Thank you for covering this horrendous crime! This woman should never be set free for the torture & starvation & hate she intentionally inflicted on her own son. I have nothing bad to say about this Judge I just find it a conflict of interest to see she gets the same treatment as others that have sat in her seat. I found a few on his dad and stepmom's FB profiles, but why TF did they hand over these children to a woman who could not legally get custody bc she was ABUSIVE? They knew that & they just said, "Here, take them"?? Also, why didn't Eric Ferguson (bio dad) ever check on his kids?? And if he did, HOW did he not know Timothy was being tortured and abused?? I blame them too. Also, grandparents? Aunts? Uncles? Why was no one insisting on some update or contact on this child???

She's exactly the same as the mother in "A Child Called It." She focused her abuse on 1 child the same way, until he got free of her. Sadly, this young man will never escape his abuser. She not only KNEW what she was doing, she revelled in it all. I hope she rots in prison.
This case reminded me of that one, as well. I read it years ago when I was a teenager. There were different abuses, but very reminiscent. I cannot fathom the depths of hell these evil women crawled out from. RIP Timothy.
It’s very common for abusers to pick only one child to unleash their rage on. Of course the other children will suffer in different ways, but they’ll pick one child to be the “Scapegoat”. It could be because the child has disabilities, reminds the abusive parent of their ex-partner, has toilet training issues, behavioral problems, or for no “reason” at all. The abusive parent(s) will often recruit the other children in the household to dole out abuse as well. It just becomes “normal” for them. It’s sick and can carry on for generations. As displayed in this case.

That poor child died thinking nobody loved him and that is the saddest thing to me. I can't imagine how he must have felt wondering why his mom out of all the kids chose to hate only him and even made his brother keep up the torture while she was gone. He hadn't had a hug, a kiss on his cheek or the caress of a mother's hand through his hair when he wasn't feeling well. Thank God he isn't suffering through daily torture anymore and he can finally have peace.

Best prosecutor I’ve seen in a long time. His cross of Shanda was absolutely golden. The evidence spoke enough to find her guilty but the prosecutor, man… amazing.
Did you see how he subtly and brilliantly tricked her into showing the jurors she had absolutely nothing wrong w her memory? It was so subtle, you almost couldn't catch it. He's brilliant! He purposely said, "Timothy weighed 108" (a couple months prior to his death) and she corrected him with, "104." He said, "Oh right, so glad you corrected me! So glad you remembered that. 104..." He's so good! 👏👏👏
I love how everything flows with this Prosecutor. This is literally the worst case of abuse I have seen in a very long time. I have an extremely challenging special needs child. Never could I contemplate this. This woman makes me so so sick to my stomach. And the fact how this boy suffered will be forever engrained in my mind.

Same thing happened to me when I watch and followed the Takoda Collins case 💔 Never experience feelings like that for someone I didn't know personally. I feel empathy for all abused kids but learning about Takoda Collins really broke my spirit for months.

The Timothy case affected me and the emotions I went through and still are going through has left me so angry and so hurt at the same time. I pray about the anger . Where did she get so much hatred from? How can she protect one child while severely traumatising the others?I also feel for Paul he was so brainwashed into obeying her. Thank you. I have a special needs aunt in her late 80s. I am so thankful that my grandmother didn't give up on her, and helped her beat the odds. This story has infuriated me, because with the right parents these special people thrive.
She hated her son and resented him so much she enjoyed making him suffer because of the inconvenience he was to her life and i think that turned into this sadistic way of enjoyment while making him suffer.

I just watched the interview with her Defense Attorney 😮 That man went on camera and said JUSTICE WAS SERVED 😔 He agreed 💯 with the verdict.. I've never seen a defense attorney admit that their client was guilty
Not only this case. Case of Jaylin who starved to death. Little girl of 1 year old. Her mom let her alone during 11 days. Her lawyer shook the hands on prosecution side when verdict was read and he was happy. Many lawyers arent on the side of their client.

I have two little incredible boys and one is 5. He's non verbal autistic with a lot of other disabilities. And this case makes me hug & love him even more than I already do. Both boys. It is soul destroying. I was in the supermarket a couple of weeks ago. I got talking to autistic young man in his 40s. He was just amazing and he was looking at the sandwiches and drinks. He Mother said she could afford to buy. I told him to choose what he wanted. It made his day and of course mine. Every human being in this world is equal and should be treated with love and respect. All I can think is that as I’ve loved my baby girl, this poor baby boy was being abused and terrorized by the woman who was supposed to protect him from everything she possibly could. My GOD. How could you EVER do this? To ANYONE? We ran out of guinea pig food yesterday and I was quite literally outside today with scissors to find them fresh grass to eat. My own flesh and blood? I’d slice off pieces of MYSELF if she was hungry. This is beyond horrific and evil. My soul aches for this baby boy. I cannot even imagine the agony he endured. The utter devastation and loneliness. How could you do this? How could you have this child in your life all the years I’ve had mine and do anything other than cherish them? I don’t understand. I will never understand.

Timothy DID escape his abuser. He is now with God in Heaven, where everyone loves him.
It’s very common for abusers to pick only one child to unleash their rage on. Of course the other children will suffer in different ways, but they’ll pick one child to be the “Scapegoat”.
It could be because the child has disabilities, reminds the abusive parent of their ex-partner, has toilet training issues, behavioral problems, or for no “reason” at all.
The abusive parent(s) will often recruit the other children in the household to dole out abuse as well. It just becomes “normal” for them. It’s sick and can carry on for generations. As displayed in this case.

That poor child died thinking nobody loved him and that is the saddest thing to me. I can't imagine how he must have felt wondering why his mom out of all the kids chose to hate only him and even made his brother keep up the torture while she was gone.
He hadn't had a hug, a kiss on his cheek or the caress of a mother's hand through his hair when he wasn't feeling well. Thank God he isn't suffering through daily torture anymore and he can finally have peace.

Best prosecutor I’ve seen in a long time. His cross of Shanda was absolutely golden. The evidence spoke enough to find her guilty but the prosecutor, man… amazing.
Did you see how he subtly and brilliantly tricked her into showing the jurors she had absolutely nothing wrong w her memory? It was so subtle, you almost couldn't catch it. He's brilliant! He purposely said, "Timothy weighed 108" (a couple months prior to his death) and she corrected him with, "104." He said, "Oh right, so glad you corrected me! So glad you remembered that. 104..."

Same thing happened to me when I watch and followed the Takoda Collins case 💔 Never experience feelings like that for someone I didn't know personally. I feel empathy for all abused kids but learning about Takoda Collins really broke my spirit for months.

What about Timothy’s father? He knew she wasn’t supposed to be with timothy alone, only supervised visits. He not only allows her have custody, but to also move out of state. IMO, that’s she moved to avoid being found out.
Also, that’s why she could not take the kids to school or even to a doctor, she was looking out for herself!

How can anyone hate anyone this much, especially their own child. I have lost sleep thinking about what Timothy went thru. It haunts me thinking about him dying alone and starved, and ive never even met him. But that doesn’t matter.
This hurts me personally because I have ADHD and Autism, I can't imagine my parents treating me like that.

Not only this case. Case of Jaylin who starved to death. Little girl of 1 year old. Her mom let her alone during 11 days. Her lawyer shook the hands on prosecution side when verdict was read and he was happy.
Many lawyers arent on the side of their client.
He did a wonderful job explaining the torture that this poor child endured. Shame shame shamw on her. Oh this is infuriating and heartbreaking. May his sweet soul rest in sleep.

I have two little incredible boys and one is 5. He's non verbal autistic with a lot of other disabilities. And this case makes me hug & love him even more than I already do. Both boys. I cannot imagine, I'm seething right now. They are my best buddies and this case has me completely destroyed for Timothy. Bless his sweet soul.

I was in the supermarket a couple of weeks ago. I got talking to autistic young man in his 40s. He was just amazing and he was looking at the sandwiches and drinks. He Mother said she could afford to buy. I told him to choose what he wanted. It made his day and of course mine. Every human being in this world is equal and should be treated with love and respect.

Don’t know this case. Just found it. My daughter is 15. All I can think is that as I’ve loved my baby girl, this poor baby boy was being abused and terrorized by the woman who was supposed to protect him from everything she possibly could. My GOD. How could you EVER do this? To ANYONE? We ran out of guinea pig food yesterday and I was quite literally outside today with scissors to find them fresh grass to eat. My own flesh and blood? I’d slice off pieces of MYSELF if she was hungry. This is beyond horrific and evil. My soul aches for this baby boy. I cannot even imagine the agony he endured. The utter devastation and loneliness. How could you do this? How could you have this child in your life all the years I’ve had mine and do anything other than cherish them? I don’t understand. I will never understand.

Same here. We have pets and I feel bad if I don't have everything they could possibly want for a day, let alone what they need. I make sure they don't run out of what they need.

If punishment is warranted for him and it may be, I hope it's aIso with treatment so when he does get released, he may have a chance. I'm sure aII her chiIdren need heIp in that house of horror.

Jesus Christ ended this baby’s suffering and cradled him in his arms and brought him home to be with Jesus Christ and THE FATHER. God Bless this prosecutor, Judge and the defense attorney who definitely deserves praises for defending a case that he didn’t really want to defend but had to, he said justice was served after the sentencing, and that he’ll have nightmares of the images for a while, as I’m sure most in the court room will except THE EVIL MONSTER.
