I am an Atheist. But I enjoy every song Adam creates. Every song is cleverly written and sounds amazing. That's what makes me fall in love with this music. Its bright sound, its clever writing, its effect on me. Regardless if it's "Christian" or aimed at another certain audience. If it sounds good, then that's all that matters to me. It's music. Music can mean anything to anybody. If you're an Atheist or another religion, and are uncomfortable with this song. Don't take it as a Christian song. Galaxies was a great song. It was also about God and Christianity, but I enjoyed every bit of it as any other song. Adam is a brilliant writer, and you guys should all respect his views as well as someone else's.

Adam is something special. I myself am an atheist, but I even find his songs about God catchy and so beautiful. This isn't the only song he's sung about god, because he's Christian. This is who he is and he's no where ashamed to show it. He's not worried that writing a song about God and how he saved him will ruin his career, because that's part of his career. And that's why Adam is special. Again, as an atheist, I honestly hate songs about Jesus and God, because of my views on things, but I still take the time to notice how much effort and beauty Adam puts into his songs,

I'm listening to this after hearing over the phone from my mom that a dog we rescued a month ago just died last night from a heart attack. I didn't even get to meet him after he was rescued because I'm away at college, and now I didn't even get to say goodbye. I didn't know he was going to die, but more than anything, I didn't want him to die alone. I didn't see him in my dreams last night, (I usually dream about my dogs after they pass) but I woke up at 3am with a feeling that something bad had happened... and my mom texted me an hour ago to tell me the news. We went through hell to save him, and had to jump through hoops for years to be able to gain ownership rights to him. But I guess in the end, he couldn't stay - and the worst part is, I dont know WHY this had to happen! I hope he's happy and not alone anymore, even up there in doggie paradise. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry all night, and hopefully I'll see him in my dreams.

Growing up and living with ADHD has always been a struggle for me. Despite having a difficult time paying attention, I was always worried about what my friends would think of me once they found out who I really was: a girl desparate to have friends by being someone else. Also, it just felt like no one actually cared about me; I felt invisible and unwanted. I was filled with doubt, feelings of loneliness, thoughts of being unwanted, and voices in my head telling me that I don't deserve friends in my life at all.
But when I listened to this song, it was like God was telling me that the friends I made love me for who I am no matter what. It also showed me that even though we're different, friends ARE family. I encourage you to be who you are and help make encouragement contagious by sharing positive songs and quotes with your friends and those who seem like they're having a bad day. Also, check out the playlists I created! (I know it seems like I created two of each. To be honest, I have two accounts that caused this kind of thing. The first one was just for fun, but the second one was to edit the first one. Sorry about that! 😓)

Why is it when someone posts or writes a song about everything negative and about how God isn't real, everyone is fine with it? I listen to plenty of artists that don't agree with Christianity and bash on judgmental Christian people but some of you guys have to realize not all Christians are basic, close minded, judgmental idiots. People like Adam for example, he's a warm hearted guy writing a song about what he believes in.. He's not bashing on what any of you believe in so why feel the need to comment your hatred and disagreement for Christianity? Let the dude write about what he wants to write about... If you don't like it, go listen to something else.

We shouldn't have that in an Owl City video. Nor all of the atheist "I don't like it, hard to take seriously, shouldn't be doing religious stuff, blah" comments. I don't like seeing these as top comments as well. You know how the saying goes: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
I understand if you're atheist, but why do you need to bother to post hate in a song that you don't care about? We all need to respect each other, regardless of religion. Both God and Adam would want that. Respect. Not a comment war.

It's not hating, we're just saying we'd rather Adam releases songs that don't alienate a large population of his fans. We love his music, but don't appreciate the ones about a god.
samcooke343 but maybe he does, maybe he wants to prove to himself he is who he is and doesn't have to change, he was always Christian when he was writing his other songs- he just never showed it, and i know you cant relate, but you have to admit, it gives you hope :)
samcooke343 That's why he releases a variety of music :) He doesn't just make strictly Christian or strictly secular music.. he does both so that fans of either can be pleased. And if you don't like either of those, he even makes instrumental music. Even if it wasn't about the fans, however, I believe he would still sing both secular and Christian, because as a saved man of God, he wants to sing praises unto the Lord. It can be frustrating for those who don't understand or don't believe, because you feel like you can't get anything from a song about something you don't like or care about, but you can at least appreciate his talent and writing.

I’ve truly learned that if we have God we have ALL we need. No abandonment. No hate. Pure love, joy, and celebration over you. When we get saved there is a literal celebration over you. That is so wonderful to think about. Jesus Christ is absolutely everything and I can’t wait to worship in His presence for all of eternity.
