Some of the best fishing channels on TH-cam in my opinion, it's hard to make videos that are both relaxing and really entertaining. Keep the quality high
Was on Vermillion in Mn. with family and our son has a bird calling gizmo. Started playing Loon calls . We had two come right up to the dock while we were having cocktails 50 ft. away. COOL
This dude absolutely rocks. The Bob Ross of fishing. Helps me unwind after a hard day. if I meditated, I guess it would be like that. Hard to be more "zen" than NDYakAngler...cool dude.
I'm so jealous of the amount of quiality water you have to fish in your area. Almost everything around me is private with less than inviting land owners
Can honestly say, I’ve found your videos a week ago and you have got me hooked! Got out and got me some frogs, whopper plopper, wacky worms, and drug my cheapy non-fishing kayak out and did some casting! Addicting!
I caught my first few fish on a kayak! I’ve got 3 smallies so far and hopefully more to come, the river current is a challenge but it makes it very rewarding to land the fish. Sending good vibes from the Fox river IL, Thanks!
I hope you get some money from these companies. You are the sole reason why I have bought lures. And the lure review is honest and very results proven, I appreciate it
Epicondylitis keeps me from fishing lately and this most enjoyable fishing video allows me to fish vicariously through our good friend Matt. Those two last decent sized bass really are a marvellous way to call it a day!
Just got back. Not a lot happening this morning where I live. Caught one little largemouth, and it started getting too hot for me to be out. So...come home in front of the air conditioning, and watch you do your thing. Thanks for posting another awesome video!
Love your content so much! I go back to a lot of your older stuff and would love to see a part 2 of “struggles of a kayak fisherman”. That video always makes me laugh so hard 😂. Especially love in that vid when some how a baby pike comes out of the stomach of the bass you missed. What are the odds lol
Thanks, Matt, for taking us along on what turned out to be a great day of top water bass fishing on a very entertaining lake, I enjoyed every moment! Take care and be safe!
That had to be one peaceful night on the water. You had bass, pike and Dwight Yoakum to add some fun. I have an original Grass rat lure in bone white with the pickle shape. Added some new silicone legs after the rubber ones disintegrated. Time to give that another shot in the rotation. Thanks for taking us along Matt
Thanks for the upload Matt! Always look forward to watching your videos. Bite has been really tough in Maine this year so watching your videos after a tough day makes it all better!
I love these mornings! Recently made my first baitcaster because of watching your videos. St croix bass x medium heavy paired with a lews smash reel. Keep up the great videos man!
That makes sense. I lived on the Kettle River in Sandstone MN. in the 60's. One of my favorite lures was a South Bend Wooden "Tiger Frog" with similar colors and shape of your lure. Wherever I went in MN it tore up the large and small mouth.
Watch out for the snappers. I hear they really like pickles. haha. Thanks for taking us out on the water. Every trip I am amazed at the scenery up there. So lucky to have such clean places to fish. Stay safe and until next trip...Fish On!
Amazing how loaded your fishing places are! I would just use a buzzbait most of the time at your places, the best overall lure for covering lots water with so many fish and pretty much weed free shorelines I really like the plopper lures, but nothing beats a buzzbait for the most water coverage, but you can throw a buzzbait in to some mazes and get it out of places the ploppers might not make it out of.
@NDYakAngler has anyone ever told you that you are the Bob Ross of fishing?!? Your voice is so relaxing and the fiahing is always fun and new! Keep up the good work sir!!
It occurred to me sitting here, having my coffee, that I've *rarely* if EVER seen a boat out on the lakes where you fish. For that matter, I've hardly seen any other people using the water at all, save for your buddies once in a while! Amazing, but interesting all at the same time! So I paused the video and wrote that comment right before you talking about the storm cell moving in. Hit play and you're at the next lake and you've got more people! haha anyway
Between getting the internal parts lined up after every bite and having the bottom drainage hole in the middle of the lure so I’d have to pretty much fold it in half to squeeze the water out, it was too much frustration to fish that lure again.
LOL. I wish I had a dollar for every time you said “Pickle Frog”! Love your videos they always put a smile on my face. God bless you and your family. P.S. quit tormenting the snappers 😜
AWESOME VIDEO and like casualangler576 said!!! Definately relaxing and entertaining to enjoy watching. You have it down pat on putting a person in the Kayak fishing with you, THANK YOU for the experience!!! With all the rain and flooding going on here in Iowa. Time spent on the water this year has been very minimal. Going next week to NW WI. for a week of fishing and your videos sure do get a person primed to go. Like yourself I'm a passionette Pike fisherman with a desire to one day catch a Muskie. Maybe this trip to WI. it will happen. I know its said about Pike. But in reality LM Bass are way worse. They/Bass are catchable with hooks attached to a licence plate. The Pickle lure never stood a chance without being eaten from a LM Bass!!! LOL
That thick stand of cat tails you were next to at the beginning of the video, those types of formations have produced some massive bass for me (4-6 lbs), especially from an hour before sunset till a half hour after.
The one I dodged here wasn’t anything too severe I just didn’t feel like getting soaked. I got out of there just in time, right as I pulled out of the launch it started dumping rain!
Great post.watched this with my kids.awesome.Hope you and your family are doing well and enjoying summer.quik question I know your loving the diawa zillion baicasters.curious what size and reel speed your using for your main 3 set ups?.wacky worm, top water.and frog.im thinking about upgrading from my tatula sv tw.
I have 7:1 for all three. Most of the lures I throw I’m aiming at a small fishy looking area so I’ll work it 10-15ft through there and if I don’t get bit I like to get the lure back in fast to re cast. I don’t toss many lures that need a lot of cranking power where a lower gear ratio would be better.
@ndyakangler Thanks I'll check out the 7:1 zillion.wast sure if you were using 7:1 for your spook jr.Thanks.I'm using a paddle kayak aswell and fish shore lines.I agree that a faster gear ratio is best.I don't fish deeper .some lakes I fish have alot of traffic .pleasure boaters.jet skis etc. So I tend to fish early and later in the day..and the fish are usually tucked under docks.or close to shore. And weeds.curious what knot you like to use to tie on your lures? Thanks for letting me know about your set up.all the best my friend.
just picked up a bass x 7’1” MH, excited to try it out, and after i picked it up i didnt even notice that you always use one, makes me even more excited, how you like yours? hopefully gonna be catching some central mn topwater pike this weekend!!
I have to conclude fish in general will grab anything that might be food before others. This could be just another block of wood or something. They could always spitted back out. Right? if it wasn't for the hooks. I see that all the time in an aquarium as well as my backyard pond.
Some of the best fishing channels on TH-cam in my opinion, it's hard to make videos that are both relaxing and really entertaining. Keep the quality high
After watching numerous videos of this man. It wouldn’t be no surprise to see him catch fish using a jar of pickles lol
10:00 the 2nd best part of fishing is listening to the loons. I moved from MN and I miss them!
Yes! That’s the best
I got Dan Gibson's Loons cd as a gift
Was on Vermillion in Mn. with family and our son has a bird calling gizmo. Started playing Loon calls . We had two come right up to the dock while we were having cocktails 50 ft. away. COOL
I’ve never heard a loon while fishing in southwest Oklahoma.
This dude absolutely rocks. The Bob Ross of fishing. Helps me unwind after a hard day. if I meditated, I guess it would be like that. Hard to be more "zen" than NDYakAngler...cool dude.
The Bob Ross of fishing. Perfectly said man.
LOL @ "Shake my pickle"!!!

Hey, I also fish the fox river in illinois.
Looks like another awesome day on the lake! Thanks for sharing!
Hell Yeah! Great day of top water fishing AND a free concert. Does it get any better?? I submit that it DOES NOT!!! 🇺🇲👍😎👍🇺🇲
Gotta get me some of that, "Back at it again!" Thanks, Matt!
That was some mighty fun fishing!! Thx for bring us along.👍👍
I hope you get some money from these companies. You are the sole reason why I have bought lures. And the lure review is honest and very results proven, I appreciate it
Agreed. Several of the lures I have used in recent years I learned from him
Epicondylitis keeps me from fishing lately and this most enjoyable fishing video allows me to fish vicariously through our good friend Matt. Those two last decent sized bass really are a marvellous way to call it a day!
You gave those bass the “ol, pickle tickle.”
Just got back. Not a lot happening this morning where I live. Caught one little largemouth, and it started getting too hot for me to be out. So...come home in front of the air conditioning, and watch you do your thing. Thanks for posting another awesome video!

LOL i thought at the 6:30 mark Matt was going to say damn that Bass shook my pickle, but he saved that remark till near the end!!! 🐟
Always an adventure with Matt.
The fact he's giddy about the title of the pickle 👏 🤣
That makes sense. I lived on the Kettle River in Sandstone MN. in the 60's. One of my favorite lures was a South Bend Wooden "Tiger Frog" with similar colors and shape of your lure. Wherever I went in MN it tore up the large and small mouth.
Another great video, thanks for taking us along.
Got the video notification “do bass like pickles” and had to click on it
Ha same!
same here
Literally one of my favorite bachelors of all time
Always the best fishing content. Going to have to pick this one up, my river get weedy in August
11:15 the local bar band is playing, love it!
Hopefully whatever they're playing doesn't hit Mat with a copyright claim.
Watch out for the snappers. I hear they really like pickles. haha. Thanks for taking us out on the water. Every trip I am amazed at the scenery up there. So lucky to have such clean places to fish. Stay safe and until next trip...Fish On!
Don't b skinny n in there snappers like pickles ;)
I can speak for everyone. Thank you as always, Matt.
Those bass from those two lakes had gorgeous coloring
Love you're videos, I've dubbed you the Bob Ross of fishing❤
This man is one of the best if not the best fishermen on TH-cam
he's my fav for sure 🤝

Some of the best youtube channel on TH-cam is the best 🎉
@NDYakAngler has anyone ever told you that you are the Bob Ross of fishing?!? Your voice is so relaxing and the fiahing is always fun and new! Keep up the good work sir!!
I have that lure! Got it out of a mystery tackle box a few years ago. I usually throw it over my regular frog.
Funniest thing I heard all day?... "The one that shaked my pickle" LOL
The front of the mold is typical for lunkerhunt. A drop of superglue before you tie on will help
I enjoy how amused the creator is by how pickle like the lure is
awsome video.. nice fish. kool seein that turtle🐢
Heading out tnght. Kayak catfishing with a few buddies. Too hot in Ohio for day time. Thanks for the video, great as always.
Love the pickle frog. Good laugh, great video. Thank you
It definitely looks like a pickle!!!!🥸
What a great way to start my Monday off. Good fish

Nothing like having your pickle shook!
It occurred to me sitting here, having my coffee, that I've *rarely* if EVER seen a boat out on the lakes where you fish.

was just thinking the same thing lol
Put some hot glue around the hooks and in the front of the pickle frog!!
Love the video bro thanks 👍🏻
I have one of those. The small one… I couldn’t get largemouth bass to hit it. I’ll try it on smallies next I think. Good videos man!
That hook set up looks like a pain in the 🫏
Between getting the internal parts lined up after every bite and having the bottom drainage hole in the middle of the lure so I’d have to pretty much fold it in half to squeeze the water out, it was too much frustration to fish that lure again.
-Do ditch pickles eat pickles?
-You are what you eat.
Guitars, Cadillacs, Topwater Pickles
Enjoyed the concert! 😊
103 degrees with 12% humidity today. Decided to cancel the lake trip and stay home in the a/c so thanks for the video!
LOL. I wish I had a dollar for every time you said “Pickle Frog”! Love your videos they always put a smile on my face. God bless you and your family. P.S. quit tormenting the snappers 😜

It’s Pickle Riiiiiiiiiick!
I was lookng for this comment!😂
Really enjoy the videos.
Man i love kayak fishin
"If you keep playing with your frog your fingers are gonna look like raisins."
That's one way of putting it.
😄👍
Darn near every cast a fish.I love when that happens.A little squirt or glue or silicone to plug that hole.
Put a dab of silly cone in there my friend..🇺🇸🦅👍
Kind of an acid trip episode: pickle frog with a helicopter circling Matt blaring Nancy Sinatra! 😁
Thanks a lot Jak,I already bought jar of pickles
Watching your videos made me by a kayak 😅.
Pickle rig!
Fish on!!
😂 great video as always Matt.
I had to beach my kayak the other day because of the same thing. Texas thunderstorms are sketchy lol.
The one I dodged here wasn’t anything too severe I just didn’t feel like getting soaked. I got out of there just in time, right as I pulled out of the launch it started dumping rain!
will watch tomorow.. as always one of the highlights of the week:)
And here we all thought cucumbers were pickles....😉
Good day today meeting outdoor chef life and fishermans life
Just bought my first kayak and reeled in at least 20 bass on it's maiden voyage!

Vielen Dank!👍🎣🎣🎣
I didn't want this video to end.
It was a fun evening! I was really hoping to hook into one more as the band was playing “fishing in the dark” right before I paddled back!
