  • Approach and landing on runway 03 of Lisbon Portela airport in Portugal. (LIS / LPPT).
Before landing, we fly along the Atlantic coast beaches, over the Tagus river and the beautiful 25 April Bridge, which looks very similar to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (USA). Airbus A319 cockpit window view. With ATC (air traffic control) audio and ATIS (automatic terminal information system) audio. Produced in 4k.

Looks like the departing traffic behind you is being cleared for immediate takeoff at a point where you haven't actually vacated the runway. Is that normal?

This is a procedure which is used at several airports with lots of traffic. ATC is allowed to clear an airplane for takeoff when the landing traffic has passed a certain point and is still moving.

"Tejo" is "Tagus" in English or "Tajo" in Spanish. The Thames river in London for instance is known in Portuguese as "Tamisa", hence they're both correct

Sorry but it's not tagos river, it's tejo river

Thanks for the feedback. According to the available maps, the portugese name is RIO TEJO. The english name is TAGUS RIVER. If available, I usually use the english names of rivers, cities, beaches and other landmarks in my videos.

In "English" is River Tagus; in "American English" is Tagus River.
Only the Brits can explain why...😄
