Hello! how is it going? Are you happy with the i10? I am seriously considering buying it (63hp MPI auto klass). Is it fast enough in the highway?

I have one, pretty much exactly as shown here, same color premium. Very comfy to drive, a freeing feeling, easy to maneuver in tight areas in europe. It's such a relief after driving a sports car and older muscle car. I go around roundabouts quicker in my i10 than my supra gr. Only downside is that acceleration is slow, so you will have your foot on the pedal, but going over the speed limit in 2-3 seconds isn't stellar either

Excellent concise review. Great format to begin with the driving experience rather than with the usual boring details like interior and no of cup holders.😊. Pls mention about the chassis and brakes too.

I hired one recently (automatic) Drove it from Inverness to a small village in the highlands)
Cons: The "put your foot down lag was boarding on painful) even made roundabouts a bit more stressful.
Thats about it. Once you get used to when the power comes, it's just a good little go-kart. Around towns this would be great, but it handled the highland roads just fine. I would even say it was fun to drive at times!

    • @patrickcarrera5956
      @patrickcarrera5956 หลายเดือนก่อน

Feel like ""put your foot down lag was boarding on painful" is a direct byproduct of it only having 67 hp.
What seems to me, is that people who love the car normally drives in the city where the speed is low and given it low weight it can do it very well. its almost as the car is optimized for that. but if you want to get on the freeway high speeds (like 70 mph / 70 km/h) its going to take like 15s for it to rech that speed, whereass a "typical" car is going to take 10 ish secs.
That said, does not cost much and if the goal is city driving i would buy it :)

I 've got one for already one year and half, and I can tell you that the figures are: 42 mpg/city, around 50 mpg/average, relativelly good acceleration - 10,5 sec. 0 to 100, and surprisingly good suspensions, in spite of the appearently low tyres !

I bought an Ignis instead after test driving both. I am over 6ft tall and often carry tall rear passengers, I think that I made the right choice. Much more space all round. Higher driving position. Room for a spare wheel.

We manage around 50/55 mpg around town and this figure stays between 48/51 mpg on the motorway cruising at 65/70 mph. We always arrive fresh after a smooth and quiet ride.

I would have to look at a bigger engine as I would struggle to get up some of the hills where I am with 70 bhp. I struggle on some with 89 bhp but it is just about manageable. Shame it doesn't have a turbocharger.

If you know anyone working at vauxhall you can get one at 40% of retail price.
They get it on the staff scheme, you pay them 4 monthly payments for finance, then they contact the company saying they want to buy it and you cover the final fee. Around 6yrs ago a fully loaded Corsa was around £10,500. You can only get certain engines like 1.2, 1.4 and certain trim levels.
You could transfer the v5 immediately, but people took advantage and bought new cars to sell and make money, so it has to stay registered to the original owner for 2 years. No problem if it is for family members.
That meant a relative paid £12,260 for a car that had 5 free optional extras and was built to order that should have been in a showroom at nearer £27,000. They also have a number of cancelled orders and special editions that get snapped up within minutes.
Car dealers get a hell of a discount on new cars. Some are paying 30% of retail to shift them. They are stockpiled everywhere and often pre registered to meet targets.
Definitely worth a pre registered deal.

A neighbour bought an auto 3cylinder 998cc. Fuel economy is less than a 1.4turbo petrol he has that weighs more.
      Road tax is £190/year too.
Ride on 19inch tyres is horrible and it fidgets and bangs over stones on the road.
It's great if you're just going to the local shop, but forget acceleration and motorway use. 0-60mph is over 17seconds, 28MPG in town, far less when pushed. 70mph the fuel economy is 38mpg. This is because it's a small engine working hard, so a false economy.
A 1.2litre is far better, is faster and gives better MPG.
