Flying 3 A380’s (Emirates, Qantas and Singapore) I’ve gotta say the A380 will be dearly missed by the entire aviation community. The legroom and hospitality on the a380 is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.

Contrary to what has been stated in the video the impact of the 737MAX debacle has severely affected Boeing with net orders for 2019 of minus 87 as compared Airbus’ plus 768 net orders. The pandemic has served to further exacerbate the situation with a Boeing already facing in the first half of 2020 cancellations of hundreds of orders. Boeing was built on great engineering but it’s management culture today is leading to an exodus of skilled and experienced engineers. At a time when Boeing sorely needs to replace the 737 it has neither the funds or skills to do it.

As of 2020, Airbus. Boeing can't be trusted. Look at the 737 Max. Boeing made an amazing aircraft in the 1960's, which had a natural stable flight, but pushed that design to the point where they made it naturaly unstable in flight all for the sake of more profit and greed. It's now a company that is run by self centerd money grabbers at the expense of lives. There's even questions of the build quality of some of the early 787's build in North Charleston. So for me, I would by airbus at the moment, safty first.

Honestly, I prefer Airbus. Their planes are awesome. I once flew an A350XLRfrom Singapore to Newark (The longest flight in the world) with Singapore Airlines and it was super amazing! But I still agree with the video that Airbus is good in developing cheap planes so that more airlines will buy the planes and Boeing is better at buliding quieter aircraft so passengers will be at peace for the flight. So, airlines can choose which type suits them the best. Can you do Embraer vs Bombardier next?

This allowed the advancements that Boeing had made to position itself better and has a strong hold in America. @@gregsmith3410 I guess you have read more than whats written. So I should ask YOU what is it which have you been smoking.. I guess I haven't mentioned anywhere about the numbers/volumes sold. U cannot compare Boeing and Airbus based on the Number of aircrafts sold and which are still flying. Of-course Boeing has a greater number quite simply because it's been there longer in the game. So taking that into consideration, if you do the math on the number of "technical incidents" which have occured, proportionate to the number of units sold, Boing still has a greater number. Thats why I would say that Airbus is safer. Why don't you google that first Einstein??

@@raceking83 to compare the dismal a380 to any Boeing widebody is a mockery..and an insult to the intelligence of readers of this site.. your simply dragging it down with those ludicrous comments..
Hey .not saying all ab models are busts..they dominate the narrow body marketplace..but to say the biggest bust in commercial aviation history was a success..

For me, today, is very difficult decide who is the winner. In my opinion both aircraft manufacturers are wnners because the healthy rivalry between Airbus and Boeing has contributed to the technological evolution of aircraft at all levels and who wins with that are us as passengers .
However, and in parallel with this matter, the Boeing 747, mainly in the 200 and 400 variants, is for me the most beautiful commercial passenger jet plane of all time.

Here's my opinion based on the aircrafts today:
    For narrow-bodies,
737(exclude max because no sign of voices about that today) is pretty much equal to A320, both are pleased by airliners aroumd the world, i don't see any heavy cons in any of them.
    Wide bodies? 4 choices. A330CEO/NEO, A350XWB, B787, and B777.
A330CEO/NEO, while lost to a 787 in efficiency, it doesn't lose too far, and the fact that neo doesn't require pilot training, A330 series can be as efficient and cheap in short haul to medium haul routes in comparison to a 787. When it comes to long-haul flights, 787>A330 ofc because simply more range.
A330 series will be the best choice (if you can't wait for a long time order for 787) for medium haul flights, while 787 is perfect to give a try on an untested long haul destinations.
777 and its upcoming 777x? It's best to be used for high dense routes, example: SIN-HKG/SIN-LHR/HKG-LHR/ LHR-JFK because even A380/B747 can do the same job as well. But since superjumbos aren't going to live much longer, then the 777 will be the next aircraft to operate these routes.
A350XWB have a completely different market than a 787 and 777 so it isn't a direct competitor to either these jets, but XWB fills a spot between a 787/A330 and 777, and airliners around the world are ordering it.
787 and A350 may be competitors because both of them are used to replace first 777-200 series (200,200ER), while 787 have less fuel burn per seat, that doesn't mean 787 beats a350 in overall, since they have a completely different purposes. A350 is simply the best aircraft today by how high its ETOPS, and its impressive performance of replacing A340s which means it's a direct competitor to the 777. And it's worth noting that the XWB is best used to replace 777-200 LR/ 300ER on ultra long haul routes (or if they can't always fill the 777 in a full pax) [example is AUH-LAX, JNB-ATL (which delta did], and also to try high demand untested longhaul market like Singapore to Canada nonstop because of it's capacity similar to a 777 but fuel burnt per seat almost matching a 787.
A380 and 747? not going to spread my opinion, jumbos are pretty much obselete tho, cargos? surely 747 and 777 will be the best. Only have been on board on A380 and it seems to be my favourite aircraft all the time.
Don't even say that airbus copied boeing blablabla, they have a completely different design, and purpose, although they have the same materials used for their aircrafts. Don't even bring the max to reply me because it's clear i wrote EXCLUDE MAX. Airbus and Boeing are both the best plane makers today, change my mind if you can!

Airbus by far has WAY better comfort, silence, and space! (from A320 to A380) - Dreamliners - well... Not very comfortable compared to the 350 in My Opinion! 777 is a great plane, but 787 and 747 - well - I try to avoid them when possible... Delta, Finair, Turkish, Qatar, Emirates rules!

Visually, I like Boeing more obviously, I never seen anybody who likes Airbus noses better. In sim, Boeing gives me more manual feel to them, which I like. I would genuinely love to hear why Lufthansa/Emirates/BA/AF chosen what they have chosen. Ofc it will never happen because bullshit politics, but it'd be nice.

The fierce rivalry has produced 2 of the greatest aircraft ever designed..... the fantastic Boeing 777 and the truly amazing A350.
As far as the narrow body market goes, the 737 and A320 family of aircraft are probably the most competitive designs as more of these aircraft have been built and sold. In my opinion, Airbus has knockec Boeing off the top spot..... but only just.
If it's numbers that you want to judge it by, then Airbus have more orders as it currently stands.
And Cargo? Boeing are the boss in the this category, Airbus is WAY behind the American manufacturer here..... not even in the same league in my opinion.
