I would not advise you to buy the Alfine 11 hub. I use it on my Randonneur and it lasts about 20.000km until it breaks. I am using my third Alfine 11 right now. A friend uses the Alfine 11 in the Bullitt and due to the heavier weight the Alfine breaks down even earlier...
Hi, would you like to share some pictures? I would love to meet up with bullitteers outside Belgium. But at the time it's a bit to costly. My channel is still to small to get some return on investment. But who knows maybe one day... However I probably will go to Bremen for a few days to visit Bullittbike.de and film the cargo bike race www.united-cargobike.de/race/
alfine 11 doesn't have any benefits on it's own. try different gearing ratio on the 8sp. (you can go under the factory recommendation) i really would be amazed if this guy uses the 7th or 8th, which is about 35 and 40km/h at normal pace (~90rpm). on an alfine 11 he probably wouldn't use the last 4 gears with this set up (33,38,43,50km/h). futile, he will have 7 usable gears.

In Hannover is also a ultimative Bullitt, with carbon and special parts. :-)
