- I 100% completed Scarlet and Violet base set or SV1, it only took me 11 months! Woof. Watch as I explain my experience in collecting Pokémon cards to finish my first master set of a mainline release.

Last year I completed my Lost Origin masterset, I pulled the giratina early on in my collecting journey and it set me on such a fun side of the hobby that I extremely enjoyed
The Girantina!! Man, it’s always the sickest pulls in the beginning that set you off. I love lost origin too, so many cool and playable cards

I'm slowly working on 151. I'm also working on collecting a bunch of packs to do a massive opening at some point with hopefully a bunch of different sets in it
Nothing beats a pack opening day. Maybe I should do that with 151. That set has burned me so much it discourages me from buying packs now haha
I just started collecting, but I am interested in doing a complete set of paradox rift and eventually temporal forces.
If I were to do any other set right now, paradox would definitely be it. I love all of the cards in the set. It’s such a large set too

I haven’t mastered any set yet, but I typically open 2 booster boxes, an ETB, and random packs from collection boxes. I’m guessing this gets me about 70% of a master set. Probably better to buy singles at that point (kind of like you did). I am getting close to mastering Obsidian Flames, so might work on that over the next few months (missing that SIR Zard though unfortunately).
That’s how it was with me and Celebrations! Commit!!! Although, that Zard would make me hesitate haha
If you ever decide to play, you get a ton of packs for winning. My store is $6 entry and I usually top 4 so I get about 10 packs a week for $12.
I’m doing my first master set for 151 and I’m def at the buying to fill in stage lol. But I do hope I can trade some duplicates 🙏. I’m getting pretty close to being done but the full arts are killing me. I also am missing some of the SIR like blastoise and venusaur 🪦
We got this! Literally, I’m pretty close to the buying singles stage. I haven’t had much luck, had one god pack. Good enough for me. Although that SIR Charizard makes me want to pull it even more
