There actually is a Titan card of the current gen Nvidia, it beats the 4090 in terms of raw performance by about 11%, but it was never released to the public.
Conclusion 4080 is far more than you need in most games but 4090 gives a noticeable performance increase for a gigantic price increase. This means in games where both cards stuggle you can get significantly higher fps - for a gigantic peice increase.
Not really, I have a 4080 Super with a R7 780X3D CPU. You just enable DLSS more in 4k or with Frame Generation, and have High settings instead of Ultra and still get 60FPS +, as it's not like your going to stare at a blade of grass, tree or a building in ultra settings.
@@hanzobi1926 4090 shines more at 4k usually. DLSS and FG works yeah but can't beat the native image specially during movements. Activating FG if you can't get to 60fps before is awfull. Subjective matter but not for me...
Given the 200% price difference between the two in my local market and a raw performance diff of 25-30% I see nvidia would still be giving 4090 two gens (incl. itself) so another 80 card can take over its performance. Given the price history, 2 gens after now will make the 80 series higher in price than the current 4090. Overall, I see in the long-term upgrading from 4080 to another 6080 or later will inadvertently sum up more than 4090's current price. So Nvidia has done its math to cash out of us.
