What an idyllic scenery. Lots of water lilies, no wind, some clouds, the birds chirping…and decent sized bass biting your new lure over and over again. Pure bliss.
Waking up in MN on a raining morning. Tomorrow should be nice though... post frontal, but a good fishing day. Have a great father's day weekend everyone
Happy Father's day if you are one 😅 but I'd suggest bringing some pliers to the lure and bend it to close the gap, did it with my frog lure and helped tremendously.
Just for clarification for anyone considering buying a sharko it’s not a traditional hollow body frog. It’s really a hollow body weedless glide bait. It was designed for walking the dog just under the surface around weedy areas. Figured I’d try to help anyone out before they buy one and start saying it sucks because it floats terrible, etc. 😂

Just been off trout fishing for the day, 13 of them caught 40 - 50cm each so good day fishing. Coming home to this, made it a perfect day! Keep it simple and fishy, it's good!
Matt, I'm always amazed how often when you have one miss on top water, you throw back to it 2 or 3 more times(with the same bait) and they come back for it. Seems i rarely get one to do that.
the purpous of the sharker is its kinda a hollowbody glide bait... slowly real it and it comes through water just below the surface in the s motion like a glide bait does

Two weeks ago, I walked down to the bank of our lake to make a few casts right before dark, not really expecting to catch anything. I had a 3 inch wacky worm on my hook. Caught a 3 pound bass, then 2 casts later I caught the largest fish of my life. I didn’t have a scale with me, but I know that bass was over 10 pounds. When I held it up for my wife to take a picture, I had both of my hands in its mouth, like you see people holding giant catfish. It had eyes as big as a cow! Quite a thrill 🙂
Hi NDYak. I was wondering if you could show us how you enter in your kayak. Your technique is flawless & everytime I try to enter in & out- I somehow end up soaked in one way or another. 😂
Most of the time it’s deep enough next to shore I can just sit down on the seat and rotate my feet in. If I have to step in I put that first foot in right in the middle to keep my weight centered, grab the side handles and push off shore with my other foot.
you 100% could. anyone could. its 90% location. fish dont care who or what is being thrown at them. they react to movement and sound/vibration. put a hook on a stick, youll catch fish
february of this year i was working out and tore my labrum in my hip. i’m having to undergo surgery to fix that and a impingement. today i went on my local lake for the last time to fish for a good minute for the soul pourpse to watch a fish on a wacky worm. although it was 90 degrees here south in AL i got plenty caught. your content has shown me many things about fishing and i look foward to Saturdays just for these videos.
I’m surprised I don’t find more pike there. I’ve caught a few but most trips it’s just bass. I’d guess the pike just hang out a bit deeper than I usually fish but late summer I’ll throw topwater as deep as 20ft and find some bass out there.

Just curious, thanks!
I'm curious about your kayaking footwear of choice. My Altama mid highs are OK, but too narrow. Need mids for an ankle issue. Looking for other options.
I like my Astral shoes. I have Loyaks now and Brewers in the past. I like the Brewers better they just quit making a color that would go with my fishing clothes.
I didn’t mention it in the video but that’s the first thing I thought when I saw that hook gap, I’ll be sticking anything that bites! I had a couple fish shake it but I don’t think I missed much other than bluegill nibbles.
