    People complained at the 40mm and wanted a 35mm automatic; now they complain that the case isn't 37mm. Sometimes the customers are full of nonsense.

    • @monsieurjohnson24
      @monsieurjohnson24 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      I think people are mentioning 37mm as the one and only case size if they had it their way. They are probably feeling like that’s a happy medium or sweet spot overall. If the 40mm had articulating lugs, a lot of people probably would’ve been more satisfied.

      to be fair, 35mm is an absolutely stupid size. the original may be 35 but that doesn’t change the fact that it‘s ridiculously small.

      Tbh, 37mm is a universal sweet spot, while 35mm is reserved to women and dress watches.

  • @_sr
    @_sr ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Yeah.. 40 mm prx wears a little big for my 7inch (18 cm) wrist. I don't find it aesthetic when a watch covers the entire surface of my wrist end-to-end. I think this one will look much better. Will be definitely buying one !

    • @dimitrisbastas739
      @dimitrisbastas739 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Before i 've purchased mine 40mm powermatic, i worn a quartz 35mm. Ok fits perfect at my wrist, also 18 cm, but looked too small, almost feminine.

    • @_sr
      @_sr ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@dimitrisbastas739 that is the thing. I don't think smaller watches look feminine. That is something current trend is trying to dictate us. I like watches that are not compromised by the "comtemporary" trends and stand their ground of tradition and heritage. Like this 35 mm prx, or a 36 mm explorer ❤️..
      Just different tastes and angles we got when it comes to watches.. which is totally cool..

    • @dimitrisbastas739
      @dimitrisbastas739 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As concerns the explorer, at 36 looks good, but i would prefer at 39 mm. At 90s 35 to 38 was the trend. At 98 i 've ourchased a first gen overseas 37 mm. It has great fit, but with today trend also looks small.

    Been waiting months for this release, so glad it's finally here. The white mother-of-pear is the best one in my opinion. Even though I'm a man, the pear effect is subtle enough for it not to be an exclusively feminine watch. 100% gonna have to pick up this watch. Also, very nice review, concise and informative, keep it up.

      35mm is what the original seastar the PRX is based off was. For the majority of watch history the average man’s watch was no larger than 36mm. Also considering the 40mm wears much larger than a regular 40 it’s safe to say the 35mm will pull off the same trick

      That's exactly what it is with the PRX. The 40mm is good, but too large for some, and the 35mm fixes that issue for a good number of people. Of course there are always those who land in between and might be disappointed with both. Can't please everyone....
