    It’s my current journal! I did get a couple of Midori travelers to try, regular and passport. But yeah the A5 Leuchtturm is a beauty, I love the paper even though it doesn’t like my Noodler’s inks.

      It ia great, and the only Noodler ink I've had any problem with is Apache Sunset. It takes for ever to dry.

      That's because Noodlers inks are rubbish. Bad for your pen too.

      @@WhiteRvssian2023I regret buying so much Noodler’s inks. Very inconsistent and does not work with some notebooks and pens. Never buying them again.

    My current journal is Endless with TRP. I have the Leuchttrum 1917 some lines a day for gratitude journaling. I'm trying out various notebooks with fp friendly paper with my journal choices. It's a fun adventure, but I suspect I'll gravitate to TRP in A5 if my budget allows. I also prefer a hard cover, but it isn't a deal breaker so far. I keep my journal in a leather cover so the elastic is nice but not needed, same for the index. If there isn't one I may make my own, but i do love the back pocket.

      I'm on my last pages of my 1917 journal and the next one will be an Endless. I've used it before and it's a great journal.

    The red dots version are nice, too. A break from the grey dots.

    For many years I used Moleskine for journaling without any bleeding - now they seem to bleed to the point of making the other side unusable. I’m currently using an onion skin journal that’s fantastic with fountain pens but I’m going to try the Leuchtturm for my next journal - onion skin journals are too expensive.

      I used Moleskins too but the paper must have changed. They don't seem as good as they one were. I really like Leuchtturm. Has everything I need and like in a journal.

    Soft Cover lays flatter. Have them in A5 and B5 for sketching with fountain pens and dilute ink washes with Pentel Pocket Brushes. Rising Sun - R&K sketchINK Black-WP for cartooning, Pacific Green - Birmingham Ink Co Tailing Pond for anatomical studies, and Stone Blue - Diamine Prussian Blue for architecture.

    Agree, these are awesome notebooks. They also make the 120gsm which are now my favorite notebooks!

      I'll have to try the 120gsm.

    I love, love, love this notebook! I just wish the paper were a smidge better b/c it is just passable, but not great for fountain pens for me. I'm looking at the 120g version but that may be too thick. Decisions, decisions... lol.

      It is a good book, and I've not had any problems with the paper yet. The Endless Recorder notebook is another one I like.

      @@PEIPenGuy Like the other girl stated Noodler's, specifically 54th Massachusetts for me, seems to have problems with the paper. I'll look into The Endless Recorder thanks for the recommendation.

    These are the ones I use for keeping track of my work notes. I do use the lined ones though, but I'll try the dotted next time. Love these notebooks.

    I'm very tempted to try a Leuchtturn notebook but I have 4 pristine Midori notebooks on my shelf as well as the Apica notebook that I am currently using for journaling. I really like Midori paper as well as Apica's. How would you compare Leuchtturn's paper to Midori's as well as to Apica's should you have experience with theirs. Thanks for sharing.

    • @PEIPenGuy
      @PEIPenGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm currently using a Midori as a journal and enjoy the paper; however, some inks, such as Noodler's Apace Sunset, take longer to dry in the Midori than in the Leuchtturm. What I really like about Leuchtturm are the little things like numbered pages, a table of contents, and an accordion file at the back.

    • @catwhisperer911
      @catwhisperer911 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PEIPenGuy Yup. Both Midori's and Apica's offerings are quite spartan when compared to other manufacturers offerings. I do really miss not having an accordion or even just a plain folder. I've never personally desired numbered pages but I can understand how they would be desirable to those that index their journals.Thanks again for sharing your experience with this notebook.

    Do you write with braod nibs in this note book? I find that they tend to feather a bit with broad nibs

      @PEIPenGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use fine or medium nibs mostly. I've never really like broader nibs.
