That's the exact word I use to describe her. She's kind of like a Stevie Nick's and Annie Lenox. I'm not saying she SOUNDS like them, but that they give that other worldly vibe.

I am always saying the same thing about closing the eyes, Valerie. I always disagree with Simon Cowell and others when they are saying non-sense about eye contact etc..... I feel so connected with those who close their eyes, they are believable for me, true artists.
Simon Cowell is a no for me. He hates Billie Eilish which is why he hates the performance, like bruh....ur judging talent not the song (meaning not just the song). He never likes the performance bc it’s Billie eilish. Smh

I suspect, but I don't know, that this music career took off when she was so young (14) that the whole family gathered around her to make certain she had the support she needed. Plus, the horror movie style things she does come from her dreams. It is really more like surrealistic poetry and visual art. (She has synesthesia and sees music in colors and patterns.) Much hunch is that they will always work together to some extent, but Billie handles the videos on their own. They are friends with Alfonso Caron, and I would not be surprised to see Billie Eilish as a film director. You know, our very own American Fellini! Love you love her. BTW, I am probably 20 years older than you, and I am just fascinated by this pair!

This is such a beautiful song! The Ronis of her voice and I know that she’s struggling to seeing this because she has said in an interview before that she struggled. Even with that it’s so pure and so raw and it’s my favorite Billie Eilish song.

Billie has no equal for what she does! But if you lived through the 60's you would see and hear the Beatles for their PLACE in history, google the song Locomotion by Little Eva and you would understand ! The first song I ever bought was I Should Have Know Better by the Beatles, before Beatles popular music was just silly and not memorial at all. Please let me know if you understand what I am talking about. I had this very conversation with a 30 year old who did not understand the Beatles and their remarkable contributions and journey.
Their are other vocal coaches and singing teacher who see Billie in the same light. The difference is they can sing her songs slightly similar to Billie your singing made my ears bleed. As a knight I am unable to lie, sorry.

Agree with you that great artists who are emotionally connected to the music usually sing with their eyes closed. Michael Jackson did it thru most of She's Out of my Life (omg you should react to the performance of that song in Brunei lol) But Billie and Finneas are amazing and their songs like this one here are powerful enough to bring the audience to tears like MJ did and Celine Dion and many other legends. Billie is talented, beautiful, unique and she will be a legend in her own way 💚
Nice you picked up on her diction, she said in an interview that she works hard at it and is very proud of it. She said she drove her producer brother nuts by insisting on the song Bad Guy that pronunciations were crisp and perfect.

Her use of embellishment is very unique to her, it cannot be duplicated. Even though it seems like her voice is cracking when she hits certain notes, it still seems like it is in control for some reason and it is beautiful to listen to because it seems genuine. What makes her interesting as an artist is how her bad girl/butchy look in no way matches her angelic voice. She would never win an American Idol title due to her uniqueness, which is why I stopped watching it. I was also turned off by her once I saw her attempt to recreate a scene from The Exorcist. But I fell in love with her voice once again when I heard her rendition of Yesterday at the Oscars......I was blown away and became a fan again.

I will NEVER understand how "voice teachers" can pause a song so many times IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUILD UP... That way you will NEVER appreciate the note changes/jumps. In this video, you pause it EVERY TIME right before the high notes of the songs, and you just DON´T UNDERSTAND what´s happening here.
Great video! :) Just wanted to give a bit of feedback. Idk if you want advice from the comments so feel free to ignore this if u don't, I'm not trying to tell you how you should run your channel. That aside, one thing I noticed was your intro was a bit long. Usually it's a good idea to plug Patreon/merch at the end of the video. I'm a new viewer so none of that felt relevant to me so it just ends up wasting the first minute or so of the video. For a new viewer the first minute can be critical because first impressions last. There's been times a video title interested me enough to click but then the creator waffles on at the beginning about liking/subscribing/checking out their Patreon and I end up clicking off bc i lose interest. If my first impression of a person is them trying to sell me something it can sour the impression. Imo it should be Content first then at the end you can do announcements/merch/etc. If you want to make sure your returning viewers know there's updates at the end then spend a quick 5-10 seconds saying something along the lines of "There's channel updates at the end, so stay tuned" or something. This is just my take on it as a long LONG time TH-cam content watcher and content creator myself. Enjoyed the meat of the video I just think it'd be a shame if people end up clicking off because the drawn out intro. Hope you're doing well! :)
