I greatly enjoyed this. I've always like the timed pause "parts" windows and showing both glitched and non-glitched builds was great. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it! I had a few people on my last video mention that they did not like the glitching, so I figured this time I would show both ways of assembling the ship.
It has some interesting possibilities. While practicing, I made a mini ship. I was able to stack a bunch if cargo holds together into one spot. You definitely can go overboard with it.
I like to use Nova or Deimos bracers to make a sort of scaffolding for the 2x2 cube pieces, to merge the C class grav-drive into the reactor. It also helps merging braking thrusters over things
I watched all the content creators, your build guides/tutorials are still the most enjoyable, IMHO. I like this one a lot! Have to wonder what it might be like with the Nova cockpit that has stairs and a 2nd floor added to the build with the same wings so to speak to the left and right. Guess I'll find out. Hope you consider it for a video.
Thank you, Amelia! Hmmm... So basically a combination of my Archangel and my Vengeance builds.. The Angel of Vengeance! lol... you may be onto something. I'll add it to my idea bucket.
It does have the new school cylon raider look to it. I actually tried making one of the old raiders (the disk shaped ones) previously, but Starfield does not do round shapes very well. The result was my "Raider" build. I did post a build guide for it. Check it out .
@@johnkleczewski5671 Nice! I actually like the Archangel over the the Vengeance MK3 for one reason, landing on planets. Starfield has a weird issue where if you land on a planet, you spawn UNDER the ship. With the Vengeance being so low, you end up getting trapped under the ship. I want to figure out how to avoid that, but the only way to do it and keep it ladderless is use mods (use the stairs habs from Matilija). Its one ship that I kind of want to keep mod-less.
@@TeamScorpioRI I opted to replace all the habs with the standard furnished units except for the Captains Quarters. I will furnish them one at a time, otherwise It's too daunting... :)
@@johnkleczewski5671 that works with this ship for sure. I just love customizing my own habs. It is a little daunting at first (and I think we need better search/filters on the decoration screen), but I find it fun.
You can build up a side scafold to attach the piece you are copying/merging to. Makes lining it up easier and it will atrach correctly when you copy it down 🙂
They put that in the last update. Not only do they give us the ability to create our own habs, but they also offer unique pathing through the ship. They will create doors at every attachment point to other habs.
Very cool! In the webcomic Schlock Mercenary, they have ships called Battleplates because they are big and flat… I might have to recreate that look for a ship…
Not familiar with that comic so I had to google them. They definitely look doable in Starfield. Big, giant triangles with those 3 points (those could be the grav drive, reactor, and fuel tank).
I was keen to try this, but my ship builder can't do Habs. Whenever I try to attach a hab, the list has about six habs, then reactors. Scroll or mouse down and the reactors disappear, but still only a few habs, and no 2x3 of any kind.
any of the bigger habs (2x2, 2x3, 3x3) need to be purchased from the actual vendors (Stroud, Deimos, Hopetech). You need to go to those specific spots to get them. Alternatively, you could connect 3 separate 2x1 habs together to get the same shape. Interior would be different, but it would work.
Quick question that you may have covered in vodeos I haven't seen. It’s completely preference, but how many NG+ have you done at this point? Losing ships is hard. Contemplating on rushing some playthroughs for Shattered Space. Any thoughts on how you would proceed in a RP environment- MJ
I'm on NG4 right now. My playthroughs have stalled since I started the ship building. Loosing everything on each playthrough is rough, for sure. It's not too hard ro work back up though.
I love all your builds but I wish people would use something other than particle weapons. I know they are the dps kings but it is kind of boring. Jump in, lock target, hold down three triggers enemy vaporized. Even on the new extreme difficulty it doesn't take much skill.
You can always swap these out for the weapons of your choice. Reza 300 PHz SX Pulse Laser in W0 to rip shields, then Vanguard Hellfire Autocannon on W1 to do hull damage. I would still keep the Turrets on the W2 spot, or you can use Atlatl 280C Missile Launchers there (I don't like missiles in this game. I think they made them too slow and too easy to evade).
I am on NG+ 14, and I can tell you my ass is getting kicked quite often. Even with these lovely weapons. Your enemies become a lot stronger when you are so far in the game, and playing on extreme difficulty.

Again I have learned something new. And I thought I knew all the tricks. The second glitch is amazing.

@@Val-Shepard That is a great idea, and beats eyeballing it like I did (I kind of made that harder on myself.. lol)

This one looks great, Scorpio I like it
Thanks Matt!
Love the design!
Thank you! 😊
@@TeamScorpioRI also awesome presentation!
Another beauty!
Thank you! This has been my main ship since I built it.
@@TeamScorpioRI I went back and rebuilt the Vengeance MK3 to have in my inventory, but I have been using this for a few days and love it!

Good idea. I didn't even think of using a "guide piece" to line it up!
