After watching hours of loud and aggressive TH-cam videos .. your channel was such a breath of fresh air! Keep uploading.. and don’t change a thing!
I have one of his books. They are treasures! The patience he had in order to execute the series of books amazes me. Just the fact that he hand wrote all of the text! I love what you’ve done with your pen & ink here and I think you’ve done a really good job of re-creating and learning his style, and adding your own with the bee illustration. Thank you, I love this.🖌️✨
I love how TH-cam recommends niche channels, and I love it... Thanks, great film...
This is brilliant. It's just what I was looking for! Thank you.
Good job. I think you got the feeling of his drawings down really well. It wasn't a direct copy, which you stated you didn't want, but it certainly could fit in with his drawings.
Wow, so amazing! I'm so happy I just found your channel. ❤🙂
I think that was definitely a success! But yes, you really get a sense of the patience and focus required for the many details of such a scene, and the maps. Lovely exercise.
Great job! really interesting , I enjoyed your description of Wainwright's work and analysis of his style. I liked the story about the bee perhaps you could add some more insect or flora illustrations to fill in some of the white space. it would be like Wainwright meets The Country Diary Of An Edwardian Lady. 🙂
You are very talented and I’m learning a lot!
I wonder if as an advance or personalization of this you would enjoy getting a set of colored micron and using them to add color to the illustrations. I don’t have the patience for that kind of close drawing. I find myself craving a cigarette if I do something like that, and I quit smoking 25 years ago. I take that as an indication that close drawing (and close painting) is putting me into a craving state rather than into the more mindful flow state that working loose creates.
Thanks for the feedback. I did this page as an experiment in style to see if I could do a detailed drawing. I will be going back to colour though. 🙂
Can you start turning on the captions when you upload please?
I'm not sure how to do this but I will try and find out.
