This tutorial demonstration is done using a Windows 7 VMware virtual machine and Hiren's BootCD .iso file. It is easy to follow along and test out on your home computer system.

I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to learn about forgotten password windows try Ichordo Windows Code Fixer(should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my cousin got cool results with it.
the newest version of Hiren's Boot CD has a Windows 10 Preinstalled Environment, and more if not updated utilities.

I followed your instructions as you show in the video. After my laptop booted from the usb flash, it started to work, but after the "Switching to clocksource pit" it crashed. Any idea what to do it so? I use win10, maybe this is the problem?
here from the future of 2023 we have windows 11 and im in IT work using Ventoy ive made a multi iso boot disk and this is still a very common tool so i indeed will learn how to use this program

Would this program work to reset a supervisor password?
Startup repair and renaming cmd.exe to sethc.exe and the net user command works too if for some reason you dont have the boot CD
Will this work if you create the bootable USB on one laptop, for example, but use it on a different laptop? Both are win 7. Thank you 🤓

im trying to use this on the windows server 2003 and I cant get it to boot from disk or usb. I went into the bios and changed the boot order and still nothing. I can look at all the files on the system though on the other computer that I am trying to get this to run on. any thoughts

if you are using a physical PC you need to burn the .iso file into a USB drive or a bootable CD by using Rufus (or other burning softwares) . PS - Hiren's boot CD is too good to real but it is real !

hi dan. i have heard that using hiren boot cd may cause os to crash. is there any risk involved.?
booting to hirens does nothing to the os how ever there is some dangerous apps in hirens so don't mess with apps that you don't know what they do

Any chance this would work on a Windows 8.1 machine? I have a friend from church who is locked out of his 8.1 machine and doesn't want to loose his data. Please advise.
I tried it a number of times and it worked but in this case, i cou[ld not find Disk /dev/sdc containing the information on CANDIDATE WINDOWS PARTITION so i can select as 1 or 2 depending. so what should I do?

Hey There. I've done this before, but I came across a device that it doesn't show any windows partitions where you're selecting 2 in your video. I know it reads the OS, because if I turn on the computer it boots to the login screen for Windows. Any ideas why it's not seeing the candidate windows partition?
Mine did the same thing, the only one it showed was my thumb drive lol!! Did not work on that computer but it worked on my wife's computer, showed the other two and i picked the biggest one (2) and it worked fine. So i guess it works on some and not on others...think has to do with what each individual computer allows you to see by the way it is set up!

Good! It is neither USB or CD/DVD it directs boot from ISO Images.
