A guy buys one of these cars for the first time and the first time he takes it to the dealer and it needs new tires he gets sticker shock because he's never owned a performance car, goes on Tire Rack, and gets these. So, that being said...if you're going to do lots of other mods and are actually interested in performance...for the love of god get better tires. If you're daily driving a stock performance car and want to save a buck these are a good choice.
If youre daily driving a sports car some cheap grippy boy tires are all you need. I found some that hold the road fairly well for extremely cheap. I don't track my car so there is no need for me to waste $2k on a set of tires that will spend the majority of their life driving straight at 80-120mph.

Evo X all day , love it .
One of my favorite commentaries yet it helps that there where shots involved 😉best channel for a drinking game
The end of an era. Mitsubishi as we knew it died with this car.
Well, maybe they should have made evo's reliable.
@@raimondsstokmanis1892 😆
Raimonds Stokmanis 🤣🤣🤣
Raimonds Stokmanis idk if the blue paint confused you but thats not a subaru buddy your ringlands ain’t gonna fail on this car
This car is weird in that the exterior aged *incredibly* well, but the interior looks like a 2003 base model Civic. I worked at a rental company a few years back and they had a few 2018/19 Lancers (or whatever gen was the last they sold in America), and the interior still felt dated by 20 years. Very strange feeling.
Freestyle at the end fye
We got open-road tolling here in Illinois. I-Pass doesn't catch how fast you're going, they just get their money and thanks very much. And the engines fuckin' roar, because IL is where you drag race EVERYBODY on I-88.
Best car ever made, change my mind
Reliant Robin
lmao what
@@dookiebooger9967 Ah yes, how could I forget ;)
I got the new eclipse crossover ad while watching this video... that says it all
There's a dent in the passenger front door 1:27.... Bug's me

essentially the evo x is what’s the story morning glory by oasis, even though it’s matured from the first album some it’s still a coked fueled great album which is very much was the evo x is
2 Seconds in, and this video is AMAZING
Lol classic. $2000 in carbon fiber, a tune, other mods....Sumitomo discount summer tires. They're actually great tires for the price. I call them midlife crisis tires because they come in sizes for M cars and Porsche and Corvettes but cost like 1/4 what OEM summer tires do.
Anthony Jones Anthony Jones if you’re daily-ing you don’t need a tune or lowering springs or bigger brakes or carbon fiber. You do those things because they make the car more fun to drive. You know what else makes the car more fun? Fantastic tires on a curvy road.
@@benbunch4159 fantastic tires on a curvy road is great, however i live in a state that has nothing but highway so again no need for top of the line track tires. As long as i have something rated for high enough speed and somewhat decent dry grip im good.
Anthony Jones in that case I’d spend the money spent on other mods to move somewhere better. Also trackdays. 🤣
@@benbunch4159 whats your favorite track to tear it up at?
If Mitsubishi had made a manual Raliart, I would totally buy one! It makes me really sad they dont come in a stick
Why? Just get an evo lol
"I passed the Phantom Firework sign before him!" Hahahahahaha. I know exactly where you're talking about! This made my day 😆
I enjoyed the Rancid reference in this review. That Lancer's cool too I guess
You yelling about people anting the 4G63 forever makes me laugh as a Subaru guy, where I can't go five minutes without hearing STI guys whinge about wanting a new engine, but simultaneously not wanting one cuz "EJ FOREVER! RUMBLEGANG FAM! UEL FOR LIFE!"
This car is mine. I'm going to embarrass every wannabe special ops, tacticool, duramax, overcompensating, bro-dozers on base.
"On Base" my AF bro ✊. only thing that can stop us is lighting within 5 😂
meh my old ass dsm can best those trucks.. has a cast iron 4g63 too.
@@epoxeclipse Cool iron block bro. It's actually a hard fact that the 4b11T is hands down the better motor until about 1200+ hp. Aluminum block and all.
@@Yakobito I have a 6 bolt and 7 bolt 4g63, and a 4b11 lancer sadly lancer is non turbo but it's a good dd. gas milage and power output for the nt 4b11 is rather capable.
It’s about time we get a car review again
Evo 10, that’s what I really like about Mitsubishi. Love the carbon fiber, could lose the fart can.
you've actually made me cry in the end talking about denying the halo car the manual trany and stuff.
The 4g cars make way more torque when running similar reasonably sized turbos.
Nope.
@@Yakobito Literally. The 4b11 isn't setting records like the 4g63.
@@BigBallinCarHaulin 4g also has 30+ yrs of testing & tuning vs 4b having 11 yrs. Give it time. There's already an Evo X doing 8.1sec 1/4mi.
Ironic how the ad before this video is a Mitsubishi SUV, the only car that has Super All-Wheel Control now that the Evo is dead.
Could you do an el Camino review?
The vehicular hermaphodite, hell yes. And make sure its not a winga dinga special(60's/early 70's that's got craigers or Torq Thrust II's, mild 350 SBC, SS badges despite not being an SS, etc)
Hearing him talk about all these landmarks like phantom fireworks that i pass daily was trippy😂
Up vote for Rancid/ Tim Armstrong reference
Kyle DeRodes I prefer operation ivy.
@@TherealTony_Chin I'm deffinatley a big OP ivy fan as well. Good stuff. Pretty much anything Tim has done/ helped with I've liked.
360hp with just a tune. thats crazy. Ive spent so much on supporting mods on my car but only have 340w on a stock pump. One day ill be there....
6:15 Damn it’s already rusting up
Hehehehe, all UK models were reworked by mitsubishi UK before it even arrived in customer hands so our base model (FQ300, number is horsepower) had 300HP out of the factory, with the rest of the "basic" line being FQ330, FQ360 and FQ400 (all had the 5-speed manual as standard with the SST twin-clutch auto as an option). Of course, there was also the special FQ440 MR as well...
4:01 When you're riding your girlfriend...
I can't help it, a righteous Mitsubishi gives the twinkles in feel good parts..
I'd love to see a review of a Suzuki Jimny in an automatic, don't judge, autos are great for offroading and city traffic. Cheers.
The Rancid reference was gold.
a n g r y f a c e l i f t
The MR is not automatic. Its a manual trans with 8 clutches that shifts by using electronics to disengage the clutches. Its a sequential box.
