I was looking at that speaker set for the last three or four days (for my desktop setup) and i was sceptical because even if i like the looks of it, i was uncertain if it would sound any good at all. Then came your review and now i am ordering them for sure. For the record, in my country (Greece) the sell for 79.90 Euros which is about 80 Us Dollars. Ps. Long time subscriber, that was my first comment. Cheers.
Dang it. It autoscaled instead of staying at the limits I use. Ughhh. 🤦♂️ I’ll have to edit that section out and just refer people to my website for the data. Good catch and thanks for letting me know!
Edifiers are really underestimated and nobody does klippel measurements on them. It would be really cool if you could also review S360DB/S350db or 2850db. Those are cheap, powerful and really appreciated quality speakers. Thank you for the work you are doing Erin, you are changing the game
I've heard about Edifier also got klippel nfs in recent year. i also think it would be great if they are willing to disclose the measurements of their final products.
I Bought a pair of MR4 for my parents like two years ago, I was blown away by the quality for the price, I'm surprised you say it's even better ! That's cool !
In nearly every case, a household item with an app, whether required or not, is a privacy red flag. Especially if the control commands bounce off their servers before reaching my appliances.
You're freaking awesome Erin! I was watching one of your older videos where you where wearing a silver wig and beard. Do more videos like these. They are just great. And you are an awesome reviewer as well. Keep up the good work 👏
Nice. I wish you could review the m60 also from Edifier. Aesthetically at least they seem much better to me. Also reviews on the adam d3v are all very positive and seem to point out that it is trully a competitor to those kalis. Maybe even better considering bass extension. I wish you could try those too. Keep it up man!
Great litttle speaker from Edifier. Thanks for measuring such an affordable pair. I hope Edifier can send you the s1000w/II speaker. I’ve always thought that was a sweet spot of sound and price. Gojira will get you!!!! 🦖
Erin, a really brilliant review. I had these for a limited period, I so dearly wanted to love them, they look astonishing and are really well built. I was so had I had to give mine up. No matter what I did to the tone adjustment or in the app, I could not control there was a constant hiss from the internal amplification. It was not so noticeable on the headphones but enough to be a major distraction. Any ideas and did you notice in testing, I still would love to own these minus the hiss. BTW who is the figure on the tee shirt, at first I thought perhaps Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzie
Man, I’m sorry to hear that. I didn’t notice any hissing with mine. Not on my test set up or on my desktop set up. I had the volume knob set to max for my testing and at one point to put my ear right next to the speaker and didn’t notice any hissing. I was actually surprised by that. On my desktop, I did the same thing but noticed a faint level of hissing. I can only conclude that based on this the source providing the signal might be the main culprit in your case. It seems it was in mine. But that’s just a reasonable guess.
It's a pity I live on another continent because I would send you my Airpulse A300Pro, it's the top model of the Edifier/Airpulse series and I think they are great for the money, in my opinion it's hard to find something better at this price and I've heard that they were made using Klippel. Anyway, good job Erin, I love your work.
Ditto. The S3000pro/MK2 is also a very interesting speaker which I'd like to see him review. It's less expensive than the A300/A300pro but still a great value.
Thanks for this review! Now I have something to recommend as computer speakers instead of trying to convince people to put small bookshelf speakers on their desk. Especially since monolith appears to have discontinued the satellites. I missed the close out sale. 😢
Add SPDIF inputs & this would make a great alternative to a sound bar. I assume the EQ is digital (let us know if I'm wrong) that implies inputs have to go thru A/D conversion, yuck. SPDIF inputs would avoid that conversion. It's amazing to see this performance at this price!
Fun review. Glad to see Edifier have a decent one... Might start shilling this for friends who wanna start in speaker space but dont wanna commit large amounts yet. Also, yeah No giant was killed😂
Great review, hopefully you get a chance to review the new iLoud micro monitor pro with arc correction. I know it’s more, but I can see allure of plussing up for the extra capability.
I was not specifically looking for reviews of this model, but I wanted to know about the brand. Interesting results for a ridiculous price by today's "standards." With that footprint and performance vs price, it is a worthy option.
I bought these to replace my MR4s because the white ones just looked really nice. Was surprised at how much more refined their sound is. Erin, how much do you think I need to spend to get a substantial upgrade? I'm not planning to hop around trying different speakers and just looking for a solid long term replacement. Thanks for the great reviews and your measurements!
Hey, do you think these are actually usable for mixing and content creation? Amazing if they are, seems like there are no alternatives at this price point
Within reason, yes. Are they as neutral as something like a Genelec speaker? No. But these are a fraction of the price and do pretty well. If you have these connected to your computer, then you can also use some equalization and dial them in for your setting a bit more.
Hey Erin, from looking at the controls available via the app, it looks like you can implement a variable (in both cutoff freq and slope) high-pass filter using the "Low Cutoff" setting. Is this correct? If so, it would be very useful for integrating these with a sub. Great video, as always; Cheers!
Amazing. Capabilities, ... at such an accessible price; - variable high pass - high and low shelving - spatial loading - six bands of graphic EQ Put this thing in a billet aluminum cabinet with carbon fiber accents, branded/laser etched with E.A.C., $10k. (optional upgrade, silver/copper C-7 power cord $2k) Seriously, a $2000 cord feeding a $3 power supply.
what a bittersweet feeling… on the good side, it's nice to know that there's a new great speaker for that price range. on the bad side, i just bought the MR4 a few months ago and something better came up right after lol 🫠
Erin is so much happier nowadays 😁
So I'm not alone in noticing. Hmm
💯
Okay, that intro actually had me laughing out loud!😂
Good!
We need more fun intros like this 😅
Same hahaha
We need more of this 😂

Hi Erin. At 11:00, Are you sure that 3% is at around -16dB? It should be -30db or so right?
Dang it. It autoscaled instead of staying at the limits I use. Ughhh. 🤦♂️
I’ll have to edit that section out and just refer people to my website for the data. Good catch and thanks for letting me know!
Best intro ever 😂

I approve of silliness. 👍👍
Would love to see you review a similar size nearfield speaker, the kanto ora!
and the m60 from Edifier! and pro-ject's speakerbox for passive.
Happy Erin,,🦖
Happy speakers,,✅
Happy me,, 😅
Thank you ever so much for your time and relentless work, Erin,, ❣🙏❣
You are so welcome!
😂, thanks for hammering the MR3 is > the MR4 they are similar price and I think most would assume the MR4 is the superior
No problem 👍
Tuned in for Erin, laughed at Godzilla. Then got Erin again.....Bring back, Godzilla!
In nearly every case, a household item with an app, whether required or not, is a privacy red flag. Especially if the control commands bounce off their servers before reaching my appliances.
Any hiss from the amp?
Thanks, it's good to see speakers at this price range here. Hope you will do more like this one
I got more coming. I like to review a broad range of different prices.
@@ErinsAudioCornerthat's great! Hopefully you'll test more edifiers too. Really pleased with my s350db and really curious about measurements. Peace
Glad 😂 the intro 's back
Funniest video yet. Well done. Great to see a very affordable speaker that sounds good and can be adjusted as necessary.
Ask them to send you the big boys-S3000mk2-with the 6.5" woofer and planar magnetic tweeter!
You're freaking awesome Erin! I was watching one of your older videos where you where wearing a silver wig and beard. Do more videos like these. They are just great. And you are an awesome reviewer as well. Keep up the good work 👏

Excellent recommendation!
Thank you.

To more edifier review!
The one brand that makes cheap-ish speakers for the Brazil Market

That intro.. is what we needed.. 😅
😎

Also, yeah No giant was killed😂
30 sec in and already laughing 😂
We finally see your true face! Loudspeaker brands should be afraid, very afraid!
What does your listening room look like?
Great review, hopefully you get a chance to review the new iLoud micro monitor pro with arc correction. I know it’s more, but I can see allure of plussing up for the extra capability.
I want to choose between edifier mr3 and edifier m60
Looks good for my PC desk.
I was not specifically looking for reviews of this model, but I wanted to know about the brand. Interesting results for a ridiculous price by today's "standards." With that footprint and performance vs price, it is a worthy option.
Solid video, engagement++
Thanks for the detailed review. Will you review the iloud Micro Pro & MTM?
Just curious, what is the width you had them apart on your desk.
Nice Intro👍🤣

Could I use these with a wiim ultra?
Yeah. For sure.
I've always liked Edifier products.
I'm dead! Thanks for the laugh!
You’re welcome!

So if money is no object, what is the smallest desktop stereo pair that you recommend, no subwoofer or bundled? Genelec 8010 is on the table.
$700 a pair? You could pick up a pair of svs wireless pros for that money, and they would put them down while giving you full wifi streaming.
@@anxiousappliance those are pretty big tbh for what I'm looking. I want small, like 2.1 shitty logitech small.

LMAO, nice intro! How does it compare to the Neumi silk 4? ( other than powered vs passive )
6:33 unless they click on Honey just before checking out of course!
I wish we could unearth some cheap height channel speakers.
Golf ball dimples on wave guide!
Really doesnt measure that bad! I was surprised for sure!
Now for the Adam Audio desktop speaker
Yes, there are superior Pro-Audio speakers out there.
Wow , i am very suprised, x times cost so called hifi speakers doesnt offer this response.
Brilliant opener! LOLOLOLOL
Do you have a good recommendation for a near field? Arouns that $1000 price range. Was looking at KEF Concerto Meta.
How much did KEF paid you for this review?
They paid me approximately $26.75 to not do this review. I’m already getting cease and desist emails. 😂😂😛
Amazing.

Please review edifier m60s
I just bought a pair based on this rave review😂
ERIN URBAN GENTRY
😂😅😮😂
O.M.G.
If that intro don't get a like... then y'all don't like nothin'.
the cheap stuff measure very good and nobody measure them.
Erins finally lost it!
LOL.
Rear ported = hard pass (at least for my use case).
Why? Do you really have to place your speakers right up against the wall?
😂
what a bittersweet feeling… on the good side, it's nice to know that there's a new great speaker for that price range. on the bad side, i just bought the MR4 a few months ago and something better came up right after lol 🫠
