  • Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Hamilton Beach Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker. LINK to Hamilton Beach Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker: amzn.to/2eO01FZ
    I reviewed the single sandwich maker a while back and you can watch that video down below.
    This unit measures 6 inches tall by 10.5 inches wide and 8 inches deep. There’s an instruction manual with a few recipes.
    Before using for the first time, wash the rings in warm soapy water and dry. The rings simply pull up and out. Align hinges to the base and put the rings back, the taller ring goes on the bottom. The top and bottom heating plate should be wiped with a warm soapy cloth. Wipe off with a damp cloth and dry. Spread some oil or nonstick cooking spray on the plate and rings before using.
    Plug in the unit and the red power light will be on. Leave the cover closed and let the unit heat up. When the green preheat light comes on, the unit is hot and ready to use.
    Open the cover, put the bottom of the english muffin on the bottom, I’m using cooked bacon and some pepper jack cheese, put the cooking plate and top ring down. This is where you pour your raw egg. I’ll crack an egg onto the plate. Pierce the yolk, cover the egg with the top half of the english muffin. Close the cover. Don’t push the cover down, it’ll naturally rise as the egg cooks. Set the timer to 4 minutes. We’ll let this cook. The light could go on and off during cooking, that’s normal.
    The timer is counting down and will beep when finished. To stop the beeping, press the up or down button.
    It’s hot so use an oven mit, pull the plate handles out, lift the ring. Use a plastic or metal utensil to grab the sandwich, don’t use metal. If you’re going to make more sandwiches, wait 2 minutes for the unit to heat back up.
    This is a gadget that works for people who love breakfast sandwiches. It also makes a cute gift.
    I hope you enjoyed this review. Subscribe for more reviews and I’ll see you next time. Thanks for watching :)

    This was a wonderful review. I bought this sandwich maker for my 13 yo grandson because he likes breakfast sandwiches before school, and even as
    an after school snack. I sent this video to him cause its the best one I’ve seen on TH-cam. He’s an expert at it now. My daughter thanks you as well.

    I bought the dual model. Love it. Sometimes I toast the English Muffins first and dab them with butter.

    I originally bought the single sandwich maker but later sold it and bought the double model because my family likes the sandwiches so much. I love this machine!

    If you want to speed things up, make several sandwiches and put them into a zip lock bag and freeze or place in the refrigerator. If frozen, remove, wrap in a paper towel with loose ends under the sandwich. Microwave for 48 to 60 seconds, remove and it will be ready to eat, just like a White Castle. Play around with the timer. On my 1500W microwave, it is 45 seconds for those refrigerated and 60 seconds for frozen.If you have a pizza maker you can crisp up the muffins as the kids keep coming. Again, explore experiment. You can save time.

    One piece of advice is go easy on the cheese . I used slice of American and it melts pretty quickly and erupts all over. Maybe a dryer denser cheese will be less messy. Cheddar Swiss work better . Another good way is scramble the egg and add grated Parmesan. Also when you pour in the egg whether it’s a whole egg or scrambled yet actually have to put a little pressure down on the handle so it makes a complete seal or otherwise the egg will leak out and make sure it’s been heating properly otherwise makes a great sandwich

    This was an excellent demo. I would like to add two points and those are: Apply a thin film of vegetable oil to the cooking surfaces. and do not pull the cord out of the wall by the cord. securely pull on the plug. Otherwise, if the wiring inside the plug should pull loose it can cause a very high burst of heat that can cause severe damage to your hand.This is true of all electrical appliances, including your television.

    Good review, thank you . For me personally and I’m thinking for busy families , there is wayyy to many ways to get burnt using this product. Every inch of this thing is hot ! You would not be able to have one of your kids make a quick sandwich in the morning just worrying about them getting burnt on it. This is not for us. Hopefully a design change is coming soon cause I love the idea.

    • @edmaher3612
      @edmaher3612 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Don't underestimate children. They are much more than simple rugrats. Some are designing Ethernet systems, solving extremely difficult math problems, and others who are mechanically inclined can remove a care engine. Sure they make mistakes, but with proper guidance, they will actually grow up and believe it or not, purchase a car, drive, become astronauts, design race cars and drive them to a FINISH.

    • @atimu1Life
      @atimu1Life 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      okay and kids arent going to burn their hands even more easily when frying eggs on a pan? at least this takes a lot of hassle out of it if you can teach them to not touch the heated parts, which is not asking for a lot.

    • @jaynepolchito7424
      @jaynepolchito7424 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Never used an oven mitt using ours.. It’s not for very young children, nor is a toaster or stove top.🤷‍♀️The handles are warm, but a good safety lesson before use, and kids with common sense, will have no more issue than with any appliance. It makes a great, hot breakfast sandwich!

    • @BeckyAnnWeiers
      @BeckyAnnWeiers 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My parents taught me hot to properly use the stove top and sharp knives before the age of 8 .. I made my own breakfasts every morning. This unit, just like any kitchen appliance isn’t overly safe for a small child but if a kid can cook bacon with hot spattering grease on the stove they can use this

    • @RedboneUnincorporated

      Maybe stop coddling your children so much. Being burnt teaches you to take care around hot surfaces.

    • @azurecielo52479
      @azurecielo52479 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I watched a few of these reviews, and if the unit is not hot first, that immediate start to cooking the egg will not occur and can leak out. Is it hot first (green light)? If so, perhaps there IS a problem with heating element. I hope that might help you out :)

    Should say non stick cooking spray needed to make these sandwiches! Especially the tray where the egg is placed.

    • @edmaher3612
      @edmaher3612 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The non stick sprays everywhere. Simply taking a vegetable oil damp paper towel and wiping the surfaces works well before and after to clean. Washing not recommended. Just use the oil to clean, unless you make a mess.

    i have the single sandwich maker and i don't like that there is no on off button on the machine, i have to unplug to shut it off they should of added one to the dual one as well as the single one

    • @edmaher3612
      @edmaher3612 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The dual unit does not have switch either. Besides, a switch is a strong point of failure. The currents flowing through the electric coils will arc inside the switch and it will fail.

    • @mikemordkovich7653
      @mikemordkovich7653 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The same way it will arc in the wall outlet when you manually plug it in and out...

    This looked great to me. That said, it was very cumbersome and just makes a mess. Save your money. It's not worth the time or effort. You can't turn it off without unplugging it. The entire unit gets really hot. You need pot holders to open it. Great idea, piss-poor implementation. Version 2.0 might be pretty good. Cheers.
