    Of course you should come to Hamburg. And if you had checked the Miniatur Wunderland channel on YT, you would know that a lot(!!!) has happened since the four-year old video you commented on. It's all out there for everyone to see...except for being there, which is yet a totally difference experience.

    Sir, you will enjoy it, Iraly is finished as well, on the other side of the canal Patagonia, the drakebay and Antarktika. Monaco will soon follow including a F1 race track with miniature race cars.
    Hamburg itself is also nice.
    Be safe.

    I was there. It is absolutely worth it. The flow of the crowd might make you rush a little and some of your companions might be a bit impationt sometimes but I can stress this sentence enough: TAKE. YOUR. TIME. when you are there.
    Not only have they implemented a day and night cycle, where the entire scenary littearly changes. But you can also interact with the world at many instances. Some times others are pressing the buttons. Some events are time sensitive some are even scripted and don't happen all the time.
    and even if you don't do anything and just admire the shear size of all of that, do not, and i mean it, do not just jump around. The longer you look at something, the more details and secrets you may find.
    If you ask me, I would say, if it takes you 3 or 4 hours to go through it, you definitely have a good impression but you did not "took your time". On the other hand, I would bet that even multiple visits aren't enough to see everything.
    But IF you ever have the oportinity, take that chance.

    I just came back from Germany like a week ago, and these videos don't do this place justice. So massive and so detailed. I more than highly recommend this place, and with all the fun things you can in Germany, this will be one of the things that truly will blow your mind.

  • @olli1068
    @olli1068 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Other people have already written this in the comments, but I will repeat it once more, so you have no excuse not to do it after your second reaction to it: Take a trip to Hamburg and visit the Minitatur Wunderland! Go there by train, although the Deutsche Bahn is not famous for being on time.
    Once you are in Hamburg, you can go everywhere by public transport. The tram and subway network is great and many attractions are just a short walk apart. From the central train station to the MiWuLa it's less than half an hour - walking!

    • @tillneumann406
      @tillneumann406 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While I agree with you on all other aspects, there is no tram in Hamburg. The last line was discontinued in 1978. But you still get around quite nicely, and I usually walk from the Central Station to MiWuLa...like twenty minutes or so, enjoying the Speicherstadt on the way.

    • @olli1068
      @olli1068 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tillneumann406 Ok, I used the wrong term. It's not a tram, it's a "suburban railway".

      @@olli1068 No problem, and thanks for correcting this. I still remember driving behind the last trams going to university in my 1971 VW beetle for the first two semesters and then...no more. Just the No. 5 bus instead.

    Since your Living in Germany you probably have the 49€ Deutschland Ticket. Hamburg is worth a Weekend Trip. Great City with lots of Sightseeing. Hamburg Dungeon is also worth visiting alongside the Miniature Wunderland. I visit Hamburg Frequently also because Hamburg is considered Germany's Capital for Musicals.

    I would be honored if you visited us in Germany. I would personally guide you through Miniatur Wunderland. But according to the current status in 2023, you need 3-4 days to see the entire Miniatur Wunderland.😁 There are now 2 warehouses connected by a glass bridge. The trains travel from one warehouse over the glass bridge to the other warehouse. Formula 1 is racing in Monaco. And you can also shrink yourself and experience Wonderland live as a figure using virtual reality.😇

    It's absolutely worth it! Even without the MIWULA the city of Hamburg is a must see. Take your time. You probably will need the whole day in there. Combine it with a Harbour tour and get yourself a fish sandwich, I recommend Krabbenbrötchen (shrimp sandwich) or my personal favorite Fischfrikadellenbrötchen (fish cake sandwich) with raw onions.

      The last time I was there (in May, I believe) Monaco was pretty much finished but still behind glass walls because those guys had decided that they won't officially open it until their grand plan of having a functioning Monte Carlo Formula I race works out. The buildings were there, the race cars weren't. But they have all that on their YT channel.

    Been there several times over the years and it's worth it for sure. Impressiv as it may be, this video does not live up to the real deal. In reality it's way more impressive. And as others already said: Take your time, several hours at least. If you go, you can (and probably should) book tickets in advance online, which saves (sometimes rather long) waiting time at the entry. And yes, besides the Miniatur Wunderland, the city of Hamburg is a worthwhile travel destination in its own right.

      So what? Just today, I bought two "rumpsteaks" (sirloin steaks) at my local butcher, and they were excellent and sourced regionally and definitely worth it. But still each of it cost 15 euros. A day at Miniatur Wunderland is definitely worth more than that. But then, I have a year ticket for MiWuLa, so I don't have to spend 6 or 7 hours there every time just to make the entrance fee worthwhile, but can just go there for an hour or two when I feel like it.
