Dude, I wish there were videos like this when I first started like ten years ago, would've saved me a whole lot of trouble LOL. Your teaching style is so straightforward, and your voice and audio quality make for very high quality tutorial videos!
Glad to hear it. That was my inspiration for making this video. I asked myself "What kind of video would I have found super useful back when I started using Vocaloid?"
I haven't even watched the video yet and I can already tell this is exactly what I've been looking for, for AGES... There's like NO tutorials on how to mix vocals into an already-rendered instrumental track! THANK YOU
Thanks. It may have been a while, but, "I'm thinkin' I'm back" as they say. I have 2 new songs on the horizon and a new style that I'm excited to debut in the coming weeks.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! i was looking for these types of videos for a huge while, this tutorial will be a huge help for me and others! glad to see you are still active too!
oh my god, you are literally a life saver. i dont know anything about mixing and ive been fighting for my life in audacity for a year and a half. THANK YOU.
for anyone using fl studio trial, you have to redo all of the mixer stuff over and over. dragging and dropping with the file thing is with a purchased version only
i know this video is a year old but i feel the need to say it anyway: MANY thanks for this tutorial. simple and straightforward--it helped so much and now i feel like i can truly step closer to reaching my potential with using vocal synths (as mixing has been a massive blindspot of mine before). thank you so much!
As a newer producer, this video came out just as I was discovering how mixing worked and since then doing some of the things taught in this video have become second nature when mixing vocals for my original songs. Thank you so much for this tutorial and making my mixes not sound like crap! LMAO
INCREDIBLE tutorial. thank you so much! so simple, and easy to comprehend :) everything worked perfectly and exactly as you expressed them, and it allowed for flexibility, and healthy experimentation as well
im starting out on synthv covers (and had started on songwriting) and get frustrated a lot because my covers suck lol. it's a bit of tuning practice i need and hopefully i get the results i want with this tutorial, thanks a lot!!
I am trying to make only original music but have no lyric-writing background haha and have only had vocaloid 6 and v4x for like a week now, your channel will be my miku college 🙏🏻🙏🏻
apologies, can you explain what your did right at @00:58 in the video? I you're telling me I could've just been dragging the vpr files directly into my DAW (logic) this whole time 🤣🤣 i really gotta start reading manuals and watching tutorials before i jump right into stuff like i do haha
No, that was me dragging the VPR file into Vocaloid 5. There is a way to load Vocaloid itself as a VST plugin inside of a DAW, but I found this to be extremely clunky to use, as you're essentially running Vocaloid nested inside of a VST plugin within your DAW.
hello @GuitarHeroPianoZero i wanted to ask u smt its not about vocaloid btw its about an old vid u made back in 2008 showcasing a tf2 swep can u pls tell me what version of gmod u used pls thank you
I have some problems with the compressor and i need some help. Turning down the thereshold either changes nothing or makes the vocals louder. Its weird, bc it worked when i was doing another cover, but idk pls help.
Hmm, that's odd. You're certain you set the Ratio to 4:1? Because if the Ratio is the default 1:1, then the Threshold knob won't do anything. As for what would cause the vocals to get louder like that, I'm not certain. It's possible you have some other effect further down the line that's causing that, as FL Studio will load a default Limiter closer to the output. But aside from that, I'm unsure what could be the cause
I accidentally commented something on this video that was meant for another, lol 😭😭. I'm trying to mix voicevox singing and it came out...regretfully bad.
i hope im not bothering you, but how do i make a vocal to fade to static? it's a bit hard to explain myself so i can name a song and the timestamp of what im talking about if ur confused (fl)

fruity eq 2
preset: vocal presence
fruity compression:
ratio: 4:0
type: medium
adjust threshold then gain
fruity delay 2:
steps: 4
adjust input volume
fruity reeverb 2:
any preset works
While I don't see myself do any of this ever, I can say this was very informative and easy to understand. Keep up the good work
Useful and straightforward! I think an advanced techniques would be awesome too.
