- Let's hop in the kayak and see if we can catch a river beast with the snake lure! I'm fishing for muskie and pike on this trip and sometimes showing those fish a lure they've never seen before leads to some crazy action!

Was just about to make the same comment, those that know... know. That was masterfully done / keeping that fish engaged the whole time.
I like how the muskie swim off after the release like they are NOT in a hurry. Most other fish splash and dart off, no sir not muskie, they saunter off. Love it!

Thank you for another great trip from my armchair. I'm an old guy and when I was a young 'un I always read that the muskie is the fish of 1,000 casts. I know you worked for these 2 and others I've watched you catch. Maybe you are doing better than 1,000 casts per. Whatever I enjoy fishing with you.

I have been painting cartoon style lures the last couple months and took out my 8” cartoon rainbow glide out and got 5 or 6 pike hits on it, 3 catches and the biggest one I got swallowed it right in front of me and some people who came to check out what I was throwing since I was on the middle of town. Epic day of me would have made it fun that many made it amazing. I also have that exact same lure tied on for my next trip out in a little east of you but hoping for similar results but with pike ;)

Love this lure , I like exotic baits for freshwater. Mice, Lizards, crawfish, birds , snakes. Trying to do more of this in FL
That’s crazy. It’s the first part of May and it still looks cold there. Nothings green yet just a different world up there. I live in Southwest Oklahoma. It was in the 80s today.
One of the best fishing videos I have ever seen. Those laser guided casts among the overhanging trees and that figure eight catch are quite an accomplishment!!! And that boost of confidence trying that marvellous snake lure. Awesome.

That second eat was one of the coolest eats I have ever seen. The drawing power of a giant snake seems pretty valuable. Much like throwing a large swim bait. You may not catch a dozen fish in a day, but the ones you do catch will be quality.

The pike and smallmouth have been crushing the big (also small)top water ploppers at my local Lock(spillway) ..the other night I caught over 20 smallmouth-12 over 3 pounds a couple 4 pounders and a few real decent pike around 30”+ the biggest being 41.25”
Fantastic Musky catches on the Snake , I use the smaller one for bass and do very well here in Pennsylvania . I would love to see you do a video using the Musky Jitterbug one day , I think it would be a good video and it’s something you don’t see many people doing . Thank you !

Dude that cast under that overhang I literally said, “that’s it. That’s going to be a fish” and sure enough when you mentioned watching a fish come up and smash it, I saw the silhouette and knew.

I actually went back and tried Freddy yesterday and got skunked. I did have two follow it and not go for the figure eight, but had two others swipe at Freddy a lot like the first fish hit here and I missed them. I was a little afraid of that, they seem to grab the back half of lures this time of year when they hit the top. I did notice Freddy had a spot where I could move the treble to the back segment of his body so I’ll definitely be doing that if I try him out there again. I think next time I’m going with the bird lure though. It makes a lot of noise and with the treble on the very back it’s almost impossible to not get hooks in fish when they hit.
