I bought one of these brand new back in the 80's. I still have it and it works great.

You really have a lot of cool stuff. I checked out your eBay shop, saw the Nakamichi tape deck. Nice!

This is a direct drive TT no belt

It is direct drive, but these Linear Tracking turntables have a separate belt that moves the tonearm

I have this turntable and it admits a lukewarm feeling on the turntable mat. Once played a Vinyl Record it feels slightly warm. Is this normal? I have used this player for 5+ years and replayed many of the same vinyl records and it hasn't warped them. Just something I have noticed with this turntable.

It’s normal for them to get warm (not hot) under the platter. Just beneath the platter bed is the heat sink for the motor speed control board. If it gets hot (not just warm) it’s probably time to replace capacitors and transistors.

@@kappandrew1 Thanks for the response this is a better way to describe what I mean "I've noticed that the platter seems to get warm when the turntable is operating, and thus the records feel slightly warm when I remove them after playing them. Not hot, mind you, just slightly warm." Guessing that's pretty normal?

No, they do not. But… that’s to your advantage. I put some videos out there on preamplifiers. Man, some of those are so sos soooossss good!
