8 and 8.1 than Windows 10.
The Start Menu does borrow some vibes from Windows 8. Maybe they’re hoping to give it a redemption arc?
You sound like an add for this 11 garbage!

Just use Linux

So, based on your experience I would suggest you stick with 10?
