I love how this song adds to the chaotic, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON" vibe of this battle, ESPECIALLY if you're a long-time Kirby fan and recognize what Star Dream actually is
Yeah Ik lol

Clockwork star a go go!
"Holy shit is that NOVA?!"
One thing I love about Star Dream is his countdown and what happens in the case he reaches zero. It tried to grant a wish, but he fails and make a huge error message. We can interpretate to two things.
1-He is trying to make the wish to defeat Kirby, but as it is an imperfect version of Nova, he isn't capable to grant certain wishes.
2-My favorite , is that he is using Haltmann memories and he is trying to grant him the wish of his daughter to be back, but as that imposible because she already went back, it enters on a stage of huge error for that incoherency.
According to Canon, it's the *Latter*
I had no idea that happened i thought the numbers didn't mean anything
That makes sense, considering the song loop ends with a "HEALTH BAR REFILLING"@@GearHead36
Doesn't that make the tech accidentaly self-aware?
@@CodeKirby Very probably Star Dream was a self aware AI ,hence thats why It was discarted and replaced by Nova, same as why It corrupted Haltmann to mechanize every Planet, knowing that before SD Haltmann and his company had kind intentions.

Fun fact: Shinya Kumazaki (the director of Kirby Planet Robobot) used his pet cat named "Tom" to voice Star Dream, so that's why it sounds like a cat. Hirokazu Ando (the composer of Kirby series) used his pet chicken to make noises for Star Dream's weathercock.
Always had the headcanon that Kirby isn't the one flying the Halberd. He's just using the Combo Cannon + Robobot inhale, and that its Meta Knight and his crew doing all the driving.

@diamondmemer9754 I don't know, man. That seems like a stretch
Man, what a final boss theme. Like many other final boss themes in the Kirby series, this... this is just too good. Having the composers take the title theme and turn it into something much more was a genius decision, HAL.
Along with putting in Nova’s theme from Super Star in it. I’ve always loved that because well, the final boss is a Nova.
Along with the main menu theme being a big remix of the games main theme as well as the first couple second of sky tower
I think phase 1 is called “P.R.O.G.R.A.M.”
@@jackhumphries1087 That's a bit of a misconception with this track; according to WiKirby, the first phase of this track is indeed called Vagrant Counting Song Of Retrospection. I won't fault you too hard for not knowing, though.
@@Poyostar huh, yea I guess the leitmotif of phase one is present in the song
I love how you can just faintly hear the original Galactic NOVA theme in the background at 1:38, and how it's worked into the song as a motif at 2:19. Details like that are one of the things that make this franchise's music so satisfying to listen to.

@@bananawaffledee4022 Maybe we have similar taste in music :)
This came on on Spotify and I felt like going to a TH-cam video of it to see people's comments and leave my own. It's just so great. The way it starts out like a slightly calmer version of the title screen music, but then it changes. When it gets to the part where the title screen music loops, it instead goes back to a different part but much more dramatically. When it reaches the looping point again, it beaks into a distorted remix of Heart of Nova, but if you listen closely, the heartbeat-like rhythm of Heart of Nova is present throughout the entire piece of music. There's so much more about this song that I could praise, but this comment is long enough.
To this date and after playing the forgotten land I can still say that this is my favorite final boss of the series, I mean, how the game and the battle itself built up to this moment, I still remember clearly the instant when I found out that star dream was a nova all the time, it was amazing!!!
(Don’t get me wrong, I also love the forgotten land’s final boss, and the music there is in fact my favorite final boss theme, but this one is so close to that one)

3:56 basically if nova was a keyboard cat
I love how the intro is so full of wonder and curiosity, as if the player is taking a moment to process the true nature of Star Dream and feeling that pang of nostalgia at the realization. Then as the synth's pitch descends, the player is slowly taken back to the reality of the situation. This Nova, a *wish-granting machine,* is hell-bent on sterilizing the entire universe.
The best part of this track for me is the callback to Heart of Nova from Milky Way Wishes. It's perfect as both bosses take place in space against a machine.
Not just any machine. A clockwork star
Especially at 3:34. The song merges with the original song to *really* remind you about the original fight
Jeez this fight was hard, but it at least shows us that some hard fights in Kirby games could actually be fun.
who will win
an ancient super computer with all the knowedge of the universe or a pink boi
2:43 a toaster dings, machinery is complicated, even a simple toaster is given special details to stand out from other toasters, for wish granting super clocks, just give it a counting song ;)
man too bad you have to play the entire true arena to fight against the heart, i loved that fight
Who else had their jaw drop the first time they heard the opening theme at the beginning?
imo robobot has the best soundtrack in the kirby series
If Miraitowa and Someity (mascots for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics/Paralympics) had a boss fight theme, this would work perfectly when you fight both or one of them. Also don't forget about Miraity (a semi-official Miraitowa/Someity fusion design), that theme would work for it too for all of the same reasons.
So I'll tell you why it works. So basically, the first thing that works is the instruments used, the instruments are all synths and futuristic ones. This fits in Robobot's futuristic theming. What else has futuristic themes? That's right! Miraitowa and Someity! While this fact is a lesser known one about them, Miraitowa and Someity actually live in the digital world and can move freely between that place and the real world through the internet and vice versa. This is shown in their debut trailer where we got to see that these are specific areas in cyberspace and how going to the real world looks like. As seen in the same trailer, they leave trails of what appears to be a digital substance when doing things like moving really fast.
The second reason is how important it sounds. Star Dream is a powerful computer with god like powers (especially when it fuses with what appears to be it's missing half and is revealed to be a planet sized Nova). The Halberd Mode Robobot Armour is MICROSCOPIC compared to Star Dream in this phase! The Olympics is one of (if not) the most well known and oldest sporting event still running today. Unlike other sporting events, it started off in ancient Greece but later got revived and modernised. Not to mention that back then, it was associated with the Greek Gods! Miraitowa and Someity seem to have things reminisient of Gods in their things. The debut trailer and Are You Ready animations had Godly music, their logos shined in a very Holy way in their debut trailer and Japan sacrified their electricity supply to make pixel art of them appear on a building (not for bad reasons but for good reasons) in the debut trailer. This electricity sacrifice is reminisient of a religious sacrifice to a God. It's unknown if Miraitowa and Someity are actual Gods or it's that their Olympic status makes them similar to that but regardless of which one is true, it will still work anyways. This is because Miraitowa and Someity have powers. Both can move extremely fast, teleport, are experts at physical combat and Olympic sports and can go to cyberspace. Miraitowa can create illusionary duplicates of itself (I think and even if I misremebered, it will still probably be able to learn how to do anyways) and scream very loud. Someity is capable of telepathy, telekinesis, flight without wings and talking to wind and stones. Due to these powers, it'll be hard for anybody to fight at least one of them without losing before landing a single blow.
The third reason is how chaotic it is. I'd imagine a fight between at least one of them being very chaotic. It'll have extremely fast movement, limited time to land a blow, teleportation, and teleport spam. Don't forget they can use their other powers they don't share to find more ways to make the fight harder. This theme truly encapsulates the chaos and difficulty of a fight against Miraitowa, Someity, or both of them.
The fourth reason is that it gives of a mysterious vibe. As cool as they are, we don't know what Miraitowa and Someity are supposed to be. Are they gods? Are they individuals of a species? What species are they? We don't know the science behind their powers. We don't know what Miraity is meant to be. We don't know what the purpose of the ritual shown in the debut trailer. This song can suit the existance of all of those mysteries regarding them.
Of course they'd need an original boss fight theme because they are not Galactic Novas. If somebody wants to compose a boss fight theme for them or one of them, then you should use this song as inspiration. You should incorperate futuristic instruments, important, chaotic and mysterious vibes to it much like this song has. It doesn't need to be fast as this song works perfectly despite it being at a medium speed. The song should be medium speed at least.
