I turn 70 in August and have lived thru 6 decades of music. The 50s I was too young to remember. From the mid-sixties on every decade was unique and original. There are so many great artists and bands that it’s maddening to pick a favorite. I asked a friend a couple days ago who his all time greatest group is and without hesitation he said the Beatles and though he picked my second number one has been and always will be Pink Floyd. The day of my funeral I want “Wish you were here”played!!

I recently had a heart attack, two days later when my heart surgeon performed heart catheterization I requested that he play Comfortably Numb while putting me out for the procedure. N that they play Pink Floyd while cleaning out my Three blocked arteries. The catheterization n 3stents later, no damages from the heart attack. I figured if while that wire was in my chest should something go wrong I would already be in heaven whilst listening to the music that soothes the soul, heart n brain. Thanks to Pink Floyd for seeing me thru some of the scariest moments of my life.

@@YoupunkAP Yes I am very glad to be here. It's funny what a brush with death can do. Music sounds better, Life is giving me a second chance. Just this week I realized Rite Aid Pharmacy screwed up a prescription of mine. They put my blood thinners in the muscle relaxers bottle and the muscle relaxers in the plavix bottle, so I wasn't taking the blood thinners for two weeks. N with stents in my heart I need to be on blood thinners. My cardiologist n my PCP both are going to go after the Pharmacist Job. It was just lucky that I caught the mistake. N luckily my heart is ok. But I must go back October 6th to have another stent put in another artery that 75% closed. Luck is definitely with me lately.

You know I tend to agree but what I would give to be able to the Zepplin show in 75 which was my first concert. Skynyrd just a few months before the crash, and deep Purple any time the original group was together. They were so fucking loud. Maybe Humble Pie as well in 75. Or any of the stadium shows in the mid to late 70s where there is virtually nothing that would indicate they ever happened on film. My buddies in a great little band called Point Blank were incredible but there is virtually no video of them anywhere from the 70s. .Phones would have allowed someone other than the midnight special archives to show us what rock was back in the day, but I agree, no one watches shows any more they take them home with them and that's why crowds are dead these days.

@@zombywoof1015 you’re absolutely right. I’m a drummer and when I started learning to play I studied mason because his beats were pretty basic. When I got older I realized the man can play so much more but he plays only what the song needs and doesn’t show off. Very underrated drummer for that reason

Now with CV-19 I'm a high risk candidate with an immune deficiency, nerve disorder from diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. so I have been in self quarantine now since March 2020, it's been a steady dose of isolate, medicate and Pink Floyd. 😎🎶✈🚀🌒✌👍

@@stevefrenchize Thanks dude. Music is great medication by itself, several Dr's prescribed the full spectrum CBDs which goes well together most days to at least lighten my spirits, reliving some really good times in my younger years. Doing it day by day now - a lot of lost time in the last 30 yrs trying to figure out why I did not feel well - a small area of cancer in a bad space took me out. Mentally feeling well, physically another matter as the collateral damage is irreversible. Currently getting new exoskeleton fitted to compensate for the structural damage to the endoskeleton - ie getting full leg braces both legs - kind of like the polio braces of day old. Simple personal mobility is the next goal, sitting in a chair most of waking hours is driving me crazy. Sometimes I actually forget I need leg braces and stand up and try to take a step, then quickly reminded why that's not a practical thing to do. Great to see great music lovers, lovin great music. Stay safe and keep your family safe as we head into maybe the worst 6 months of the CV19 spread. And make sure to vote - YOUR VOTE = YOUR VOICE. Only one chance to voice your opinion this year on or before Nov 3 2020.

Hello and a very "Good Day" to the whole World!
It isn`t an essential necessity to be a "Floyd Fan", but people let me express it in my own way:
    "It sure helps 🤩😎🤗😍🥰😘🥳!
Me, living the last few weeks before turning 62, sitting here, enjoying another mug of coffee, listening to this ingenius gem of music at kind of a moderate volume (my wife`s in homeoffice), but realising this could be the first time listening to it again perceive the words of the lyrics fully concentrated, makes me loving "The Floyd" all over once again!
Thank you for each and every "Floydian Masterpiece"!
Greetings, Love, Peace, Belief and God bless!

Teraz som už dôchodca a stále ste moja jednotka. Vďaka terajším technológiám si to konečne užívam a vychutnávam v plnej miere. Prajem všetkým veľa,veľa ZDRAVIA. (:

The lights go off. Everyone's had more than enough to eat, properly stoned, someone puts on the vinyl. It's dark. Everyone's lying around on the floor. They know what's coming. Soothingly slow, relaxing. Then TIME. The MOANS. By the time it's Great Gig people are going nuts. You can't see the others but you know, you just know.
Someone thankfully gets up and turns the vinyl over. The spooky 7/4 and Gilmour's piercing guitar, every note exactly where you want it, where it's supposed to be, no notes there you don't want either, everyone knows it by heart, every note.
Towards the end. Us and them and after all we're only ordinary men...
    The Wednesday last week.

This generation is too involved in electronic techno music and aren't making anything good in the way of good Lep Zep, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Rolling Stones, Even Country Music is boring. None of the C&W artists can come close to what Bob Dylan & Neil Young's careers brought forth .

From 1966 to 1970, Pink Floyd used a wider variety of sounds than likely any other band. In 1971 they figured out how to separate (and use only) the sounds that the human body feels. This is why almost all PF tunes from 71-79 take souls for a ride, like a beautiful drug.
