My interest in solving Rubik's cube started when I found a mirror cube somewhere in my dad'a aliexpress pile. Previously I only had very bad quality cubes that would constantly jam. So I learned how to solve the cube using CFOP and memorized it completely. IT actually felt much easier when the cube had shapes instead of colors, since I can immediately see what's wrong and what belongs where. Now I want to become wven better by learning Roux method... Wish me luck!

re: what roux solvers do for dots
for the case where you just have the centers, most people will try to skip it, but if you are left with it the E2 alg is better.
for the one where you just have edges, people will just cancel the AUF into (U2) then the double vertical swap alg, so it'd be (U2) M' U2 M2 U2 M' (U2)

Sorry if this wasn’t clear to read

Most people would disagree with me with this..
But roux Is undoubtedly the best speedcubing method.
I’ve been cubing for a year, and for 7 months I’ve been using beginners Method. Then I wanted to learn an advanced method for 3x3. To make a rough estimate, 4 out of 5 people first try Cfop. Also me, and I realized that it was really hard to understand. Intuitive F2L was hard to understand, then OLL had 10 algorithms (which seemed a lot at the time) and pll had 6 algorithms (which was fine) but the thing is, if I want to improve I could use algorithmic F2L and try it out. Then 57 OLL ALGORITHMS! that’s a pretty high number, it’s not hard to memorise all, but it’s the recognition that is really hard. And then there are 21 PLL algorithms, but 1/5 of them are Gperms, which are a nightmare to memorise, Let’s not even talk about V perms, N perms Are 20 moves, which kind of ruins the move count. F perms Aren’t short also. I think they are about 20. Moves too, meaning that moves for cfop can be 55-60 but maybe a bit more. There are 494 Zbll algorithms, that’s kinda ridiculous, but what about the 3915 1LLL algorithms.
In roux, making the First and second block is very easy, then making all the corners oriented (CMLL) Can be done with just Cll, a method on 2x2, or Ortega (also a method on 2x2.)
LSE is where people get stuck, but it isn’t hard. You need to get to a point where you have 3 bad edges at the top, and 1 at the bottom. Then Do 1 of 2 algorithms, which are both 3 moves long. Solving the L/R edges is easy. Get both of the edges on the bottom face, then intuitively solve them, which is very easy. It has less move count.
Also, kian mansour got a OH WR average with roux, and Sean Villanueva got the 3rd sub 6 average.
I want to try out roux. When I started CFop, I was getting 1 minute 50 second solves, to 2 minute and 20 second solves, but with roux, the slowest I got was 2 minutes, and fastest was 38 seconds. I only started roux yesterday. I average 34 seconds btw. With CFOP
