Did you dial back the pressure as to not damage to cool deck?
No. When setting the pressure from the unloader it's set to not etch concrete or tear up cool decks. If you want less pressure the correct way is to swap out your surface cleaner nozzles to bigger ones. I don't do all that I rather just apply a hot mix and rinse with the gun when I come across a pealing pool deck
I did a pool once surface cleaned it small particular got into the pool causing the pool filters to clogged up i made sure that i spray away from the pool still clogged up filters what did i do wrong 😢
That's just an odd phenomenon. Pools have thousands of gallons of chlorinated water, a little dirty water getting in one should not clog no filters. I've been cleaning Pool decks for 4 years and never clogged a filter.
I've got a new one real soon first in the customer asked me is is the dirt and soap going to run into the pool most people told me they cannot it's hard to avoid that and I see in your videos that will be almost impossible what are your thoughts on that and what does a how much how much does a job like that normally pays
It's impossible to keep all of it out of the pool. Can't work and stop water at the same time that's not practical at all. Best thing to do is let the customer know this ahead of the service , 9/10 they'll be okay and realize that it's just physics. I don't give my prices on TH-cam sorry.

Absolutely not. It's one thing to get the pool totally jacked up with water vs just a little bit of the water getting in there. Pools have 8-10k+ of chlorinated water in them that little bit that gets in there will be gone in no time.
What do you mean when you day 5%. I'm a newbie and just trying to understand all the lingo.
SH comes in 12.5% and 10% concentration. We can spray it straight like that so we add water to it to bring the strength down to a more desirable level. so if you are have 10% SH And 10 gallon jug. 5% would be 50/50 so essentially 5 gallons of water to 5 gallons of SH.

The dirty water gets rinsed outside the cage and yes that's where the drains goes as well. That job took roughly 1hr 30mins fr0m pull up to leaving.

Sh is chlorine and chlorine is in the pool already. So nothing will happen, obviously you shouldn't blatantly push dirty water in the pool but of a little bit gets in its not the end of the world. The pool had 10k gallons of chlorinated water it will clear up quick
Forgive the ignorant question. Your solution is 5% of what? Bleach?
Not ignorant at all brother. 5% mix or 50/50 mix is half water half SH. So for instance if you have a 2 gallon pump sprayer to reach 5% you would do 1 gallon water and 1 gallon SH.

I see you spray alot of your solution and the Algae into the pool itself, instead of toward the outside to minimize the amount of contamination entering the actual pool itself Is their any particular reason for that?
No you dont see me spray the algae in the pool. I keep the pools as clean as possible if you watch all my videos. 2nd theres no contamination. what im spraying is SH which is pool chlorine which is in the pool already. That pool has 8-10k gallons of chlorinated water in it so theres nothing that will happen to the pool.

How much do you charge to clean pool cages.& the pool deck I’m in FL
Different parts of FL charge differently. Each market charges their own prices, some may be similar to others but it's not clear accross the board. For the pool cages and deck I normally charge by packages/bundles.

I dont charge by sq ft for pool decks. I charge a base rate. Anywhere from 150 to 300

I dont charge by square footage for pool cages and decks. I just do packages for those.

Hey brother. Yes most certainly can downstream it if it's not that bad. But if they are I'd go with a pump up sprayer with 3% mix

What methods did you use to keep majority of the dirty water from entering the pool
Clean the edge of the pool first. You can even tilt the surface cleaner to limit the dirty water entering the pool. Most of the time a little will get in there but its not a big deal. That little amount wont affect the pool at all.

Your explanation was easy to follow., and you do great work!! I am about to begin cleaning my deck here in Chicago. We don't have the mold and algae problem that you have in Florida but the decks can still get filthy. I've got at least 4-years of accumulated dirt around the deck. also I have a "no slip" covering that has begun to come up in different places so I have to b e careful not to blow this stuff off by accident.
Yes sir. I would definitely use a less aggressive nozzle to clean that. Maybe use your white colored nozzle that comes with your pressure washer. Thanks for watching

What do you do about dirtying the pool itself?
I dont get the pools dirty. Only thing that falls in are from cleaning the overhead beams but it's not enough to get a pool dirty. And when I clean the deck I start from the edge of the pool and work my way outwards so the dirty water doesn't go in the pool.

@@erickvolquez9071 Yea a little bit will get in there but not enough to disturb the pool. I mean a pool has so much water and chlorine in it a little bit of dirty water will get diluted by the time you leave there.

You put SH in pools anyhow. I ask customers to have the filter running myself because when you go around the edge the “chocolate milk” will get in the pool some. Otherwise there isn’t any adverse effects.
@Day 2 Day is correct, its the same chemical thats in the pool so it will not affect it.

SH is pool chlorine. You can buy it from pinch a pennybor any pool supply stores. It normally comes in 10% strength so if your pool deck isn't as bad as this video then just mix it 70% water and 30% chemical.

Wow, now that’s a dirty surface haha. Best way to get a before and after though! When you are measuring a house to get square footage, how do you accurately get the height? Length is easy but I’ve yet to find a good way to measure height on spot every time
I just use a default height and normally its not spot on lol. but its a foot on or off.. I dont go to the house and measure the square footage, I normally get that online through research and then adjust it.
