Thank you SO much for this video. Windows Mail recently refused to sync my primary email address after working problem free for over a year. So I was forced to start looking for a new solution.

I was sold on EM until you said thunderbird opens mails in tabs. It's so simple yet so convenient. Seriously why aren't other mail apps doing this??

Cmon.. Thunderbird looks, runs, feels and plays like a 2008 email.

Mailbird doesn't have sort by sender or when an email arrives it doesn't show the email address, just the name the sender chose ( I nearly got scammed because of this)

I have Windows live mail (WLM) with 10 years worth of mail, 17 Gb of it. I cant get WLM to work properly of win10, so i need to switch to something else.
Is there a way to transfer all the mail (EML files) with attachments to a new client? It needs to be absolutely reliable, no mail can be wasted. It needs to have easy way to backup the mail and import it back if needed. With WLM i just copy folder with mail for backup and put it back if needed. Setting up WLM after reinstalling win7 was a breeze. Need something like that.

Love your presentation, very calm and direct also good honest vibes.. Currently using EMClient but would rather use Mailbird, but Mailbird does not let you read your email from the bottom of the panel. I spoke with them on this matter and they are not going to change or make it an option, like date received, would list top or bottom, very easy to do you would think.

    • @segundamilareakindeleG

Hi, I'm trying to find out the best email client to go for. I'm currently considering eM Client, MAILBIRD and Blue mail. But according to your comment that - it doesn't let you read your email from the bottom of the panel - what do you mean by that? And better still which one do you think i can opt for out of these?

I think the Win 10 mail client would be enough for most people, but there is a copy/paste bug that makes it pretty hard to use. Thunderbird interface is just garbage and the integration with gmail is so buggy. A few meetings got all messed up when I tried to switch to Thunderbird. I paid for Mailbird lifetime, but it has some real resource issues. Works fine for a while and then just hangs a lot. Found myself restarting it at least once or twice a day when mail just fails to show when clicked on. Last week I switched to eM Client. This has been the best so far. Easy to set up with 2 gmail accounts and I haven't seen any bugs. I chose not to download all my mail, because there isn't an option I could see to limit to a few months of emails. Those accounts are too big to download everything. But eM Client so far is my favorite.

Very good presentation on the top 5 email clients; and I also have a question. Dragon speech to text used to work in my Thunderbird email, then it just stopped working, and all I get is a box that says "Please say that again"! Is there any way to re-enable Dragon in Thunderbird; or is there another program speech to text program available? I have contacted Dragon and they were no help, and in fact seemed evasive as to why the program has stopped working in Thunderbird. Thank you for any help you can provide.

I hate that almost every email client now is following microsoft's design, i.e. force-open the mail you click on immediately without giving you an option not to do so. imagine you want to delete a mail you know exactly that it contains malware and only that one. you need to click on it to select it first and then delete it right? this design just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. yet everyone just keeps following it, it's just so frustrating.

Just installed Bluemail and it´s already driving me nuts. Due to my business I have several Mailaccounts. At least 20 with my own domain plus Gmail. It is not possible to understand which account I´m selecting, prior to select it and open a mail. You can only see it checking the recipient. Not even on the top of the page it shows the accounts name. Instead of dispalying the accounts in a list, it only shows small icons (3 in a row). Absolutely confusing and impracitcal. Unfortunately I only found that out after setting up everything. An hour of time wasted. Also the desktop app hung up, after I pressed the button to change the layout. Very disappointing app!

EMclient, hands down, tried them all in my small office operation. It's so easy to group, chat, and make notes on top of any drafts or to do notes like "find lesa's email and return, or start one, and then put all the recipients in an overlaid note after you copy them from your work site and paste into the Tofields

Thunderbird is a jack of all trades and while the tabbed email experience is its best design feature, in terms of UI and user experience, it is a hellish nightmare. It's cluttered, complicated, an absolute hassle and very very unpleasant to look at. Finding email or getting things done in TB is as cumbersome as sifting through 10 year old mail folders in real life... and im talking about the recently "updated" UI even.

Been using Thunderbird for year. The upside are the add-ons. The downside are the add-ons 🙂
Add-ons can break when TB updates. RN I'm dealing with an issue where the add-on used to update my google calendar. Now it no longer works 😞 ... I'm always afraid to update now because I don't know which feature I will lose next.
But it is open source ... maybe i'll write my own 🙂

    • @zola.exe92
      @zola.exe92 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

What about not updating at all? ;^)
Jokes aside, I hope that is an option, as I use several outdated software, as it seems like many get worse and worse with their needless, useless features that bloat them over time. I do appreciate software that merge functions from others (when they do work), so I don't need to use as many, but several end up becoming bloatware clusters.

Subscribed and sharing with all my partners, we'll but I'll just make 'em use email client. Everybody that has it with the note option uses it to cut ad paste all the recipients in the note and paste them into the To section, and it draws nearly ZERO CPU usage.ote

I hate Microsoft with passion 🤣 I'm a windows user and have been using Microsoft for 20+ years. Its still a very frustrating experience. Every so often they will aquire/update/discontinue something absolutely essential. Inconsistencies in functionalities between desktop and web apps... I've lost data (likeyears worth of OneNote) entire accounts (Skype due to login conflicts), etc. It's always freaking something.
