    I love it. I discovered in the SRS/ XCamera keyboard assignments, Toggle XCamera On/OFF (Shift+C). Of which I can with XCamera off, if I hit a keyboard assignment you explained in your 1st video, example the 8 key (Look Left), it will look left and with that will also toggle XCamera on.

    Mark - Do you see any problem using my hat switch on my yoke for some of the side views. Of course I would disable upper right, lower right, right down, left up, left down. Otherwise I just want Look Left, Look Right. Pushing the Hat switch up I could use that as Pilot View, Push down would be a Wing Man. Basically, that's what the Hat Switch does is for views around the cockpit of the plane.

    • @stickandrudderstudios3217
      @stickandrudderstudios3217  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the hat switch just like any other button on the yoke so feel free to map it to any of your X-Camera views. You might want to take a look at the momentary_view_select_id commands for this where the view will snap back to the original view when you release the hat switch back to the center.

    OK Mark after a brief away from rig, If you ever used Plane Commander. a voice activator by use virtue of using my voice to give the plane a command of - flaps down 5%, flaps down all the way, gear up, gear down. There are many commands that the developer has installed in this plugin. It's actually pretty good so I don't have to reach or find the keys/ controls. He even has Look Left, Look Right, ect. I feel it would interfere with X-Camera. I have disabled Plane Commander for a while to configure my microphone settings better. Any thoughts on the two running together for duplicating the same views? I hope you don't get tired of my questions.

    • @stickandrudderstudios3217
      @stickandrudderstudios3217  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't own plan commander but I would think it has the ability to map speech recognition to any X-Plane / plugin command. I would think it should work fine with X-Camera with a bit of configuring work.

    • @stickandrudderstudios3217
      @stickandrudderstudios3217  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The built-in X-Plane camera system is pretty good but there are somethings it does not handle all that well. As an example turning on/off scroll wheel zooming on a view by view basis. Also handling a similar need for special effects like G-Forces. You might only want those on for certain views.
      Those are just a few examples.

    Hey Mark. Love your tutorials and X-Camera. Still have not set everything up and all the options. But your tutorials are easy enough to follow. Question for ya. Some of Carenado aircraft have their own view buttons as pilot view co-piolt view wing views, ect as you can set up in X-Camera as well. I can ignore the Carenado options and use the X-Camera controls instead. Which would you do?

    • @stickandrudderstudios3217
      @stickandrudderstudios3217  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure how Carenado implements those custom views. I have generally always used X-Camera views as I know how to consistently select and navigate them across any aircraft I fly.

    Hello Mark ..... Thank you so much for your great X-Cameras-Tutorials! All are very interesting and helpful! You took a big effort to explain nearly all the features of this fantastic X-Plane 11 Plugin. Thumb UP!
    One question: is it possible to make a smooth transition between a cockpit-view and any external view?

    • @stickandrudderstudios3217
      @stickandrudderstudios3217  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Transitions need to be between cameras in the same category so that is one restriction. Also the transitions don't work well between true external camera and internal cameras. What you can try is just using an internal camera and move it to outside the plane. That transition will work fine but be aware that the exterior sounds might not be right depending on how the aircraft designer is handling the camera position and some planes will not render the fuselage properly if viewed from an interior camera places outside the plane.

    I still haven't managed to figure this out, but is it possible to move around the cockpit or cabin freely while using x-camera? I haven't been able to find a setting that allows one to move around freely. Anyone have any advice?

    • @stickandrudderstudios3217
      @stickandrudderstudios3217  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you mean by move around? Look around you would use a right mouse click and drag to rotate and pitch the camera. To move the camera us the arrow keys and the period and comma keys.

      @stickandrudderstudios3217  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you do a save all before switching the planes after editing? Also, are you saying the view ID's changed or the command mappings changed in X-Plane. If the camera view ID's all staying the same but the mappings don't work it might be that they got saved to a different X-Plane profile. Remember in X-Plane each aircraft can get assigned to different profiles. One of the things these profiles maintain is the mapping of keys / buttons to commands.
