I just tried it on the local administrator account and it reset it to a blank password (Windows 10). You still get a password prompt box but you should just leave it blank. If you are doing that and its still not working then maybe its a Windows XP thing. They have a support email as well support@lazesoft.com
@@OnlineComputerTips Hey thanks for that and there was another Local Admin account which it changed to blank so perhaps this is something different. I shall try again and see what I can do. Perhaps I can remove the Admin account from the 2nd one or at least change the password. I did try when it left the password field but it did want a password. I did use the XP 32bit password removal file for making the USB drive so I will just have to try the option I mentioned above. I will update when I get back to it.

is a complete and reliable software solution that pays off when you fix boot and crash errors caused by virus infection or file corruption, recover files from your hard drive, back up your entire hard drive or partitions, and perform a reset of your Windows password.

I'm not sure if it will read an external USB hard drive as a flash drive if that is what you mean. If you are using just a flash drive it should work unless it cant read your flash drive for some reason.
@@christianwtf2960 It might not work if you are using a RAID controller. When booting to a Windows disk, many times you need to supply the RAID\controller driver and I'm not sure how or if you would do it with this type of boot disk.
If you are just resetting your password then no. I cant guarantee that the data recovery, disk clone or Windows recovery is 100% safe but they should be fine too.
Will this work with Windows Vista? The administrator account is disabled and is not optional on initial login screen. I can't remember my old password. This is not a free solution, if you download the free version you will be asked to buy the software in order to do the password recovery. Typical bait and switch.
You probably lost 80% of the people watching your video, by having to do the VMWARE setup. Not EVERYONE is a tech, and will get lost doing this VMWARE environment. If I had been making this video, I would have just used another computer to film, and inserted the LAZESOFT bootable thumb drive into it, and hit F9 to choose the boot device, and when LAZESOFT started, just choose to remove the password, then rebooted that computer, taking out the LAZESOFT thumb drive, when rebooting, and you would end up at the Desktop of the computer you removed the password on. DONE
Who said anything about VMware being free? Plus the video has nothing to do with VMware. The video demonstrates how you can reset your password to a blank password for FREE and mentions that you can buy the software if you want extra features. We are not getting anything from the company from this video, so I don't get the negative comment 🤷♂️
