After running into a deal, I picked up 4x SL200II and am very happy even though there is no vmount battery option. The power is a minor inconvenience though. Great lights!
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema I agree I do some videos on budget cameras like the T31 and Nikon 1 and that is the message. Lighting is key. I have a couple amazon specials but they are not good and they change if that makes sense lol when I am editing and joining clips shot in the same environment the exposure is different lol I also noticed it doing stop motion some photos bright others darker. Love your stuff and remember 100k this year
Awesome review man. So interesting to see the 3 lights next to each other and the difference. Apparently, you have to quadruple the output to double the amount of light. So an 800W would be twice as bright as a 200W etc.
Still very few youtube reviewers talking about a rampant problem with the vl300 of the AC adapter clunking out, although user reviews are all saying it and the adapter itself is still on backorder at b&h...
I'm looking to upgrade some lights we have for the purpose of interviews as well as using them for portraits in a studio. Just wanted to see if the 300 or now the 300II is too much, not enough or just right for that type of situation. Thanks! Great video!
very nice tuto. I am new in video on z6ii and i need a led lighting. So, I would go for SL200wii. Would you advise the neewer softbox (173 euros) or the godox one (51 euros) in term of robustnes, easy install (i am not skill in installing rods,... quickly), light... ? sl200wii and these softbox bowens compatible ? I have some 65 and 85cm softbox for studio photo (magbox, godox, ezglow, westcott). Are they ok or do we need some special care for video to withstand 200W led power without burning ? Is it possible to make portrait photo (business portraits,...) with a sl200wii ? enough shutter speed at F4 and 200iso ? coming from V1, ad200pro and ad400 pro, i don't imagine how a led light behaves.
thank you for this video :) I have sl60w but I'd like to add a light and I don´t know which light to choose, I make makeup videos, I'll really appreciate you could answer me.
As always, excelent video... short and accurate. BTW, i have the Godox SL60w and the SL200ii (waiting for the SL100Bi) and two Luxceo P7RGB. Would yo do a review about the TL60 (i want the 4-pack) with some specs as the distance -Aperture, iso and shutter in camera- and the behavior of these. Saludos desde Chile, BEAST !!!

Honestly I haven't reached the light level yet but I still enjoyed the video and now I am armed with good information when I do buy lights. Thanks
Thank you Steve. Lights is almost the most important thing about filmmaking that's for sure

Hi. What is Jewel Lock? Thanks.
Can you do a light comparison between the Amaran 150c and 300c?
I'm really curious how VL300 would compare to SL300
Thanks for the video. Do you think the 300 coupled with a Godox lantern softbox would be sufficient for real estate and corporate video?
Great review but I don't have much budget for my fashion photography. Can you suggest if one sl200 mark 2 is better or 3 sl60 .

Great comparison Jason. Needed this. How would you compare this style of light to LED panels these days?
Led panels are great for smaller spaces without the need of modifiers. I personally prefer the COB lights these days like these three
its not an xlr, but rather a dmx cable
Good vlog
This is LED Monster!😃
Interesting, thank you. 👍
My pleasure!

Thank you for watching. I will eventually get to a video on the TL60! Fantastic tube lights and very very handy
I would like to see a video on filming in the 2 to 1 ratio and how to fake the anamorphic look. For us poor hobo youtubers...lol
