I had never heard of Japan before, but I'm glad that I now know how to pronounce all these things from this new, foreign land of which I had before never heard.
Undoubtedly the greatest song ever made. I don’t know why, but all the negative emotions just go away when I listen to it, probably because it’s so cathartic. R.I.P Shinji Sato, thank you for this masterpiece
i always found the live version of long season to hit much harder than the original studio version, like it literally sends shivers through my body every time i listen to it
thank you for making this haha. I'd definitely think that long season is the best song ever written so it's cool to see someone else make a video about it! The fact that they were able to play it live even better than the studio version still blows my mind. (And yes, that guitar solo is peak music)
The magic of that Long Season live version is that, it's not gonna be the same as the record version or any other live versions. Never been so much awe at music until Fishmans. I always shed a tear at that last part. You know what I mean when that part hits you right at the spot. Shinji lives on this album, every genius of him and the band
This live album is one of my fav albums of all time and my fav live album LONG SEASON (Live) and Echoes, Shine On You Crazy Diamond pts, 1-5 are my 3 fav songs of all time
Great video about fishmans, I wish more people talked about them, they've gotten a big boost in popularity like you said but are still very unknown at least to the western world.
Otokotachi no Wakare, that album is reserved for special moments in my personal life; when I'm working alone, grinding without doubts, full of hope even with the unknown future. That famous line in Long Season too "Bokura hanbun yume no naka" which I believe translates to We are always half dreaming. Cheers mate for every man who loves fishmans are flawed good human beings
i listened to this album yesterday for the first time. i've only listened to the live version of long season once. i think it's my favorite song of all time too. it was transcendental i was crying for a long time after it ended
thanks dude! yeah it is so good. like when i made this video it was on repeat for like ~1 month and it's still been on repeat for me. there's so much to enjoy idk if i could get tired of it
such a beautiful representation of my favorite track/album/live album. So sad what could have become out of Fishmans, the band was finding it's own sound, fishing ever bigger and tasty fishes. But i'm so glad i found them, i don't even remember how. Maybe the real art is beneath, and your life has to carve a way to it
Let me know any suggestions to improve the quality of my videos! Sorry for the long wait I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff this past month, not having a new pc, being sick twice, getting back to college and finally finding motivation and drive but I'm back and I've got more videos on the way!
Great video, personal, entertaining and the cherry on top is the live version of “Long Season” is my favorite too. I get goosebumps and drop tears every time I watch and listen.
Fantastic video my man. 👍👍 Your story about Long Season reminded me of my experience listening to Twin Fantasy (2018) while driving my brother home from Chicago at 2am. Music can really take you to another plane of existence sometimes.
You know a video is good when it has Pokemon music in it. Orange is also a very good album. Btw the drummer of Fishmans is the same drummer of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. There is a tribute concert of him performing Fishman songs with various Japanese artists
amazing video man. i only just listened to the album last week. and it's been on repeat since. i adore it. the way you first listened to the album was very well told and very relatable. u earned a new sub bro. shame i couldn't be the 1000th hahaha

Sounds like you need to take some psychedelics and sit with the studio version :) I love the live version but prefer the studio one for it's psychedelic qualities.
studio version is much better. live version is overdone and adds a bad forced guitar solo at the end of part one that ruins the entire flow. the solo in the studio version is ultimately what brings the whole song together, completely botched in the live version.

I got it stuck in my head at work one day, never has a song in my head been so disruptive. A unique tune, I’ve played it for many

this is super well made, long season is a masterpiece, fishmans final show is one of the greatest live shows ever preformed

respect, great video and great band. fishmans will always be #1 in my heart and I swear to God they get nowhere near the attention they deserve
yea, sucks that cult classic acts like this usually struggle to get massive attention of any kind.
thanks for the comment!
Thank for making this video .

Long Season (studio ver.) Is one of the best albums of all time, I give it maybe a 96-97/100.
And somehow the live version is 10x better.

It seems that i'm the only person here that likes the Studio version more than the Live version, both are perfect though.
both are good! that one just does it a little different
@@adankpancake Yeah I understand why someone would like the 'Live' version more, it's more "epic"
did you just use Ace Attorney ost?! also is that Monogatari ost right after?
yes! love the ace attorney series soo much. i've only finished the 1st season from the monogatari series
