    Spinach is very high in oxalates. I would suggest dandelion greens, which have more nutrition than spinach or kale, and is cheaper (or free :)), you can find dandelion greens in Asian supermarkets or in a pasture near you. :)

    Looks refreshing...I need to try. Do you just blend the spinach leaves or include the stem too?

      We used baby spinach in this episode, and left the stems on. You can blend full size spinach stems as well.

    Hi John, can we use the Barley Grass Juice Powder Daily Green Boost? Thanks in advance ❤

    • @okraw
      @okraw  วันที่ผ่านมา

      I believe some brands of green powders are great to add to smoothies and recipes. The daily green boost is a good brand, but I prefer one like Vitamineral Green that has a wider diversity of greens as well as other foods.

    Why soak the chia instead of grinding ahead of time?

    • @okraw
      @okraw  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Soaking starts the sprouting process, which can make them a living food, and some would argue even healthier, also they will be full of water and will provide a different texture to the smoothie than if you used dried seed powder

    Kaelash’s recipe 2 says - “Sesame MYLK - soak sesame seeds for six hours in the fridge, rinse, and drain another six hours. Rinse once more.” ***What does “drain another six hours” mean?

    • @okraw
      @okraw  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Drain refers to after rinsing them to drain the seeds. If they use a bag they would hang it. If they use a jar, they would put the jar upside down or better, at a 45 degree angle. Drain covers those two and other methods like using a strainer for example.
      It could be clarified future versions of the book.
