Love how nobody talks about the RGB Flickering on these boards. If you set your screen to show time and info. Every second the RGB flickers as if the clock is interfering with the lights. I confirmed it with them.
That's a great and very specific callout that I was not aware of. I almost always set my screen to gif mode since I just use the taskbar's date and time but this is good to know.
Not bad for a budget keyboard. My favorite aspect about this keyboard has to be the RGB lights at 2:31 (they look like stars 🌟). I also think it's pretty cool that the knob changes the screen. Thanks again for another great video! ❤
Great video! Because of this video I was able to find the software drivers and considering that I am running it all stock without the mods, I can say that it's already great as is. Though I had issues with this keyboard. The issue I had with this keyboard was using GATERON switches. They were loose, there was issues with the input (either hard pressing, or no inputs at all), and even if you try to change switches to let's say the stock Ajazz switches, if you have any other switches around the key that isn't stock or vice versa, they will still have that input issue. Overall, great keyboard other than the issue I had with GATERON switches. Maybe if you try different ones it would work better but that's my experience with it. Great vid!

Ive had 2 ajazz keyboards and they've all broken within 6 months and both had the same issues First the p key stopped working and wouldn't work with the rgb and would just be white, then the whole row stop working (qwerty row) then the pillar (0 key, : key, ? Key and the alt and fn keys) then the whole board went like that after a month So I just basically had a white cross in my keyboards with a bunch of keys that wouldn't work And they responded to my emails in the most broken English and said "your products is are the broken we can not garantee" I have no idea if other people have had this problem or not but it is 100% worth mentioning

@@keebtunes I won a raffle with whatgeek to review this keyboard. I got the Orange version. Did you try the 2.4ghz? I found mine just would never stay paired and took hundreds of tries (literally no exagerration) to get it to pair only for it to lose pairing.
Mine paired immediately so I didn't run I to this issue, have you tried different ports? It could also be a bad dongle too, or a bad transmitter on the keyboard..these things happen with mass produced stuff
I think the RKm75 is a better buy - the quality feels better. Or if you want a more premium feel, the Leobog Hi75 is probably best, for the budget. Or the Womier SK75. But if you're dead set on a screen, I think the TH-80X with a larger knob and a screen looks awesome, and it's probably cheaper with the coupon on AMZ. amzn.to/4fFf69g

You have to use a prying tool to pop up the tabs holding the top and bottom case together. I usually use a tool by a brand called jimmy ifixit amzn.to/4cEAF7d

oof I feel ya...redragon keyboards have been kind of disappointing in general - you could maybe try a simple mod first of adding some tape mod to it to see if it'll help...that's a fairly straightforward build. Did you use the right software? These keyboards have very similar names so it's easy to get mixed up sometimes, otherwise, make sure it's set to wired and not wireless
I'm reeeally considering this keyboard! But I'm such a noob at this and I've always had bad luck with phones and mouses coming faulty haha. Do you know if this keyboard comes faulty (or any other hot swappable keyboard) I could just get more switches and replace them so this new keyboard could be eternal? which red switch from which brand? There's so many, and they're all different in some aspect. But generally, they're all about the same in terms of responsiveness as their pre-travel actuation is usually around 2.0 mm

For me, I don't mind as long as I get a media knob though. I also think the switch options for the Aula is superior, like the leobog reaper, over the ajazz switches.

I never got the VIA thing - it seems that it would just be more cost effective to not use VIA, but then again they do have a gif-enabled screen, so i guess the integration into one software made more sense to them
@@keebtunes Epomaker Shadow-S and ABM066 work fine with via. When you own 5+ keyboards thats 5 very untrusted pieces of software to install just to do key binds. When you get to 20 that could be 10 to 15 different manufacturers software to install. Why do that when you can buy plenty that are smart enough to support VIA at same or cheaper prices its no longer a premium option.
yuo're not wrong - I have a folder fore very single keyboard software for keyboards that I've tested, and it's quite an annoyance because even the same series keyboards might have different software. But I think for the average user, they won't really have more than one keyboard, and won't even know about VIA, or remap, to care.

Cause guess what you then capture the people who do collect and that do care so its a double win. Also cheap Keychrons and even the $45 dollar RK61 the OG is now including it. So it's no longer about price. That and you save money on paying some dude no one trusts in his basement to write this software. Many of these boards started as no name brands. So doubt they have real trusted development ;)

@@keebtunes pairing is a matter between the dongle and keyboard. I was able to pair it once with a USB charger

Yea you can customize your own RGB - I don't know to what extent other than just color changes to the layout (can't do effects or anything like that).

The version that I have isn't magnetic so I can't say for sure, but bad magnetic switches are unsatisfying to play on
