Just a new subscriber and new to caravans i found this really well explained other videos can be confusing thank you for sharing please can you do more videos 👌👏
Ooh that's a great question 🤔 I am a huge Milenco Grand Aero fan because of the view they provide, and the newest version has the best grip pads (I'm not sponsored by Milenco BTW!) I like that they are fully adjustable for any width of caravan and can be mounted on the top or bottom of the mirror. As to whether I prefer flat or convex glass.... that is all down to personal choice. I like flat glass because I feel I can judge the distance behind me (and other vehicles overtaking me) better. But I have towed with both with no problems. The next best brand for me are EMUK. These are made for 8ft wide caravans and fit German manufactured cars perfectly. If you're towing a standard width caravan, you will need to shorten the bar because you will be exceeding the legal width of your unit. Towing mirrors must need extend more than 20 cms beyond the widest part of the outfit.
I generally stop 2 feet out, and 2 feet pass the pitch. I prefer a more gradual manoeuvre, and this allows me to do that. It's not wrong to line the caravan wheel, but you will need to complete a tighter turn, and you will end up more in the middle of the pitch
THANKS ❤ Starting to realise the more i practice and the slower i go, the less stressful for all 😊
The slower you go, the more accurate you are! I'm glad the practice is paying off 😀

When i stop at a pitch, i line up the caravan wheel with the edge of the ptich, is this correct?
