SV Definitely Maybe they outfitted those engines with different heat exchangers from different manufacturers. I have the same engine and cannot find the zinc on mine.
Looks like the Anodes are either non existent or need attention. Hydrochloric Acid and water (1 Acid - 10 water) can be used. Just like doing a pool salt water chlorinator.
I was going to look for a radiator shop to dip mine but now I’m gonna try this🙏
I need to do this soon. Thank you for the video.
Is that the zinc that was bubbling for so long?
Could u do while the heat exchanger is still on boat bolted on
Yes, there is a funnel that you put in your sea strainer and sealed with a rag. You crank the motor while pouring barnacle buster in.
thats the concentrate supposed to dilute it.. that bottle is 70$
"not too bad, almost..." can I quote you ?
if you are going to do it in situ - flush through 45 mins one way - and then reverse the cycle for 45 mins in the alternative direction
Is this a Sen dure heat exchanger?

Why do you keep calling this bunker buster. The text above calls it by its proper name, Barnacle Buster. Had me confused there for a bit...
