As Louisiana fights for a second predominantly voting district, the state supreme court gave the green light for the state to create a predominately white city, segregating Baton Rouge. Gary Chambers will be here to explain.
Hope in Haiti seems to be dwindling as violent gangs initiate new attacks on the capital city while infighting over the transitional council's leadership. The Executive Director of the Black Alliance for Just Immigration will join us and provide insight into what's happening in the Caribbean country.
Millions of households could have bigger internet bills or no internet service if a federal broadband subsidy program they're enrolled in runs out of money. The $15.00 is not enough as a decent wages. This is only $2,400 a month which barely pays the rent in a decent apartment. Once you pay rent, utilities and food, you have NOTHING left. There should be at least $25.00 an hour in order to live a moderate comfortable life. This is not even a middle-class income.

President Biden should be meeting with Dr. William Barber and his administration as he did with the Union Workers.

I have a question regarding voting. At what point do we put the message out and put the onus on the voter. Republicans strive on apathy of the american voter. Politicians are never going to listen to folks that don't line their pockets or take time to vote. It's that simple. Republicans continue to win, because young folks say they don't care about us, they don't listen to us, why should i vote... and Republicans have won the game. I hear Rev Barber, but, shouldn't this message be... you need to vote at all levels, if you aren't voting, they aren't listening. If you don't vote nothing will change for your favour. There are no good candidates because you don't vote. When politicians know that it's easier to get voters to stay home, than campaign for their vote, what do they expect. Folks want to say, the Democrats take advantage and just expect the black vote. If black folks regularly voted their numbers, maybe those democrats would start to listen. It's an ugly road and people expect immediate results. Roland has laid out the long game of Republicans, and it's happening all across the south... Yet for some reason folks still insist on not voting. when the shish hits the fan, ohhh people think about voting, but it's too late. It's a damn shame what's going on in MS, LA, AL, GA, TX, NC... Can't we just push for everyone to vote, vote every election...then when those numbers come in...politicians will start to listen. When numbers are up, better "candidates" may run...
I say all that to say, this argument of the Democrats/Politicians just aren't talking to the people (poor, working poor, black, students, other people of color), and that's why they don't vote, is a flawed argument of accountability.

If it were not for the blacks from various “down island” black people pouring in and building communities in the USVirgin islands, they’d have been nearly all Caucasian run by now… let’s not help divide and conquer ourselves regarding Haitian “immigrants” they helped build this country too

I am actually...even more so...that is why I am blessed and highly favored with a wonderful life, loving family, and an abundance of friends. Maybe you should look inward to what sort of deficiency you possess that makes you form incorrect ASSumptions about a stranger. You don't know me and never will get the pleasure.
