    The Stanley that came in 2nd place behind the CAT in performance, has a more powerful version called the Stanley SHP2150. It has an upgraded wand like your cat in addition to being more powerful than the version Project Farm tested which performed 77% of the CATs performance. So obviously the Stanley SHP2150 being more powerful would be even closer, if not on par with your CAT. I've asked Project Farm to test them next time. He is due for another retest anyways on these.

    I just received my Cat 1800 today! I was replacing a Greenworks 2000 psi 1.2 gpm unit that I was running 3.0 orifice tips on to get about 1000 psi. All I can tell you is there is no comparison between the Cat and my Greenworks. I washed two of my cars after getting it and used my foam cannon that barely foamed with the Greenworks and a 1.1 orifice. I put the 1.25 orifice back in it used less soap and had shaving cream foam!! Rinse off was amazing with the flow from this machine! Thanks!! Best investment ever!!

    Is the pump in the cat 1800 the same as the one in the active v52 or is it the same as the pump in the 2.0?
    In the past the Cats durability came into question. That seems to be addressed with active 2.0 pump.
    Otherwise I'm sold on this powerwasher.

    Bottom line for me is, I'm tired of paying ANYTHING for crap that doesn't do the task for which it's intended is like wanting a wrench, but since it's expensive, buying a hammer instead. I like to know the best and not what I need to trade in quality for cost. If I want to spend less money, I just won't buy a pressure washer. The Cat is the right choice for me.

      Hi there. There must have been a misunderstanding. Performance is similar on both the Active 2.0 and CAT 1800. The difference lies in that the Active 2.0 offers a longer lifecycle and durability, and is a more compact unit.

      @@ACTIVEPRODUCTS received it yesterday ! So it came in 3 days from New York to South Carolina. It was packed well no damage. Used it this morning, washed my car. Excellent psi excellent gpm. Looks well made. A little louder than the adams pressure 2.0 that I was using but way better performance so that’s fine. Didn’t use the supplied hose and wand. I have the mtm hydro Acqualine gun and wand with a 50 foot Kobrajet hose that mated up perfectly. Swivel hose end and swivel gun end. I found that I liked the 4.0 Mtm hydro orifice a little more gpm than the supplied ones. Also tried an Uberflex 50 foot hose that seemed to reduce the pressure not sure why. But the Kobrajet is my go to. It never tripped my 15 amp breaker. It never over heated. Well pleased. Well worth the $225.00. So anyone in the market for an auto cleaning POWERHOUSE for $225.00 run don’t walk to order one now. Way better than the Adams pressure washer 2.0. @Imjoshv Josh Vanderwaall on TH-cam is where I saw the best reviews on the cat and the active models. And my mtm 22.2 foam cannon makes shaving cream foam also better than the Adams. Thanks @Active Products for an awesome tool.

    No doubt about the active quality but trust me I got much better performance from a cheap Chinese brand by just adding a 4.0 green tip, originally comes with a variable tip which I also don't like it either. Flow increased from 6.2 LPM to 7 LPM and the pressure dropped from 150 bar to around 100 bar which definitely isn't correct. So if the pressure is exaggerated by 35% on the dial , I think it's not a bad performance.

    • @ACTIVEPRODUCTS
      @ACTIVEPRODUCTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Syed - thanks for your considered response. Respectfully speaking, unless you are writing from a country where you are using a 240V circuit or using a commercial circuit, the numbers you quote are not technically achieveable. 7LPM is 1.85gpm and 100bar is 1450psi using a 4.0 nozzle - this would put it into cam shaft pump territory which is a completely different design. We have visited and tested product from virtually every pressure washer manufacturing facility in China and we are confident our patented 5 Piston design produces performance figures nobody can come close to for the money. Perhaps you'd like to share details of your testing protocols, equipment and set up and we can work together to figure out what actual performance numbers you're seeing!

      @@ACTIVEPRODUCTS thanks for your professional response and the information shared.
      1. Much better performance in my comments doesn't mean it's better than active.
      2. I'm from 220-240 V, 50 Hz region.
      3. I'm not saying it's actually 100 bar and 7LPM, It's to my understanding will be around 65bar.
      4. A good quality tip makes a big difference and I also checked on 5.0 nozzle where the pressure dropped significantly and one can feel it. Unfortunately I don't have alternative pressure gauge but based on my experience of using both domestic and industrial machines I can feel and understand the pressure of above 60bar.
      5. Considering all this, 65 bar, 7LPM are not bad figures .I personally checked the flow and the cleaning capability of the machine with these figures and believe me they were quite good.
      6. The machine is IDEAL SR-210 also sold under JPT brand in India.
      Regards

    • @ACTIVEPRODUCTS
      @ACTIVEPRODUCTS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello - the key point of your response is that you’re from a 220-240V, 50HZ region. As pointed out, this lets you see performance figures far higher than anything in North America. So you are correct, in this instance - almost any cheap pressure washer THERE would outperform the Active HERE. However, given the same power inputs we would do much better!

      @raza061 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ACTIVEPRODUCTS I really appreciate your openness on the topic and I'm learning a lot from you guys. I am from Pakistan and usually many used electronics from 110V regions arrive here . @@raza061, seriously doubt you got better performance from a cheap Chinese brand. In addition, a quality built product uses quality parts and workmanship, while the cheap ass knock off competitors use cheap knock off parts, thus limiting the longevity. I also see comments about the power button malfunctioning. I'm not sure if these were happening on older versions of the power washer? Also apparently the warranty in Canada is a parts and repair warranty only. There is no refunds. Any comments on these concerns? I don’t know what lavalier mic you’re using, but if it’s omnidirectional (which it most likely is) it’s picking up sound in a 360° pattern, meaning it’s specifically picking up sound in the direction of the walls/floor (i.e. all the reflections). A shotgun mic position just at the top of the video frame, as close to you as you can get, pointed roughly toward your collarbone, should produce a much nicer sound.
      Sennheiser MKH416 is among the best out there at only around $1,000. Rode NTG3 at $700 also a good option. But honestly most shotgun mics around $250-400 will also give you drastic improvement.

    Without a doubt, the CAT was the best. However, allow me to show you how myself and many other of my guy friends think...
    The CAT was undisputably the best. Now looking at price to performance, the Stanley performed at 77% of the CAT performance, for 43% of the CATs cost. This is what we call the "bang for buck" winner. Per dollar, the Stanley outperforms the CAT.
    However, their spray gun tip borderline makes me want to move to the CAT. If Stanley changes to a individual tip design, I would go Stanley hands down.

      I understand the logic of what you are saying. However, it’s not quite correct. I don’t believe consumer product valuations are boiled down to these types of dollar for dollar analysis because simply, if the CAT satisfies your needs (ie, better cleaning, faster coverage, etc) then it may be “worth” it to you. We do this type of analysis when designing product as well, and we certainly take it into account.

    IMJOSHV made up my mind with his review of you guys, but was very glad Project Farm eased my mind even more just days after I bought it by testing pressure washers and was glad to see you guys were the best. He does great, concise fair reviews and testing of products, my go to for nearly everything I buy. And yes, we watch and thank you!!
