If a vehicle has been left neglected for so long the rules often have to go out of the window in order to get things done. Pampering genuinely deeply ingrained old surfaces will get you nowhere in my experience!
Why anyone would be worried about swirls on a car with visible rust that's probably concealing much worse rust in the window channels etc is beyond me lol
Yep, this one needed a somewhat heavy-hand. I do like the fact that you put in extra work on those areas that stand out. Even small areas done well add so much to the overall impression.
You might not be getting mad viewing numbers recently, but you should be seriously proud of the quality of content your creating. Another fantastic watch 👌🤙
I am, 14 solid days this one took me from conception to upload, guess I just need more fake shock face and random arrows in my thumbnails to let the algorithm know I’m the real deal 😬
@@CarCleaningGuru long time subscriber (I think since about 2016?) but nothing showing in the recommended for ages :( finally had this appear though… I thought you stopped uploading for a while
Can't beat a Guru video and what a transformation. Quick trick for rust runs... Cif Cream Cleaner on a damp microfiber should remove the worst of the staining and keep it fresh. Test it out on the next rusty transit you have and I'm sure you will be impressed 😍👌
Proper content and excellent effort Joe! 👏🏻🤩 Few weeks ago I have done a super-neglected Transit Luton Van that works seven days a week for a Friend, that was a bit different, but it helped me to feel that how you felt during this clean… Sunshine, drying chemicals, heavy scrubbing, not enough time to tackle everything, awkward and can’t-reach places to get to, moss-algae-rust… Proper and realistic mammouth task it was Joe, well done!!! 😉🤜🏻💥🤛🏻😎
Out-bloody-standing! I hope the van's owners have an upstairs from which to admire your roofing skills. Really wound back the years on this one. Nice...
I think the forbidden brushes for the top did it more good, even a good polish on the top and a coating would be good for the future. And I’m glad to see the rust spots eventually did come out with the polish, it must have been a night and day difference just from the clay step, well done!
I've detailed vehicles this size before and I know it's a huge effort and very taxing on your body. This kind of turnaround in two days is nothing short of miraculous - excellent work.
Brilliant video as always, you, like the van went more than the extra mile. Commentary much apricated and makes all the difference to the overall production. Thanks and well done!
I bet the owner was well happy! Great work, nice to see you working in the real world as opposed to in a sanitised workspace, (which would be great if we had one) 👍
Superb job as always fella. That roof really was a challenge! But you did a great job and even the tired wheels looked as different again for just being cleaned
That fiberglass top is very very difficult to maintain and imo needs a coat of clear coat to be more easy to wash because it's a very porous material. It's very nice that this old VW got a little attention 👍, it's a nice utility van, simple and robust and as usual, it's a pleasure to watch your work 👍
It’s funny how most people think you can just chuck a bucket of water over a car, rub it a bit with a old sponge you found on the garage floor and call it a day. They don’t get just how long a good clean actually takes.
Good work. That fenwicks stuff is great. I use it on the family caravan every spring and it comes up a treat. You looked a bit fed up but you grafted on that van. Cheers.
Great video of an awesome cleaning/decontamination job ! Your generous amount of elbow grease used during this actoin totall revived this beautiful yellow paint work. The owners must have been totall thrilled after seeing the end result !
Another great video. Can I ask when cleaning tyre walls have you a go to product ?,as when I clean mine I just use a general shampoo and it always lets the team down, even after I hit it a few times using the Viking brush or stiff bristled brush.
really love the additional advice with the tire shine ... i learned the hard way that i should have gone with '' less is more '' so i could have avoided it being flung along pannels
Great job! That stuff on the topside is alive and really grabs to the surface. I know it’s unorthodox for a detail pro, pool shock 12% SH will take a lot of elbow grease out of the equation.
Fantastic Job Mate!Especially considering the time constraints you had on this particular Job.I love your detailing videos as l used to work for Holden in Australia as a full time detailer.Keep up the great content and well done on the VW.
Wow! Watching all that shit running down the side is so satisfying! Another brilliant job done 🤙 would love to see the transformation you could do on my motor with a good machine polish! Been wanting to do that for a long time but never done it before and don't fancy burning through the lacquer haha
Great Turn around on such a Grubby machine as allways, Have been enjoying your very satisfying Videos for years, It has that old, Edd China WD feel in explaining things to the regular Joe soap 💪, Keep the great vids comming, One of the Best dealing channels by far in my eyes and I do follow a good few, TJ Hunt, Tommy FYeah, Adam Lz need to get you over.
brilliant job bud, lot of hard work but looks really good, I have the task soon of machining my t5.1 camper van which isn’t going to be an easy job, think I’ll need to do a panel at a time
This voice over is actually very nice and the accent of, I think British, is amazing to hear. Nice work as well, looks completely different afterwards 😁
It’s just a case of using a light to moderately abrasive polish. You don’t even need a machine, can be done by hand and a bit of elbow grease. Just keep polishing until it’s gone and uniform shine is restored!
Maybe you can answer my question. What is the best product to remove carnauba wax from plastic trim? I obviously didn't want to apply it on the trim but accidentally managed to put some on here and there and since then the trim is full of white marks. Tried with shampoo. Thanks. Great vid by the way.
Panel wipe type product, all purpose cleaner, thick exterior dressing can often eat through it, someone mentioned a pencil eraser in my last vid but if all else fails, solution finish should recolour.
I like how Guru isn't afraid to break the so called unwritten rules to achieve the best realistic results.
Great stuff as always

@@CarCleaningGuru so true
Why anyone would be worried about swirls on a car with visible rust that's probably concealing much worse rust in the window channels etc is beyond me lol
Your effort has substantially increased the value of that old camper. Awesome
Even without, their value keeps increasing hence why there's an increase in thefts of either their parts or the whole vehicle.
Amazing job!! For me the best detailer in TH-cam
Cue the “omg he’s just a valeter” comments, lol.
@@CarCleaningGuru it's weird that you guys have 2 words to describe the same thing over there. It's all detailing 🤷
It’s all car cleaning!
@Car Cleaning Guru well yes .... and er no 😂
It’s nice to see a video where someone cleans a genuine dirty car/camper. That’s one things with you videos there genuine and honest
Dirty black rubber seals are the best cleaning part. The black soap is so satisfying
Car Cleaning Guru - the original, and still the best detailing TH-camr
And he doesn’t even class himself as a detailer or TH-camr, lol.
Bringing old bangers back to life is one of the best parts of your job and a pleasure to watch. Hoping for more like these. Cheers!
Nice Guru. Glad you’re back and with A very challenging vehicle . So much filth.
Looks great Guru, you did an amazing job.
What a difference a (couple of) day(s) makes! 🎶
Top work Joe, top, top work.

I’d love him to detail my car, feel like I can do a good job but he’s so professional and thorough. Another brilliant job !
4:09 PowerWash Simulator 2 looks so realistic
Absolutely fascinated! Bet the van’s owners are over the moon, thanks for giving it your best!
well done, thanks for showing a camper van
Awesome level of attention to detail resulting in a fantastic transformation, well done mate !
Nice to see something different, loads of effort put in by you not just on the clean but filming and editing, it’s really appreciated 👍

Lovely job there Joe.

Yes that’s why I couldn’t get away with leaving any spots! Bungalow motorhomes on the other hand…
Top work on a cool van, Joe.👍😎 I really like these real-world detailing videos. The end results look great.
Awesome job! Proper champion result 😎
Absolutely mega effort, two full days on that thing voluntarily! I trust the owners were very grateful 🤞 you’re a very generous chap! 👍
Great cleaning video. Excellent watch.
I would have drenched it in TRF to save a little elbow grease. Amazing transformation.
Yeh off camera I might have, filming makes things far more likely to dry though 😩
great job, the difference was amazing!
The camper van looks great after being cleaned. Keep up the good work. I find the videos you do are very relaxing to watch

Needs protecting with something for sure! Once clean though, a couple of thorough brush shampoo jobs should stop it getting too ingrained again.
I really enjoyed this one, quality 👍🏻
Great clean. Ironic that the toughest part of the clean up (the roof) will likely never be seen by the general public 😀

What a mammoth job! Great work, mate.

I used G101 on my mate's camper and came up very good frist wash in 9 years.
Nothing worse than trying to do a job without the right tools.

You did was the other side of the wheels or no?
A tip for freshing up plastics (bumpers, mirrors, etc) you could use owatrol polytrol or similar.
