Ask yourselves, what beliefs and doctrines did the Apostles and disciples carry out after Christ died and was resurrected? There is a Church that knows exactly what they did in their actions because she still does them today. This is the Catholic Church, the Body of Christ, a sign to be contradicted through all ages. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful hymn to give glory to God.

It is more proper to say that because of Catholics, Protestants were given the simple and basic doctrines of the Blessed Trinity, Sacrament of Baptism and Marriage. It is a popular thing to be protestant among christans and unpopular to be Catholic. This is the last song I played for my mom before she went to heaven. She died the week of Easter in April 2022. I played it in her funeral. It brings tears of loss and hope. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice to give us eternal life.
This was played at my stepdads funeral back in 2012. As well as What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, which still makes me cry every time. I graduated high school a week ago and we sang What a Wonderful World, and I didn’t tell my mom so that she could be surprised. When we sang that song, it felt like he was there in some way. It also felt like everything was finally going to be okay. I went to a Christian school and I know that my stepdad would’ve been so proud of me.
I've gone too long without realizing my faith. I've lied to others, lied to myself, stolen, I've had bad bad thoughts, I say bad things.... I took having true Christian grandparents for granted and ignored the things they stood for. For the first time tonight I'm going to open my bible and figure out where my life is going. For a long time I was against religion, mostly Christianity. But even though I claimed I was against it, I secretly held something I can only refer to as reverence. It was a sort of subconscious admiration that I hid inside because I thought it clashed with my 'true' feelings. But after going through a 3-4 day spiritual crisis and discarding my mask of opposition I chose to embrace that which I felt was a part of me all along, and that is Jesus Christ. I accepted him as my Lord and Savior and as God my King and Creator and the amount of relief and sheer satisfaction I felt since then has been indescribable. Through the power of the Lord all can be accomplished. Owl City is the living embodiment of God's angels on Earth.
My grandmother passed away over last weekend. She was 87 years old but she loved this song so much even when the church sang it! For the longest time I doubted that there was a God. A few days before she passed away in the hospital I spoke with my aunt after her funeral service yesterday and she said that my grandmother knew for a FACT that she was going to heaven if she were to pass away from surgery complications. Before she even went into the hospital she told me "James, God is real and he performs miracles every day even when you don't realize it, it's a miracle that I've been alive to see you from when you were born up until you became an adult" After she passed away I felt this since of comfort knowing she's in heaven watching over me right now. I'm now a born again christian. This song always makes me think of her even more now, this was one of her favorite songs out there. It also makes me think of her because I know that I'll be in heaven one day and so will my family members. God IS real for sure and he watches over us every single day.

Mom was forced out of the house and to another state, still in mourning for her love. Why did God need HIM too now? He was too young, wise and full of ideas. His brother is breathing but not alive right now. I loved this man since we were children. He has been so hurt in so many ways and trust has been so damaged that my faithful and loyal heart has broken too much for his pain. God please give us both more strength to survive. Christina Grimmie was much inspired by this song, especially this version by Owl City. She always believed in Christ and her faith was an unmovable mountain! It's so sad that she lost her life after being shot at her own concert but now she is standing firm with Christ!
I remember two years ago listening to this and crying. I begged God to take me every night. as of right now I'm working things out with myself and mentally God helps me feel like I can make it. for anyone who is struggling, you're gonna make it. I know words don't mean much to some people but trust me it's worth it and it's gonna get easier to deal with.

I can't put into words how happy I am to see a successful secular artist display his Faith openly without regard for how it may affect his sales. I pray that God blesses Adam and uses his music to touch the lives of people that may not have heard about Christ otherwise.

I just came back from a funeral and this was one of the hymns we sang. He was twenty eight years old, had a wife and a family, including two younger sisters and he took his own life. If anyone reading this is suffering from depression and contemplating harming themselves or taking their own life. Please get help and don't let those dark thoughts take over.
I wouldn't really call myself a child of God... but lately I've been miserable with life. I was on my phone trying to look up songs that are not Christian like three days grace, Hollywood undead, etc.. and i saw this song on my "recommended suggestions" i didn't want to click on it knowing the song will be talking about God, but i did out of curiosity because i heard of this "peace" most of my Christian relatives were telling me about. And i must say, it did gave me peace rather than sadness. I spent like 10 minutes crying, but they were happy tears, rather than sad tears... so thank you for brightening up my day who ever posted the song or made it.. :-)
I was going through a miserable time in life and just cried out to God one day saying "God please come into my life and transform me, I want to be happy, I accept Jesus as my lord and savior, please forgive me of my sins, please come into my heart and fill me with the Holy Spirit" from that moment on, I can't describe to you the overwhelming feeling peace I've felt in my life. I didn't think it was possible to feel this good. I started praying more and talking to God like a normal person and listening to some Amazing songs like this. And a couple days later while was praying one night, I felt the power of the Holy Spirit inside me. It was like an instense warmth that flowed throughout my whole body. And that was the moment of reassurance I needed. "Draw near to God and he will draw near to you" "seek and you shall find" it's one thing for many to say they believe in God and another to experience his presence and love. Just thought I'd share my experience with you :)

Good Prayer, Flex. I only lovingly ask you to consider that Jesus says numerous times that he came for his "bride" (the church). He tells us to love Him BY loving one another. It's very admirable to worship him when you are alone. But it was VERY clear in scripture that He desired us to be together loving and serving one another on a regular basis. I only say this to ask you to consider deepening your faith by finding other believers to fellowship with since it is SUCH a huge part of God's design for us. I have had the thought, "I love Jesus but not the church" many times...but then it occurred to me that it's like someone saying, "I like you but not your wife." Flex M I can definitely relate to not wanting to attend church, but I gently encourage you to consider doing so. Not like I’ve been very good at going lately, lol. But, church is an extremely important part of the Christian walk. The act of going, and the building itself, are not the point. The point is meeting with fellow believers in Christ. That is the church. We are the church.
The fact that you want Him is proof that He hasn't given up in you. The desire for God comes from God Himself. I went through the same thing, my friend. Read James 1:2 It says that we are BLESSED when we go through trials. Jesus loves you and longs to lavish all love on you. Don't give up. I wanted to as well, but God led me to James 1:2 and His Son gives me all the hope I could ever have. Satan will try to deceive you and tell you God doesn't want you, but that's a lie. He loves you so much, and He knows you desire Him. No matter how hard it is, look to Jesus in faith. Life may have trials but the day He calls us home will be the day every tear is wiped away. Pray to Him and grow closer to Jesus. He will NEVER reject those who want His forgiveness. That's a promise.

ZosiaSamosiaOo Use the law in the word as a mirror for them to see the error of their ways. W e are not supposed to judge but we are to share the love and word of God with them. The key part of this is telling them the Good News of our redemption of sin through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is what will work in their lives and lead them to Christ. But we have to do our part as we are commanded through the Great Commission.
Andrew N. If I came at them with these exact words I'd be left to be my own friend forevermore, lol... I like to speak in non-Bible-ish words and throw in the idea of God and relief that comes from believing as well as the picture of two sides of eternity whenever there's an opportunity for it, but I know that taking it slightly too far just once could ruin any chances of success in the future. It's usually the people who represent religion and Church (religious freaks, people who live double lives of a devoted Christian and a criminal / deviant / abuser etc., corrupt, pedophile and baby making priests who are a plague in my country) that make the doubting and the looking decide to turn away from God in the first place. I want them to know we can be just like them, laid back and down to earth, still enjoy life despite the limitations and just let them know in between the lines that they might wanna reconsider the idea of God. Let's just not shove it down their throats or else our case is lost for good.

I myself am a Christian and a fan of Owl City. I like both his secular and christian songs. I feel how hard it must be for artists that do both christian and secular music, for they usualy gain more popularity on secular music they produce and some hate on christian music that they produce, for they have initially attracted non-christians and maybe even atheists. Sadly some artists have stopped making christian music in order to gain a much larger audience. i.e Katy Perry, for they become more intrested what the world thinks and wants. we now live in a world in which we crave to please man instead of GOD. Many of us are fooled to think that being christian is boring, but it is the best thing anyone can be, for we become citizens of heaven! :) I don't want to pressure anyone, but this is how I feel!

Dont you think God understands the fact that young people have doubts? God is complex.....and He wants us to get to know Him...to see through the complexity. So how do we do that?....by doubting, asking questions, investigate, study, doubting, asking questions, etc. And during this proces of spiritual growth, God is smiling and will not leave your side. Gods ultimate goal is for you to overcome your doubt and to come to a well-considered choice for Him. Be blessed in the process.....you are on the right path!
Its good to see that so many people here are Christian and that you support Adam, I support him too! I was looking for music to perk me up. I go to school every weekday. And every day there are kids, teachers, and events that lead me away from God. School is anti-God and I try to defend him, but there are too many people to fight (argue) against. I come home, and listen to this song. This song is sent right down from heaven, and into his mouth. Already commented here but I just want to say. I know that God is real. When I was getting into bad stuff, that is, looking at inappropriate things, I asked God to help me change my ways. And I have gotten better. I asked him to take away my worries, and I find myself more calm. Through him I was able to forgive someone who hurt me bad. and I'm a lot happier because I am not mad. Jesus's words on loving one another have even inspired me in one of my art pieces. He helped me when I needed help. I have also been finding myself having a sense of peace, that everything is good. And it is all thanks to God, and the Lord Jesus. To you I give my thanks. to God for loving us, and to Jesus for dying for our sins. God bless us everyone!
I have gone through something similar. But then I went to confession and I am much more calm and less ashamed because I know God has mercy on all of us. I still want to go back in time and change what I did.
+Rebecca Johnson I can say we have very similar stories. You're more ahead than I am. I still have someone (meaning my ex) that I need to forgive. It's hard having four classes with her and not being able to say anything which makes it harder for me to forgive her. i am a Christian, i have a friend who is an Atheist and a Muslim. i don't hate them, i don't judge them, i don't criticize them. i love them, its so sad seeing a bunch of Christians today would judge an Atheist just because he doesnt believe in God. "we see Christians but no Christ". We all have our own beliefs and understandings, some Christians would forget that no one has the right to judge us except God?, aren't we thought "to love your neighbor as you love yourself?".
I agree with you up to a point. We are to love them, and that is true, but not telling them about the salvation from eternal damnation that only Jesus can provide them, is not love. I akin this to "not judging" our friends for not taking an antidote for a disease that all of humanity got infected with. And please, do not think I am saying that we are to push them away by trying to "force them to Christ," for what I mean is that we are to not keep silent to them about Jesus or to God about how we want to see them be saved. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say...

If the judge let him go would he be a good judge or a bad? He'd be a bad. So we all sin and God cant let us go free, (No matter how much good we did) hits the death and hell.
BrokenHeartedDreamer I have friends of who follow different beliefs, but I let them know that I'm a christan. We shouldn't be shouting at them telling them there going to burn in Hell. We need to soften the message towards them. Ask them why they believe in what they believe. My friend who's an atheist, said when he talked to Christians they would a mentality it was there way or the highway. Which drove him farther away from God. When talk to people of different beliefs, we need to have a mentality that they wont get saved right then and there. Its about building on it day by day. Maybe you wont be the person who leads them to Christ, but because of the foundation you built, someone else will be able to.

This was played at my stepdads funeral back in 2012. As well as What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, which still makes me cry every time. I graduated high school a week ago and we sang What a Wonderful World, and I didn’t tell my mom so that she could be surprised. When we sang that song, it felt like he was there in some way. It also felt like everything was finally going to be okay. I went to a Christian school and I know that my stepdad would’ve been so proud of me.

For a long time I was against religion, mostly Christianity. But even though I claimed I was against it, I secretly held something I can only refer to as reverence. It was a sort of subconscious admiration that I hid inside because I thought it clashed with my 'true' feelings. But after going through a 3-4 day spiritual crisis and discarding my mask of opposition I chose to embrace that which I felt was a part of me all along, and that is Jesus Christ. I accepted him as my Lord and Savior and as God my King and Creator and the amount of relief and sheer satisfaction I felt since then has been indescribable. Through the power of the Lord all can be accomplished. Owl City is the living embodiment of God's angels on Earth.

My grandmother passed away over last weekend. She was 87 years old but she loved this song so much even when the church sang it! For the longest time I doubted that there was a God. A few days before she passed away in the hospital I spoke with my aunt after her funeral service yesterday and she said that my grandmother knew for a FACT that she was going to heaven if she were to pass away from surgery complications. Before she even went into the hospital she told me "James, God is real and he performs miracles every day even when you don't realize it, it's a miracle that I've been alive to see you from when you were born up until you became an adult" After she passed away I felt this since of comfort knowing she's in heaven watching over me right now. I'm now a born again christian. This song always makes me think of her even more now, this was one of her favorite songs out there. It also makes me think of her because I know that I'll be in heaven one day and so will my family members. God IS real for sure and he watches over us every single day.

I just came back from a funeral and this was one of the hymns we sang. He was twenty eight years old, had a wife and a family, including two younger sisters and he took his own life. I was on my phone trying to look up songs that are not Christian like three days grace, Hollywood undead, etc.. and i saw this song on my "recommended suggestions" i didn't want to click on it knowing the song will be talking about God, but i did out of curiosity because i heard of this "peace" most of my Christian relatives were telling me about. And i must say, it did gave me peace rather than sadness. I was going through a miserable time in life and just cried out to God one day saying "God please come into my life and transform me, I want to be happy, I accept Jesus as my lord and savior, please forgive me of my sins, please come into my heart and fill me with the Holy Spirit" from that moment on, I can't describe to you the overwhelming feeling peace I've felt in my life. I didn't think it was possible to feel this good. I started praying more and talking to God like a normal person and listening to some Amazing songs like this. And a couple days later while was praying one night, I felt the power of the Holy Spirit inside me. It was like an instense warmth that flowed throughout my whole body. And that was the moment of reassurance I needed. "Draw near to God and he will draw near to you" "seek and you shall find" it's one thing for many to say they believe in God and another to experience his presence and love. Just thought I'd share my experience with you :)

Good Prayer, Flex. I only lovingly ask you to consider that Jesus says numerous times that he came for his "bride" (the church). He tells us to love Him BY loving one another. It's very admirable to worship him when you are alone. But it was VERY clear in scripture that He desired us to be together loving and serving one another on a regular basis. I only say this to ask you to consider deepening your faith by finding other believers to fellowship with since it is SUCH a huge part of God's design for us. I have had the thought, "I love Jesus but not the church" many times...but then it occurred to me that it's like someone saying, "I like you but not your wife." Read James 1:2 It says that we are BLESSED when we go through trials. Jesus loves you and longs to lavish all love on you. Don't give up. I wanted to as well, but God led me to James 1:2 and His Son gives me all the hope I could ever have. Satan will try to deceive you and tell you God doesn't want you, but that's a lie. He loves you so much, and He knows you desire Him. No matter how hard it is, look to Jesus in faith. Life may have trials but the day He calls us home will be the day every tear is wiped away. Pray to Him and grow closer to Jesus. He will NEVER reject those who want His forgiveness. That's a promise.

The key part of this is telling them the Good News of our redemption of sin through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is what will work in their lives and lead them to Christ. But we have to do our part as we are commanded through the Great Commission.
Andrew N. If I came at them with these exact words I'd be left to be my own friend forevermore, lol... I like to speak in non-Bible-ish words and throw in the idea of God and relief that comes from believing as well as the picture of two sides of eternity whenever there's an opportunity for it, but I know that taking it slightly too far just once could ruin any chances of success in the future. It's usually the people who represent religion and Church (religious freaks, people who live double lives of a devoted Christian and a criminal / deviant / abuser etc., corrupt, pedophile and baby making priests who are a plague in my country) that make the doubting and the looking decide to turn away from God in the first place. I want them to know we can be just like them, laid back and down to earth, still enjoy life despite the limitations and just let them know in between the lines that they might wanna reconsider the idea of God. Let's just not shove it down their throats or else our case is lost for good.

I myself am a Christian and a fan of Owl City. I like both his secular and christian songs. I feel how hard it must be for artists that do both christian and secular music, for they usualy gain more popularity on secular music they produce and some hate on christian music that they produce, for they have initially attracted non-christians and maybe even atheists. Sadly some artists have stopped making christian music in order to gain a much larger audience. i.e Katy Perry, for they become more intrested what the world thinks and wants. we now live in a world in which we crave to please man instead of GOD. Many of us are fooled to think that being christian is boring, but it is the best thing anyone can be, for we become citizens of heaven! :) I don't want to pressure anyone, but this is how I feel!

Already commented here but I just want to say. I know that God is real. When I was getting into bad stuff, that is, looking at inappropriate things, I asked God to help me change my ways. And I have gotten better. I asked him to take away my worries, and I find myself more calm. Through him I was able to forgive someone who hurt me bad. and I'm a lot happier because I am not mad. Jesus's words on loving one another have even inspired me in one of my art pieces. He helped me when I needed help. I have also been finding myself having a sense of peace, that everything is good. And it is all thanks to God, and the Lord Jesus. To you I give my thanks. to God for loving us, and to Jesus for dying for our sins. God bless us everyone!

+Rebecca Johnson I can say we have very similar stories. You're more ahead than I am. I still have someone (meaning my ex) that I need to forgive. It's hard having four classes with her and not being able to say anything which makes it harder for me to forgive her. This is the lowest I've ever been, but I can feel a light, one of release, in my near future. As for now, I just need to be strong and live in God's name. God bless you.

i am a Christian, i have a friend who is an Atheist and a Muslim. i don't hate them, i don't judge them, i don't criticize them. i love them, its so sad seeing a bunch of Christians today would judge an Atheist just because he doesnt believe in God. "we see Christians but no Christ". We all have our own beliefs and understandings, some Christians would forget that no one has the right to judge us except God?, aren't we thought "to love your neighbor as you love yourself?".
I agree with you up to a point. We are to love them, and that is true, but not telling them about the salvation from eternal damnation that only Jesus can provide them, is not love. I akin this to "not judging" our friends for not taking an antidote for a disease that all of humanity got infected with. And please, do not think I am saying that we are to push them away by trying to "force them to Christ," for what I mean is that we are to not keep silent to them about Jesus or to God about how we want to see them be saved. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say...

We need to soften the message towards them. Ask them why they believe in what they believe. My friend who's an atheist, said when he talked to Christians they would a mentality it was there way or the highway. Which drove him farther away from God. When talk to people of different beliefs, we need to have a mentality that they wont get saved right then and there. Its about building on it day by day. Maybe you wont be the person who leads them to Christ, but because of the foundation you built, someone else will be able to.

When my sister passed away from stage 4 Cancer when I had the morning when I got ready played this song on
Had no tears 😭 singing this at home
Then when the funeral came they sang this song
My church did I raised my hand up 🙋♂️ looked around my sister was loved 🥰 by many

That was mom’s biological daughter and my only biological sister
Thought she had unbearable pain
