As many times as I have seen the crucifixion portrayed throughout my church and bible college history, this made me catch my breath...more incredible acting by Roumie...we need more of these types of films/shows to remind us of all He sacrificed for us. Dallas has a way of bringing such emotion and faith to the screen. His love of The Lord shines as always. Jonathan Roumie's portrayal of Jesus shows such love and compassion. His faith oozes through every action, line, and even the moments of silence.

I know for a fact. If we see the cruxifixction in the chosen my heart will break just like here. Jonathan’s performance as Jesus is the greatest in my opinion. There hasn’t been anyone who has captured the kindness and humbleness of Jesus the way he does.

I do want to point out the incredible acting of the two thieves. I would be so happy to see them continue in the chosen as the two thieves. This was so well done. I don’t know what I expected but when I heard him said “you are going with the carpenter” my jaw dropped and I was like “nooooooo” knowing what this suddenly meant. When he said “as this for a carpenter…” I felt that. So good
Both those actors have already played parts in the first season of the Chosen. The repentant thief played Moses, and the un-repentant one played Mary Magdalene's father.
I Loved this story. Dallas is a young man and the Bible has many stories. He can be kept busy retelling the stories for us on screen which is a way for him to use that unique talent God has given him... Please continue Dallas...I await your next story.

A thought provoking production in which logically such events outside of the crucifixion could have happened. Three guys in prison, one is freed the other two are also crucified. A little liberty is taken with the dialogues on the cross but in context to the thieves previous lives . Personalities of that day were well captured in this short movie. Thank you for making this video. It does give thoughts to ponder. A friend always !
When I read about Jesus in the Bible He always sounds to me to be powerful, confident, and maybe even intimidating. I know He is humble too. But somehow I never really visualized it. This is an amazing portrayal. He looks like He is in real pain.

This isn't how it went. The bible says both of the thieves mocked Jesus and cursed him but this shows only one of them doing that while the other one wasnt harsh with Jesus
@@christiansoldier77 Actually, if you go back to the beginning of when they're first shown on the cross, it's very obvious that both of them are deriding and mocking Jesus, but as time goes on, the one thief realizes that Jesus is innocent, and he admits his guilt to Jesus and the other thief.

One of the men in the cell at the beginning of this movie is the same man who played Moses in The Chosen - when the Old Testament scenes starts the episode starts. Forgot the Episode - I think it was a scene early in Season 2, I think. Overall this is soooo good and touching as ALWAYS. YAH BE PRAISED!
And the other man, the un-repentant thief, played Mary Magdalene's father. The Moses episode was S1 E7, the one where Nicodemus meets with Jesus at night.
Ahhh 😭 got me again. First of all, happy Easter y’all, secondly I just bawled my eyeballs out. Not sure who the actor was playing Jesus, however I’ve seen lots of actors play him and few seem to even slightly feel “natural” this moved me. I love my lord and I will forever be in awe ✨❤️
Jonathan Roumie-he plays this role in The Chosen Series. It is also VERY MUCH WORTH watching. Season 3 is now completed, and avail. They have started filming Season 4. But of course, watch from the beginning.

Stella, I was meaning that since they didn’t like the ad that they could pay to not have to be interrupted and the content creators do not determine the ad that they see. Now to say that they should be happy with their reward in heaven instead of a financial gain would eliminate ANY ministry from being paid for the same reason, and Dallas NEVER claimed to be a ministry! It’s wrong for you to suggest that Christians shouldn’t have to support Christian ministry with generous financial giving, and to expect it to be borne by someone else! Even only 5% of the people who watch The Chosen help financially and THAT is to the shame of those who don’t! What you don’t support goes away! If Christians were not so selfish there would be no reason for ads to support the work they put into their creation.
After seeing this, I was just shocked, like so shocked Never knew the pain they actually went through, the pain HE went through. I'm starting to be more serious about my faith.
In that moment Jesus felt the pain from every human. He felt it from every human to know the thieve on his left was forgiven. That the thief on his left learned on this earth. That the pain he underwent grew his soul. He showed him proof that he knew his pain. “Lord, why have you forsaken me”. The man then asked why it is that he doesn’t tell the people they are wrong. “Forgive them, for they know not what they do” And that’s when he knew that he was the messiah. Because that answer wasn’t human, it was divine.
Amen, he is faithful and just to forgive us all our sins. And he walks with me and he talks with me and he tells me I am his own, jesus christ loves you very much. We are anew creation in christ jesus name. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. But he will be with us always even unto the end of the ages. Sometimes this world feels cold and lonely but we are never alone jesus christ is with us always and never let go of him and he will never let go of you. He is coming back soon there will be a rapture and people will probably say where did all those Christian go.
seeing Jonathan Romie played as Jesus in this short movie it's like i could see what will happen on crucifixion scene looks like in The Chosen series (except in this short movie Jonathan didn't used Middle Eastern-English accent but it's worth it). man i can't wait to see this scene will be on The Chosen as a reference to this short movie, and idk what season will be (currently The Chosen series is on S3) but i guess it'll be on Season Six.

This hurts. The inevitable conclusion of The Chosen was fillmed way before its inception. Poor Jesus... he didn't deserve this.
It wasn't the nails that held him to that Cross. It was his agapao (ultimate love) for you and I that did. "WE" did not deserve this.

One of the men in the cell at the beginning of this movie is the same man who played Moses in The Chosen - when the Old Testament scenes starts the episode starts. Forgot the Episode - I think it was a scene early in Season 2, I think. Overall this is soooo good and touching as ALWAYS. YAH BE PRAISED!

Ahhh 😭 got me again. First of all, happy Easter y’all, secondly I just bawled my eyeballs out. Not sure who the actor was playing Jesus, however I’ve seen lots of actors play him and few seem to even slightly feel “natural” this moved me. I love my lord and I will forever be in awe ✨❤️
Jonathan Roumie-he plays this role in The Chosen Series. It is also VERY MUCH WORTH watching. Season 3 is now completed, and avail. They have started filming Season 4. But of course, watch from the beginning.
Really interested in seeing this in The Chosen. Not looking forward to it, gonna be heartbreaking but I know they’ll do it justice and it will be a defining moment for many who see it

My only critique: please omit commercials in something as important as this film. The interruptions, especially during the Crucifixion scene, are horribly placed. I had a Lume commercial. @@EHV8R That's not necessarily true. Content creators are free to choose _not to monetize_ a video which eliminates commercials. Obviously we want our content creators to get paid and depending on who's doing the funding, you can choose to have _all_ of your ads placed in the beginning, middle or the end of your video. I know some creators in the True Crime space do this, so as not to have interruptions during their documentary. To maximize monetization potential, you'd want to allow mid-roll ads placed at natural breaks in your videos. However, in a film such as this, _depending on the creators intention,_ it is sometimes better to forfeit the monetization knowing that your reward will be greater in Heaven. Again, it boils down to where their heart is in the matter. For example, a random director (not a Christian) could choose to make a film about Jesus the historical figure, and treat it as they would _any_ film they'd hope to make a profit on. Or, they might be a Christian creating a film about Jesus _with the explicit intention to further the Gospel_ (which is our duty as Christians) and having no desire to profit on Earth but rather to profit in Heaven. Regarding "rewards in Heaven" that a born-again Christian can earn, the Bible tells us in Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Stella, I was meaning that since they didn’t like the ad that they could pay to not have to be interrupted and the content creators do not determine the ad that they see.
Now to say that they should be happy with their reward in heaven instead of a financial gain would eliminate ANY ministry from being paid for the same reason, and Dallas NEVER claimed to be a ministry! It’s wrong for you to suggest that Christians shouldn’t have to support Christian ministry with generous financial giving, and to expect it to be borne by someone else! Even only 5% of the people who watch The Chosen help financially and THAT is to the shame of those who don’t! What you don’t support goes away!
If Christians were not so selfish there would be no reason for ads to support the work they put into their creation.

After seeing this, I was just shocked, like so shocked
Never knew the pain they actually went through, the pain HE went through.
I'm starting to be more serious about my faith.
"Do you not fear God, we deserve to die for the crimes we're committed, but he.. Was innocent. "
Praise Jesus such a good film production.
A preview of what would evolve into"The Chosen" before it was a global phenomenon.
"Why are you letting them do this to you?" Jesus: "because of you, and you, and you."
In that moment Jesus felt the pain from every human. He felt it from every human to know the thieve on his left was forgiven. That the thief on his left learned on this earth. That the pain he underwent grew his soul. He showed him proof that he knew his pain. “Lord, why have you forsaken me”.
The man then asked why it is that he doesn’t tell the people they are wrong.
“Forgive them, for they know not what they do”
And that’s when he knew that he was the messiah. Because that answer wasn’t human, it was divine.

Amen, he is faithful and just to forgive us all our sins. And he walks with me and he talks with me and he tells me I am his own, jesus christ loves you very much. We are anew creation in christ jesus name. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. But he will be with us always even unto the end of the ages. Sometimes this world feels cold and lonely but we are never alone jesus christ is with us always and never let go of him and he will never let go of you. He is coming back soon there will be a rapture and people will probably say where did all those Christian go.
The only Safeway in or out of this world is to know jesus christ as your personal lord and savior jesus.
Now I see how The Chosen came to be.

seeing Jonathan Romie played as Jesus in this short movie it's like i could see what will happen on crucifixion scene looks like in The Chosen series (except in this short movie Jonathan didn't used Middle Eastern-English accent but it's worth it). man i can't wait to see this scene will be on The Chosen as a reference to this short movie, and idk what season will be (currently The Chosen series is on S3) but i guess it'll be on Season Six.
