I had an SXT for 2 yrs before buying my scat pack…. It’s a fun car, ppp don’t know how fast this beauty is . I wish it was louder coming from the factory…

@@rustyshaklferd1897 not quicker at all. 0-60 in 7.3 seconds whilst the sxt has 0-60 in 5.3. Far slower & debatably more reliable depending on the year.
The idol sounds good, but the raspy sound when u hit the gas is a thumbs down. Should've just removed the rear mufflers and kept the mid mufflers installed.
I'm thinking I may get on of these in the next few years, or an RT. Truth be told the V6 appeals to me more because I like the idea of throwing some FBO mods on it to give it more power rather than just buying an RT. And as this video proved, it sounds nice with the right exhaust.
For me its just about aesthetics. I used to have a Scat Pack Charger but when I got a challenger I got the V6. I have no need to race or go fast anymore, too many tickets and clsoe calls. My V6 straight piped sounds insane and looks amazing
No disrespect to the v6 I would get an Rt. You can just as easy if not easier fbo an Rt and are going to see bigger gains and it’s a v8. Nothing beats the sound of a hemi.
If you get a muscle car you sorta need it to sound like a muscle car. There are plenty of 6 cylinder cars that are more reliable, more fuel efficient, sound better, and have more creature comforts, most make more power. Camry, maxima, eco boost fords, Cadillacs, etc. the point of the charger/challenger is to be a big muscle car, take the muscle out and it’s a overweight plasticy pointless thing. It’s like if Ferrari made an inline 4 cylinder 250hp version of the 296, it’s a Pontiac fiero.

Having mds as well helps out someone who is trying to cut costs on fuel. But I always have mds disabled and get about 19-21 mpg which isn’t bad. You are going to enjoy the v8 a lot more.
@@darrend1068 A lot of people get the V6 for AWD. When I had my scat charger I could not drive it from late November to early march. The RWD in more than a inch of snow is useless on those cars.
gota 2020 sxt challenger, jus deleted my mid mufflers ngl a lil disappointed. no real sound difference. was thinkn of doin the resonators next but dnt want it to be to loud. any thoughts/suggestions??
I got a resonator delete only and it sounds almost the same as this The resonators muffles the sound quite a lot I suggest just getting your resonators removed and that’ll make it work

Sounds ricey. Not all 6 cylinders sound bad, a 1987 Buick grand national with 2.5 or 3” dual exhaust from a 3”downpipe sounds throaty and whistles like an f-15, but the pentastar sounds ok from the factory but like a rice maker with aftermarket exhausts.
If you do a Muffler delete then you should burn in hell... A Muscle Car needs a Muffler for back pressure. Just remove the Cats and Resonator then get you some Long Tube Headers.

It can keep you from having to replace your pistons and rods because they got beat to hell. I have a 2010 Challenger. I have long tube headers. No cats. X-pipe, 2 44 series flowmaster mufflers.
Sometimes a V8 isn't the answer, dude. If someone wanted a Challenger but saw no desire in the additional horsepower (like, if they didn't want to race the car) then it wouldn't make any sense to shell out the extra cash for something you wouldn't want, dude. o:

Add that onto the way better fuel economy, a v8 isnt worth it right now. Why do you care so much what other people drive? It's actually fascinating how much people care about what other people like.

a rear muffler delete. Replaced the mid mufflers with flowmasters.

I deleted the resonator. That sounds so much louder but you also probably get serious drone inside the cabin.
