Another great video from long time subscriber. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but there comes a time we need to admit a hammer is no longer a hammer. As a kayaker these barges seem counter to ask the things that make kayaking fun: light and maneuverable, great way to exercise and stay in shape, be fully emersed in one ability to propel a craft, and just being one with the craft and the water it floats on. To each their own I guess.
What is the depth you have the xi3 mounted to? how much adjustment do you have? Curious due to cavitation? Was it set right out the box or did you have to lower or raise it? Cool vid, thanks for sharing.
@@tgcanoesandkayaks Oh, ok. I can definitely see where that could happen, I just didn’t realize the bow mounted trolling motor created that much turbulence. I purchased a Mossy Oak bottomland F12 less than a year ago, but after further research, I now wished I would have purchased the Unlimited model. Thanks for your quick reply!
I went from a native titan to a hobie PA. I love how straight my PA tracks because of the skeg rudder. How is the tracking on this? Considering picking one up cuz its lighter.
I recently purchased a frontier 12 and I'm currently purchasing items needed for a setup like this. Is that the saltwater version? I'm curious because it's only a few hundred more and I would like to get into saltwater fishing as well, just wondering if its worth it.
Way to many variables to give you a great answer. If you are a tourny guy, you would want to recharge after every session. For us on a 4-6 hr day on the lake, low winds and mixture of full power/half/and some spot locking, we go multiple trips with out recharging.

Everyone has different desires/needs. It's great to have such a variety of choices nowadays. Indeed, to each there own 👍

I noticed underneath your seat, directly behind you, there was a lot of water bubbling up inside the kayak.
Yup, motors add more turbulence and can create those bubbles. You can also plug your scuppers should you desire to block them.

The sgeg rudder combo on the PA is hard to beat. The Unlimited tracks well on it's own, however if you want a rudder NuCanoe offers an add on kit.

@Tbone464 Yes, this is the saltwater friendly model. 100% worth the money if you wanna go to the coast
Did you get a chance to test the spot lock
spot lock works great
How stable is it while standing for you?
One of the most stable kayaks I've ever been on
Do prefer this set up over the electric outboard such as the NK-300 or Torqeedo?
Depends on the kayak and application. On the Nucanoe, yes I like the XI3 over a rear mounted motor.
I like you motor setup, just want to find out With 12V100ah battery, how many hours of run time you have on the water ?
