You shouldn't need to replace any BMS if you have copied over the serial number to the new battery

Great Video. I have used this method to replace my iphone 12 Pro Max battery that was at 73% and so was showing the service message 'your battery health is significantly degraded'. I replaced the battery and set the health to 100% and cycle count to zero. Even though the health is showing as 100%, the service message is still there? Do you know why this may be? and how do I remove it? Thanks
All good, but is not so comfort to have batteries for all phones from XR to 13 just to put them in before programmed one what you will use. I also have this programmer, will buy another.

What will happen if i just reset the battery capacity to 100 and cycles to 0 and just plug the battery back in the iPhone 11?? Will it show 100% capacity and if so will it reset immediately or will the % drop as normal?? Thanks🙏🙏🙏
I don’t know if I’m missing something so basically you’re resetting a battery to 100% without actually refurbishing it to 100% so people can get scammed thinking that they’re getting a new phone or a new battery that it’s actually 80% while appearing to be at 100%??????? Got it.

I don’t think you understood what he did. He removed the board of the original battery and put it on the new battery but since the original boards health still registers as 80% he reset the battery health to 100% so new battery and old board.
@@batman-oq1vc I think he understood that. But he thinks that there could be people who would fool you. The people do not exchange the battery but set the capacity simply high to 100%.

No that’s not what’s happening at all. The transferred chip had the old battery info. By resetting it once the chip is installed to the new after market battery, it deregulates the new battery health and wipes the old data. It’s wiping the old data not modifying bad batteries to sell for scams. Hope this helps

If you reprogrammed the original cable why do you need to use the flex cable with it?

Yes it needs to come from the original battery you are replacing

Just wondering, if you reset the bms board with tag flex, then no need to leave it on the bms flex? Did I understand right? Or should we still first connect the battery with the tag flex then remove it? Can you clear me out?
I have a new flex now from the i2c of the iphone 11 that is different from this one I don't work any of the ones I put this one on this model they all work now the new model didn't work at all. shows the correct % but does not load.

im trying to change my iphone xs as well. i think it’s possible to do it with the old battery inside and new one.
1.reset old battery
2.take out old battery and insert new one to get the error
3.remove dbms from old battery and weld onto new one
4.insert new battery again with welded dbms
i think it’s a solid plan but what do you think?

But that won't actually increase the capacity of a used battery right. It just change the display but not the actual capacity.
Well I got a used iphone 11 pro max battery health on 100% but I use battery stats shortcut and analytics data to determine my battery health level, my battery level was shows 93% and 0 charge count, is it a good battery
The explanation and reason for this because the old bms flex are still reading the original battery level even if you already modify and change the battery stats via the tools given.

yup. the majority of batteries on eBay are exactly this, a used battery with the data cleared. then they slap a gold sticker on it and advertise it as way higher capacity than it truly is.

@@alejandrorobledo4548 una vez ya concectes el tag-on flex con la batería ya programada lo dejas puesto si el cliente quiere que cuando lo concecte a la PC a un programa como 3utools le aparezca en 100% o 99% la condición. Si al cliente solo le interesa el 100% en los ajustes puedes usar ese mismo para reprogramar mas baterías

Wait, I still have to mess around welding stuff? Can't just copy the serial number over and use the board on the non-genuine battery?

@@MrPhoneDoctor I did all this, but don't have a spare battery to de-register the old battery. I put the new battery in after setting to 100%, 0 times, and it's still showing 'service'. /sigh

@@MrPhoneDoctor That's unfortunately not an option. There's no other way to re-calibrate afterwards?
@@raeldor there are some new tag flexes that don't require soldering. We have never tried them so don't know how well they work

Tag flex likes a simple IC that leave a battery data on the BMS board , but this data will never decrease automatically, in fact it forever stays at 100%

Can a third-party battery replacer put a fake battery in your iPhone and in settings it shows it's a genuine Apple part?
Yes they can. However that is very unethical to do that and should be disclosed if battery is replaced.

Spot on. I feel for the third party repairers, doing an honest job at reasonable prices. Apple rely on the fact that the average 'Joe' will have fear and doubt when they get these stupid messages leading them to believe that they have somehow had a rip-off job, not done properly. I am not in the business, but I can see what Apple are trying to do!
