I grew up in Matson Crescent but on the other inlet. This brought back heaps of memories pumping for nippers and fishing from the old baths just to your right. Great to see the bay is still active. Great post mate and thanks for the memories.
I am talking about 50 years ago. Fishing near a group of mangroves right at bottom of our property always produced bream. As a kid of around 12 years, all my mates and I had boats, so we were never restricted to our own inlet. Having fresh bait at our door step was a blessing that we really did not recognise. Weekend camping up South West Arm was taken for granted. Keep fishing mate and make sure your kids get exposed to fishing also. If your kids get to love it, I'm sure you and your kids will grow up without a lot of the bad exposes that kids have today. We didn't have TH-cam so everything had to be learnt. Keep up your great work mate.
@garryetchells5501 sounds amazing. Thank you will do. I'll definitely check out the other side of Yowie bay and other spots in the Hacking in future videos
I had a mate's boat just in front of you. Whilst redoing the cylinder head, we had a handline over the side. Off it goes, and we couldn't stop it. 3 days later we look over the side a there's the cork bobbing round. Reefed it in and it was a bloody big snapper. Just shows how territorial fish are...
Nice little Trev mate. Nippers are the ultimate estuary bait. Might want to put a bit more line on that eggbeater, it’s sitting on about half capacity.
Rookie mistake - 4lb braid and no net. Even though it came in handy, WTF are you doing standing out there surrounded by water with an empty bucket. Nice Trevor 👍🏻
@@1upfishing purely fyi...from where u were located on the sand/mud bank..there's a rock outcrop on ur left hand side (when ur facing the boats), it's easily accessed via a track thru the bush over the bridge from where u were parked...near the houses &.is closer to the boats & deeper water...
@@1upfishingyou can also fish of that jetty that was off the right of you and I have herd some people have caught big fish of it if you go up the street a bit there is a bush area and a stair chase to get down

@garryetchells5501 amazing. So lucky to grow up there. What was the fishing like on the other inlet of Yowie Bay?

For sure. They are worth all the effort to get them. It's got 150m line, you think more?
Nice video mate!
Love that 3D location overview! What program did you use for that?
Thanks. It def turned out looking great. It's just in google earth
Good size trev mate
@@RobInglis-tn8gz few more of them on the regular would be nice
What kind of bait is used for fishing? Where can I find it?
I was using nippers. You can find them by pumping for them in the sand at the spot!

Lesson learnt 🤣 I initially did shore fish but got no bites so had to go deeper and it all paid off in the end
The ducks help burley the water 😉
😄 Very true!
