Years ago I had a motorguide that had a variable speed throttle where I could set my speed and it freed me up to do more fishing. The xi3 allows me to do much more. Eating sandwiches is not a priority when I am fishing.
Can you stern mount the Xi3? I would prefer to keep the weight off the bow. Plus I keep my fishbag on the bow. Yes I would have to run cords to pull down the release etc, but I would do that for the bow too. Hobie Outback 2019
When I set my xi3 to anchor mode it seems to be hit or miss to keep it within a 5’ to 20’ area. When I come up to a spot and push anchor, almost every time, it immediately reverses is backwards about 10-15’ and then slowly creeps up to within about 5’ of the spot. Any tips or tricks to using anchor mode effectively?
We run the bioenno 80 amp that’s the lowest I would go. With Xi3. The 80 is plenty but if you can afford a 100 go with a it. We have never drains the 80. But it’s always good to have extra. And we run separate battery’s for the graphs. Because you can get interference with the motor.
@@OneObjective Thank you for ur response. What size battery would you use for 9" HB and 360? Do you have a video link for a fishfinder battery install setup?
I get about 4.8 to 4.9 mph. I can fish for about 10 hrs . That’s about the longest I have tested it. That’s on a 80amp bioenno. Thank you for watching our videos. More to come!
At the time I thought it would but after the video was posted I found out it’s only for Lowrance. But I’m talking with Motorguide to see if it will be possible.
OneObjective awesome well when u get them in stock you’ll have a buyer. Also plz make that shearwater front end trolling motor mount. just a little plugin comment I’ll just leave that there haha thx!
I was getting right a 4mph or a little over. That was with a big group 30 lead acid battery. I ran it all day. With some long runs. But just put a 80 amp bioenno so I’ll be running that. Hope fully speed will pick up a little
The fact that it's freshwater only ruins it for me. You can get the Haswing Cayman for half the price and it's saltwater rated. Sure Motorguide has it's name, but you know if they made this freshwater only then they cut corners.
@@OneObjective Wouldn't this ruin the warranty on it and also increase the price even more? I do like the idea of it very much, but for the kind of fishing I do saltwater capability is a must and for the price motorguide wants it just doesn't add up for me.
Awesome video! This might be a dumb question. Can this be used on a full size bass boat? Thanks!
They do have them for bass boats you can get the xi3 or the xi5
@@oneobjectiveoutdoors3732 Thanks for the response!

Yes for the most part depends on your graph. They make adaptor cables for a coupe different graph brands.
the pin point gps is awesome, i found a underwater hump and the xi3 held me in one spot and i got 18 bass off that hump without having to reposition
That’s awesome! Yes Pin point is a must have
A tip: you can watch movies at Flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Rene Javion Definitely, been watching on flixzone for since november myself :D
Have you had any problem with it going crazy and just take off with not touching the remote
We haven’t but I know a few people have. It’s was one of two things a faulty mother board or they needed change battery’s in the remote

How fast do you need to go on a kayak? I have this motor on my 17' Bass Tracker boat and it pulls the hell out of that.
Looking for a mounting plate for a Big Fish 120 for ix3
When will you have one for the wilderness radar?
Not really sure when we will have one available
You guys coming out with a mount for a Hobie PA 14?
Yes in the near future hopefully
There's already one out by onthewaterinnovations by Denny. I have a couple of videos bc I couldn't find any.
I’ve only seen one person be able to communicate through the NMEA 2000 cable to the MotorGuide. They’re on TH-cam and had their project shut down.
Never heard anyone say what you do with the rudder when you using the trolling motor on the bow ?
You can keep it down or fold it up. You really don’t need it
@@OneObjective I was referring to the Native Titan 12 ?
@oneobjective are you guys going to get a mount for the pro slayer propel 12.5, can you bow rig one on that one?
Please do a video when you get around to connecting your xi3 to your graph. Please!

just what im looking for. what size battery are you using for the trolling motor? do you use seperate battery for finder? Size?

Bowmount vs sternmount, whats the pros and cons?
We have a video we did on the pros and cons of each mount. Check it out I think it will definitely help
Can this be used in saltwater?
No! There is a saltwater water version hitting the market soon. It’s white.
Can you mount this motor at stern?
Have you been out in heavy winds and waves? Having all that weight upfront does your bow dig in when you are underway?
What speed are u getting on the titan 12? Also what range are you getting with what size battery? Thank you! Keep up the great vids

@@OneObjective where can I find that battery
What is the amp draw for this motor? Im trying to calculate what type of battery would be best.
Any chance of a mount for an ATAK 120?
Yes possibly but will be a little while
So can that be linked to most fish finders?
How do you deploy and retrieve the motor?
We either do it at the ramp or climb to the front to pull it up. You can also do a rope system. We will be doing one soon
@@OneObjective I'd like to see how you do the rope system I'm trying to figure out how to do mine
Will do. We will try a shoot a video on it soon.
Do they make a bow mount for an ATAK 120
Not at the moment.
In your opinion What kayak works best for the bow mounted Xi3? Thanks!
Would it hook up to a garmin echo map 63cv

How much does the Xi3 Kayak 36" motor weigh?
Who sells xi3 kayak with the 36” shaft? I havent been able to find any online sources.
NuCanoe had them I believe. And we will have some in stock soon.

Thank you saw it in the next post.
@@blnkstefaans6892 he stated in another comment reply; around 4.9 MPH and 10hrs of run-time.
Great video. Could the Xi3 be paired with the Humminbird Helix (7)?
I’m not exactly sure I no it works with the lowrance
Does the shaft move up and down with the remote?
No you have to adjust that by hand.
