One of the best looking warband, sadly the changes in core rules worked against it. For example if core Quad requires you to mandatory move and attack then Chaos Legionnaires abilities would feel a little a little better. A battle trait besides the obvious advantage that was mentioned, it seems that it also has a small impact on the ability to plan the use of reactions in specific circumstances from turn to turn. I stand by what I wrote over a year ago about simple fixing of that warband: [Double] Shield Ram: Use existing wording from Compendium (Spire Tyrants or Slaves of Darkness), [Double] Brutal Strike: Use wording from Beheading Strike from Compendium (Soulblight Gravelords), [Triple] Headlong Charge: change to [Double]. Maybe a fix on the level of battle traits, like in addition to its original formulation also adding a warband symbol to the centaurion?
I largely agree with all of this. Honestly, if they just gave the Mutandor straight up Charge, I’d be happy. Centaurion getting the Legionnaires mark is something I’ve mentioned a few times when playing them. In a similar vein to how I would love to see the Mindstealer get the Cypher Lords Runemark
@@wargamesontoast Mutandor, triple Charge would flatten the output result - but just for fun, I can see Mutandor with his original tripple but maybe with +1 attack, you know with his 3 attacks you have still 42% for crit, and with 4 its around 52% chance for crit + of course a normal dmg. That would be IMHO nicer to play ;) Cypher Lords, I do still not like the sculpts, but I would not protest against that - such a change might trigger me to use sigmarines sprues for head bits ;)
One KILLER flaw :p Their bland ability set is what holds them back for me. Beyond Dark Pact, you’re basically just onslaughting and that doesn’t really open up much for tactical nuance sadly
Use other Chaos bespokes. In the game, they represent hidden cults that march with Chaos, basically any other bespoke Chaos warband fits the bill thematically. I've painted one unit but my second will be Iron Golems.
The state of your headset's slowly falling apart earmuffs makes me feel self conscious about my way overused own headset that look much worse. Weird thing to notice, but cheers.
I love these guys! I won my first match against seraphon the other day with the shield bash ability on a hail Mary play.
Sometimes you gotta do the Hail Mary XD

Wait I'm confused. I thought if the bladeborn faction had the same faction runemark you could use battle traits still. Have I been playing wrong?
Sorry, you are absolutely correct with that. Since Chaos Legionnaires don’t share Runemarks with any Bladeborn, they don’t get to use them.
ONE flaw? I'm intrigued. I always thought they had ONE good thing going for them.
One KILLER flaw :p

I probably need two boxes for AOS, I can’t get behind how they look. I want either chaos beasts or heavily armed marauders, I don’t like the mix
I love their style, but they have been rather divisive in the community. Some people hate them 😅

Always aim to please 😂
