Trying to start Perkins 4108 Diesel engine...

Now, based on the other comment you don't have it any more. But, for anyone else reading this, the way to get a perkins going without the quick start is to get the glow plugs nice and hot, and stick a blow torch in the intake.
It'll fire right up.
