    She can sing "normal" she was in a choir for many years. Her vocal choices are her choice not accidents not wrong. Called a personal still. She knows how not to damage her voice which not always the case with artists.

    I am positive that the fallout in her voice was on purpose because if you actually listen right after her voice goes out she hits an even higher note in the next line perfectly

    • @danielboyle2554
      @danielboyle2554 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's actually the same note. "o-VER" and "QUI-et" are both an E5. It's not as deep as they're making it out to be... it's hitting a high note at a purposely soft dynamic at the end of a phrase with a decrescendo while going upward vs. at the beginning of a phrase going downward (early in the morning). Much easier to do the second one.

    The most popular singers definitely aren't the most technically gifted ones. People prefer singers with the ability to project personality and emotion through songs. There are plenty of technically gifted singers, but they'll never go anywhere, because they can't connect with an audience. Adele is the only one I can think of with a truly great voice and the ability to channel emotion through it. I've lost count of the amount of singers I've seen in musicals, or showcase nights and theres just nothing behind the vocal at all. No passion, no emotion. It's been trained out of them. It's all well and good to hit a note, but can you make me feel it?

    • @theagaram9581
      @theagaram9581 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lady Gaga is classically trained, Demi Lovato has great vocal ability too. So i think it's preference. Some want to hear those amazing vocals that can transmit emotion too like Demi and Gaga do succesfully (late Whitney Houston as well) and some prefer soft angelic voices (which can be well trained). But I think it's more respectable to train hard for your craft. But if you're a very very good songwriter it matters less. Although I think many people have both and aren't famous which truly is a shame and makes me wonder why these not as vocally gifted people become famous. Just my opinion. I'm also a singer so that affects my opinion.

    I thought maybe you'd comment on Finneas. He's the one playing piano and he is her older brother. He wrote the song, and he's such a good harmoniser, careful to stay just below what ever level she is singing at. And his piano is played like an extension of her as well, so subtle. Her entire album was performed and produced in his bedroom. Such a great brother and sister combo.

    From what I've heard and seen of Bilie she's a performer and she thinks of the musicvideo performance too a lot so her way of singing is part of the performance, it's about telling a story with her whole body and soul and voice and not about singing it "perfect" but perfect to get the emotion and story to come out. And yes it's distress, check out the music video to this and you will get this performance better.

    I agree. All her songs are similar in that instead of just opening up, using her natural singing voice, she tries to control it too much to add ''drama'' or entertainment value. Being a teenager, I think she's trying to copy bad singers that were/are popular.. I just want to hear her sing, really sing, rather than ''perform''.

    As recommended below, I would love you to take a look at her Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. She clearly relaxed more and more with him (good job, Mr. Corden!), and it seemed to my untrained ear that as it went on she was just singing to herself or with a friend, and at times she dropped quite a bit of the breathiness. That would make it a choice rather than an affectation, would it not?

    First time for everything 😔. A 👎🏻 for a Linor reaction. Very dry and technical without understanding the Artist not wanting to fit in the ‘trained as expected’ box here. Have fun with her, understand her - even in more deep / graphic songs, look at her body of work so far (inc MVs) right through to her non-conformist attire for an 18 y/o huge global pop star (feminine and youthful with her clothes ON and not sexualised, but successful. She’s different and I thought that’s where you excelled in acceptance. Where is the open-minded Linor looking to learn from others, have fun in reactions acknowledging your skills & not looking to judge your reaction simply on your socialised norms vs thoroughly enjoyable talents beyond your own in DIFFERENT ways ?? ... I had to cut you off half way so maybe you brought it back but I watch you for pleasure - even when I don’t always agree, and this wasn’t fun based on my thoughts above. I like your clothes switch ! Annoyed with myself for not watching all 12 mins but if you continued that way, maybe for the best. 🥺

    So when men sing in a high pitch voice it's because society undervalues the ability of low pitch voices to communicate emotion? No need to force a feminist lens on to small stuff like this

    Not into the froggy voice sound at ALL. Sounds like someone just waking up and mumble singing to their lover...lol Thanks for the honest review xoxo Love you two and your refreshing fairness!

    Literally every single time you guys talk it’s an insult....it’s so annoying lol. If neither of you sing like this or better stop talking

    Billie is a generic singer. Most of her songs are whispering

      The fact that you think this edge lord of a singer is above average. Shows your lack of knowledge when it comes to music. Imagine being this dense, that you need someone to whisper sing to you.

      Sorry but she's much more than a generic singer lol! Her songs are a form of art that display emotion and visual imagery. Let's see how good you "whisper" and get nominated for 6 Grammys!
